Definitely a place worth coming back to. The owner and manager was super helpful and even made us a special sauce to pair with the dumplings. It had a heat with a numbing kick that was crazy good. Food and service is good but haven't had great experiences both times I've been here. The spicy wontons are very spicy and flavorful. I got Xiao Long Bao and it had good amount of broth and flavor. I also tried the Fried Cheese Wonton but I didn't enjoy them too much. Reason why I knocked down three stars is because the first time I came most of the people in my party, including myself, got stomach aches after. I decided to give it another try since the food was really good. Second time going we realized one of our spicy pork wontons was undercooked and the pork was still raw inside. Luckily my friend who discovered it didn't get sick from it as she realized half way through and spit out the rest. Love Mr. Dumpling for the extensive menu and healthy taste. Highly recommend the eggplant dish, which comes with an aromatic sweet and sour sauce. The chongqing chicken is delicious as well. Not unbearably spicy, though with plenty of mala flavor, and the chicken cubes are big enough that they aren't dry inside. The dumplings are of course delicious as well. I tried the fish ones and they're a mild fish, indistinguishable from tofu. I was pleasantly surprised that the pan fried dumplings are not at all greasy. Service is great-- very attentive! Food was amazingly tasty, flavorful, and authentic. I came in on Valentine's Day just to try it out before dinner and left fully satisfied. I ordered the spicy wontons and beef/onion pan fried dumplings. This was enough for me and my boy friend to get full. I think because it was so delicious our appetite was filled. I highly recommend. I really like that it's family owned, and operated. Service was lacking but it's a holiday. First time trying this place and I loved it!! The service was quick, the workers so attentive and friendly. We tried pan fried dumblings, shrimp chowmein, wings, and their spicy wontons. Everything was 10/10! I wish I would have taken pictures, but we devoured the food as soon as it came out. The restaurant itself looks a little bit small, however when we got there, there was only one other table so we didn't have trouble with service. We were welcomed and got seated at the center of dining area. Very cozy and pleasant ambience to enjoy dinner. Such a good spot! The inside of the restaurant was very clean and felt sanitary. After seeing how high the ratings were for this small restaurant, we had high expectations. However, many dishes fell short for us today. Chicken pan fried noodles: seasoning was good, but way too oily. My mouth was covered with oil the first bite. I couldn't finish it because it was just way too much oil. Could've been a good dish if it had some soup inside the dumplings. Pan fried beef and green onion dumpling: actually had some soup inside, so it was better than the xiao long baos. Good flavors inside and good amount of filling too. Spicy beef noodle soup: it was like a medium level spicy for me. The dish was well flavored, but the beef was tough to chew. Service was quick and friendly today, but the food was a bit disappointing. Everything came in to-go containers, so you can easily pack it up, if you didn't finish something.
