Lamb Rogan style and chicken curry. With a pepper bread, and rice pudding

This place is a hidden gem/gold mine. If you like authentic foods then this place is for you. My favorites are chicken tiki Masala , chicken curry, lamb, and goat, Rogan style, it's hidden in the Publix shopping center. This place doesn't even catch your eye by driving by, it just looks like there's nothing going on in there. I will reassure you that this place is well updated and seems like a family run business. So if you are in the area and are hungry and need to eat fast but want quality, this is your place, if you just drive right on by then goto your favorite place called " McDonald's " lol. Don't take my ward just try it. You will be very impressed.

Wow!!! It's an authentic Indian restaurant in Port Orange! We got the lunchbox and it will used for 2-3 meals as it was large! Great spices and very impressed. We sat in the tables in the back- it's a restaurant area in back and a few tables in the front. Give it a try!

We visited this restaurant at the recommendation of someone local. It is a staple of the area, for…read moresure. The restaurant overlooks the river and has a separate bar area with a full bar. The Pink Flamingo was delicious. The biggest surprise for us was the cinnamon roll kitchen where bakers are making fresh cinnamon rolls in front of you and you can eat as many as you like! The beauty of this restaurant is that the "fish camp" fixins' are on an all-you-can-eat buffet. But your entree is made to order, fresh for you! Best of both worlds! We had 8 in our party and were delighted to know that it takes 12 for the gratuity to be automatic. That was not an issue, though. Our first server "cousin Richard" was excellent, but then he got pulled away and "cousin Bailey" took care of us. Both were delightfully friendly and very attentive. In our group we had chicken tenders, which I sampled and were some of the best I've ever had. We had shark and alligator appetizers. They were both awesome. We had sautéed shrimp and sautéed scallops. Both were swimming in a delicious buttery garlic sauce and cooked to perfection. One had meatloaf and said it was great! One had salmon. And a couple of people had the crab cakes which they also said were delicious. The sides were also good, and the "fish camp" sides were awesome. I want to especially comment on the cheese grits. As a G.R.I.T.S. (Girl raised in the south) and a devout grits snob, I give my wholehearted double thumbs-up on the grits. I thought my grandson was going to make himself sick eating so much! Final word, the cinnamon rolls were AMAZING!! Warm out of the oven and covered with sugary sauce.

Overall the food was good but overall bad experience, unfortunately. Our waiter was struggling…read morebad... He messed up the order of a table next to us twice and the guy didn't eat while his entire family ate their meals. Not sure if he was new or just having a very bad day. My wife got sick halfway through our appetizer meal and I promptly told him I needed 2 boxes and the check as soon as he brought our main dish... I waited at least 30 minutes until he came back with the check and boxes, then he left again to correct the check for another 10-15. I wished he would have been a bit faster and more attentive since we were trying to leave in somewhat of a rush... I think maybe this place is just understaffed or we got a bad waiter. The catfish was still good the next day and the cinnamon rolls were AMAZING though!!

So, , if you read MM's Google review from 2 weeks ago, you'll see little has changed. We arrived…read moreafter church around noon on Sunday. One person was sitting at an outdoor table, there was a table of six and a table of 2 seated ahead of us. The last page of the menu states food is prepared "a la minute," so prepare yourself for a 15-40 minute wait for your food. If this is the case, we'd like to recommend the owners put out some bread and butter for the patrons to munch on as they prepare for the long wait. We watched as the table of 6 food came out rather haphazardly and certainly not all at once. We happened to have a coupon for a free appetizer, so we ordered the Crab Dip and a side salad to start along with our main entrees of "Fall Off The Bone" Ribs and Octopus Rissoto as soon as the server came by to take our order. So, 4 tables for her and she was by herself and the owner was in the kitchen cooking the food. The server bumped this review up an extra star. After sitting, waiting for quite some time, we had to ask the server if she could at least bring out the salad, and she said it was coming next. We'll, the Iceberg salad, came out along with the lukewarm Crab Dip and chips that could have been fresher. So, we ate those, and the main entrees were ready to come out as we finished the dip. The server brought out the fries and coleslaw and then we waited for the entrees to follow. The Octopus, surprisingly, was the best item. The rissoto was too dry for us. The ribs were the worst we've ever had dining out. Even with the sharp knife provided it was tough to cut the ribs apart from each other and the backside was burnt. Again, we were told the owner was cooking. These ribs should never have come out of the kitchen. We ate 2 of the 4 ribs and asked the server to take the other 2 back and present them to the chef along with our remark of them being the worst we've ever had when dining out. The server took the ribs back and removed $5 off the $17.99 ribs. As we left there was one table left finishing up their meal. The owner had every opportunity to come out and address the ribs and our dining experience but apparently chose not to do so. Anyway, we dine out at least twice a week and prefer to give the smaller mom and pop establishments are hard earned money. So, I implore the owner to go back and read MM's review from 2 weeks ago and realize nothing seems to have changed in our eyes. We won't be returning either as he/she had every opportunity to receive feedback in person while we were at the establishment. By the way, the server didn't know we were getting a complementary appetizer when she gave us the $5 off the ribs and we have no idea how she came up with that figure. Service was very good from her with what she had to deal with in the kitchen.
