    Radicchio grilled to perfection.

To start, this place is open for dinner also. And it's wonderful. Located in the Travestere neighborhood, though on a slightly quieter street. It's very small inside but nice seating on the sidewalk. I came here because although they serve some more traditional Roman food, they also had some items I didn't see at the many other restaurants in the area, including the sea bass carpaccio. It was incredible. The fish was very fresh and served with a balsamic vinegar glaze, a sweet jam, and fresh mint--which turned out to be a mouthwatering combination. It was also a fairly large plate of fish. I also had the Sardinian Culurgiones, which was a pasta stuffed with potato, mint, and Sardinian pecorino cheese, covered in fresh marinara. Very tasty. And although plenty of restaurants in the area serve pasta (almost all of them), very few had any sort of stuff pasta. And surely none as good as this. I also had the grilled raddichio, which was great and also not something I saw on any other restaurant menu. The service was lovely. It really feels like a mom and pop type of restaurant where they pour their hearts into their food. It was one of my favorite meals in Rome, and if you are in the Travestere, and keep seeing the same menus over and over again and want something a little different, I highly recommend Mr. Clood. A complete hole in the wall offering totally local cuisine. They are run by Monica and her father (two people pulling the weight of 20!) and the personal touches cannot be understated. One of the best meals we had in Rome, around €50 a head with house wine. The pastas are not to be missed. We had a lemon and fish spaghetti that was out of this world and the table next to us ordered seconds of the lasagna after they finished their meal!

I'm reluctant to write a review about Mr. Clood, only because I don't want it to be discovered by swarms of tourist crowds. It is a true gem, and hands down the best meal we had while in Rome. We were in Trastevere on a Friday night and needed a dinner plan, pronto. Mr Clood came to is as a recommendation, so we waited until they opened and asked if we could book a reservation for later in the evening. Once our dining time had arrived, in addition to a standard menu, Monica (owner) offered a whole assortment of seasonal options for each course. What makes Mr Clood unique--and what blew us away--was how truly phenomenal their seafood dishes were. To start: I ordered some sort of a whitefish tartare that came with pomegranate seeds. The combination of brine and tang was not something I would have paired...and it was amazing. We each had pasta (with seafood) for our second course, and more seafood for the main. No dessert...because there was no room left in my stomach! In general, trust any recommendation from Monica. We took her every bit of guidance and left full and extremely happy. The food will blow you away, and you'll be welcomes in the small cozy restaurant for as long as you wish! Don't miss a chance to dine at Mr Clood.

    everything was tasty

We just arrived Rome and found this place. As you can tell from the pic of my sons 'digging in', the meal was delicious. The family who runs it is very friendly and at the ready to explain what's on the menu. Highly recommended. Let's keep it a secret :)

The best place in Italy and specific in Rome. The best pasta, the best fishes, the best food, the best service. We are looking for 2 weeks for the best pasta in Italy and now we found it!

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Already depressed knowing we were returning to the cold and fearful Minneapolis, we spent the day packing and wandering Prati. After drowning our sorrows at a few cocktail emporiums in the early evening, we walked into Su e Giu without a reservation close to 9:30. The two guys working the front showed us to a table, and we proceeded to have a perfect last night meal. Our appetizers and pastas were great, service was friendly, and I spent time reflecting on how wonderful Rome is, rather than thinking about our return to the fractured States. Su e Giu Cucina Romana is the perfect Roman restaurant to feel La Dolce Vita. It is a sweet life indeed.

This shop is more of a countertop order from their limited menu but the menu is executed so well you'll be tempted to order multiple bowls. There are a few stools and table out front to enjoy your food hot. Both times I've been on separate visits within two years, has only shown me how consistent their food and quality is. You can pair your dishes with an aperol spritz or mini bottle of wine for less than five euros. The pasta was about nine to eleven euros and the portions were more than plenty. The chef and owner are super nice and very informative about their dishes. If you are a fan of spice you have to try their chef-recommended dish. They had one dish topped with pancetta and I just about wanted to lick my bowl clean. Everyone in the group was raving how delicious it was. Egg will forever be on my must-have when visiting Rome.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem. In fact, they made a mistake and we kindly let them know we ordered something else- they corrected it and were nice about it.
