Pretty disappointed and would never come back. 1. Service was a 0/5! There was one other party in the restaurant which already got their food by the time my party of 5 ordered. We ordered some 3 dumplings, 2 apps, and 1 noodle soup; specifically beef noodle soup. We were given a seafood soup and notified a waiter. She was dismissive and says "Well I wrote down seafood." She didn't repeat our order and after some back and forth we were pressured to keeping and she said "Thank you." No admission of mistake or apology. 2. Sauce bar bothered me as there was a giant bowl of soy sauce and withered green onion laying out for who knows how long. At least the minced garlic was on ice. So I come here all the time. They have the best food! Cheap too. But the man who is really taller the tallest Asian man there was super rude to me when I ordered to go. I asked for a separate to go box to fill the toppings up at the station and he put his hand up to my face and said "hold on" while he helped other customers coming in. Then he asked what I wanted again and said he was confused and I said "a Togo box with a lid for the toppings at the toppings corner" and I literally pointed to it and he said ok "what do u want" "I'm going to give you onions" he gave me one tiny container of onions it was way more worth it to eat in so u have full access to the topping station. It was almost like he didn't want me to have anything or load up. I left with one tiny soy sauce, one tiny onion packet and one chilli oil for an order of 20 dumplings. The chefs in the back came forward because they felt the vibe that he was being aggressive in his body language almost to check the scene. Horrible experience with him. Food and service is good but haven't had great experiences both times I've been here. The spicy wontons are very spicy and flavorful. I got Xiao Long Bao and it had good amount of broth and flavor. I also tried the Fried Cheese Wonton but I didn't enjoy them too much. Reason why I knocked down three stars is because the first time I came most of the people in my party, including myself, got stomach aches after. I decided to give it another try since the food was really good. Second time going we realized one of our spicy pork wontons was undercooked and the pork was still raw inside. Luckily my friend who discovered it didn't get sick from it as she realized half way through and spit out the rest. Love Mr. Dumpling for the extensive menu and healthy taste. Highly recommend the eggplant dish, which comes with an aromatic sweet and sour sauce. The chongqing chicken is delicious as well. Not unbearably spicy, though with plenty of mala flavor, and the chicken cubes are big enough that they aren't dry inside. The dumplings are of course delicious as well. I tried the fish ones and they're a mild fish, indistinguishable from tofu. I was pleasantly surprised that the pan fried dumplings are not at all greasy. Service is great-- very attentive!
