Spectacular spectacular Indian fare with exemplary hospitality. Who knew this would could ever be a thing? In the new wing of the old Winn Dixie plaza, really? There's serious eats here that make so many others look and feel and taste like they're calling it in. I mean I don't know how they're doing it, but they do it. And that's all that matters. I went in thinking this would be mid at best on a curious yelpie foodie adventure and now I'm rethinking whether or not my favorite Indian place is as good. They're that good.

We're new to the Deltona area and were wanting Indian food. My husband came across this place online and went to pick up food. He had great conversation with the staff and brought back home delicious food! We devoured the samosas. We both got butter chicken and garlic naan. They recommended the cheese naan for our daughter which was really good too! We never knew it was thing. We'll definitely be getting more.

Went out for dinner after prepping for a conference. A little hesitant to go to an Indian restaurant in Deltona but don't be fooled, they know what they're doing. In this small restaurant their dishes packs a punch. The goat chettinadu was surprisingly different from anything I've tasted. Seems like they had southern Indian/kerala regional dishes. Great place to stop if you're craving Indian cuisine!!

I was working around the area and found this place in Yelp. Went in and got a table, asked the very polite server which chicken entree he would recommend, he replied "with or without curry", and I chose with, of course. He recommended the chicken with mango curry (Chicken Amwala in the menu). Omg... it was so delicious... This was the best Indian food I've had in my life. I would eat the mango curry every day if I could. Crazy good. The restaurant is so far from my home, but I will drive to eat here again. As a bonus, the place is super neat and clean, service was great, everyone smiling, not a single bad note.

Great food and great service. The space is small, with some tables outside, but the flavors have no limit. I ordered several things, two curries, a chicken biriyani, samosas and garlic naan. It was a nice meal, and thankfully the flavors and quality were all present. The weakest point was the dessert, but since the food was great, I am not taking it into account. Please read the menu before coming, take this as a friendly tip.

Food is so delicious one of the best hidden spots in deltona be here around 2 years but I believe a lot of people are messing out of they have never been. Great staff and the music is peaceful

We wanted something different and found this gem. Great service and great food. Would definitely return.

The staff was very friendly. Dont be fooled by the strip mall it's located in - The interior is gorgeous! I ordered Madras Chicken and Chili chicken, along with some garlic bread to go. The food was so fresh and hot. The flavor was WONDERFUL! I will definitely be back.

This place is amazing! From the wonderful server to the awesome food! The Phaal was delicious it was not spicy enough for me so they brought out minced habaneros. The server was so sociable and welcoming! Everything I ordered I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The Naan was so soft and delicious and the butter sauce on the side was omg. They samosas and the sauces I cannot say enough! The masala and Phaal were so delicious The place has limited seating but it was not loud it was a great atmosphere. I will definitely be back. I cannot wait to try the other foods.

This is a local gem. The food is Authentic Indian cuisine, with good service, and excellent food. My favorite dish, by far, is the Butter Chicken. You just can't go wrong! The garlic naan pairs perfectly and the medium spice level is more than enough for my spicy-food-loving palate. The chicken tandoori is also pretty good.

What "premium ingredient" or "elevated presentation" made the very common appetizer served to me worth $3-4 per singular cauliflower. Like I said, if you're willing to pay premium prices for mid food, go here. I was excited to try this new spot last weekend. I enjoyed the meal but nothing about the flavor or ingredients stood out. Honestly, the food is just fine. For a restaurant that claims to be fine dining, the food should be special or be done well. They did have a gimmick menu where they put gold leaf on a bunch of dishes (pictured). They even put it in my chai. I could see that doing well on IG and winter park socials. I felt that the prices were very extreme for the portions you got. For example, I got an appetizer of Gobi Manchurian that was about $17. I'm not even kidding, there were FIVE pieces of cauliflower on my dish. The rest of the meals were about the same. The shape of the dishes make the meal appear larger, which feels tricky not design focused. Overall, if you're willing to pay, it's not a bad meal but there are plenty of better Indian restaurants in the area to choose over Jala.

I recently visited Ammrit Indian Cuisine and had an overall positive experience. It's easy to see…read morewhy it's popular in the area. The menu offers a wide range of traditional Indian dishes, and I really appreciate that they allow you to customize the spice level to your preference. That makes it accessible whether you're new to Indian food or someone who enjoys a little heat. The daily lunch buffet is also a big plus, especially if you want to sample different dishes in one visit. The food itself is good and well-prepared, with solid flavors and generous portions. That said, it does feel like the kitchen leans toward catering to the general market. The spice profiles are toned down, and while that makes the dishes approachable, it slightly softens the authenticity you might expect from a more traditional Indian restaurant. One subtle indicator of that broader appeal is the wine list -- something you don't often see emphasized in more classic, traditional Indian establishments. That being said, Ammrit strikes a reasonable balance. It offers familiar, comfortable Indian cuisine that works well for a wide audience while still delivering recognizable flavors and quality ingredients. If you're looking for dependable Indian food in South Daytona with flexible spice options and a welcoming atmosphere, it's definitely worth a visit.

Bombay pops up, is highly rated, and is just about a mile and a half away from where we were. We pull up, go in, and it's clean, cozy & bright. The servers are really kind. My friend's young daughter is trying to do vegan, and my friend has a tree nut allergy AND eats gluten-free, and they can accommodate ALL OF THAT! Yay! This is one of the best menus I've seen in the United States for Desi food, and true to Orlando style, they also have some "asian" dishes / cool combos of Chinese & Indian on the menu. I have never seen so many restaurants with two/hybrid/fusion menus as I have in Orlando! We got Hakka Noodles, Pani Puri, Masala Dosa, Palak Paneer & Chai. Pani Puri came assembled already and in a cute little wagon. Everything tasted amazing!! Tasted fresh-made with fresh ground spices & tasty ingredients. It was very reasonably priced, and the food came out fast. We didn't finish it all & they were prompt with the to go containers. Definitely going back. Thanks you guys!

The platter includes three dishes the Samosa Chaat, Dahi Bhalia Chaat, and the Pani Poori. Personally, I wish the Pani Poori came with chutneys instead of the mint water and tamarind water. Because both of the Chaats had chutneys and they were really good. The chutney flavored water didn't have much flavor to it. If you're looking to try something new I would definitely recommend the Chaat Platter. The Gulab Jamun Creme Brulee was delicious. It didn't have much of a Gulab Jamun taste but the custard was good. The serving bowl is pretty shallow so you don't get much but for $7 I'm not upset. There's a couple other desserts that I would like to try next time though. Because of the pricing, if I were to try appetizers and desserts I probably wouldn't get a meal as well. My server was Harika and she was a pleasure! Her and the other staff went over my questions and helped show me pictures so I could know what I was ordering. I certainly appreciated it. Will definitely be back.

Ambiance is nice. Good lighting, classy looking tables, some nice, chill Indian music playing softly in the background. Good stuff. Service was good. Our server was very friendly and did his best to answer our questions. We needed some allergy friendly food, and there were a few questions where he just didn't know and made a best guest. That's fair, I guess, but that just needs to be better. Food came out timely and nice and hot, the tandoori chicken sizzling up a storm. Now for the food. I started off by getting a Vegetarian Special Appetizer (A combination platter with samosa, aloo tikki, onion bhajiya, mixed pakoras and chili pakoras) for the table. These are always fun, because you don't always know what you're eating. Samosas are always wonderful, and the onion bhajiya is like a better latke. Get this if you like to sample things. Then I had a Lamb Biryani (Lamb and basmati rice cooked with saffron and spices, garnished with cilantro, nuts and raisins). If you're a biryani fan, I'd probably pass on this one. Not a great example of biryani. Very little saffron and other garnishes. There are other great things on this menu. Of course, I had to get some Garlic Naan (Light bread made with fresh garlic, herbs and cilantro). A+ delicious. Light, rippable, soft, garlicky, good for grabbing food like you don't have silverware and adding flavor and texture to every bite. The Chicken Tandoori (Chicken marinated overnight in yogurt with fresh Indian spices and grilled in a clay oven) came out last and on its own, sizzling like the center of attention like a steak fajita. Chicken was well-cooked and very tender. Lots of good flavor, but maybe a little too salty. Overall, this was a very good introduction to Indian food for a few of my co-workers. I'm glad we came. It was a nice visit.

Fifth Element Indian Kitchen 1448 W International Speedway…read moreBlvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114 I really wanted to like Fifth Element Indian Kitchen, but this visit was a complete letdown. We ordered the Thali expecting a well-rounded, flavorful Indian meal--but what arrived at the table was far from it. The food was served cold, which immediately set the tone. Naan, which should be soft, warm, and slightly crisp on the edges, was instead leathery and overly chewy, almost as if it had been sitting out far too long. The Thali was supposed to include chicken biryani and chicken curry, but both dishes missed the mark entirely. The chicken served was dark thigh meat, which in itself isn't an issue when cooked right--but here, it lacked any depth or proper preparation. More disappointing was the complete absence of flavor. Indian cuisine is known for its rich layers of spices and aromas, but everything on the plate felt bland and lifeless, as if the spices were an afterthought rather than the heart of the dish. Adding to the disappointment, the interior decor felt very dated and gloomy, lacking the warmth or vibrancy you'd hope for in a dining space. The bathrooms were also filthy, which only made the overall experience worse. Having dined at several Indian restaurants, we know what a good Thali should taste like--balanced, vibrant, and satisfying. This was none of that. It felt rushed, poorly executed, and lacking the care that defines authentic Indian cooking. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing enough that we won't be returning.
