I have eaten here multiple times (about every other week) and has always been a decent experience. The last time I went in for lunch, a few weeks back, I ordered my normal meal (Tikka Masala, with a side of sauce) and the waiter said the chef was refusing to fill my order. Again, I've ordered this meal several times and I'm not for sure what was driving the issue with the chef refusing to fill my order? We came in for lunch since Diwali was today and had a good experience. We all opted for the buffet, but also ordered a dosa from the menu. From the buffet, I enjoyed tikka masala, fish curry, goat curry, basmati rice, naan, onion baji, and an assortment of condiments. Each item was delicious, hot, and packed with flavor. The dosa was crispy and rich. Service was good. We got seated right away and our waiter made sure we had water. The store had Diwali decorations and they had Bollywood music videos playing. We came here for dinner for the first time a few weeks back. Staff was very friendly. Everything we ordered was very good but spicy even when we ordered mild (holy cow!!!). We ordered the Mutter panner and asked specifically to be super mild. My kid likes a bit of spicy and she had a hard time eating a mild panner. We also ordered the Rogan josh - my husband loves spicy food, but he ordered medium - he said it was the hottest indian dish he ever had. I only had the chicken corn soup which was delicious. This review is for a TAKEOUT order and not dine in. My husband had gone to 5th Element last night to get some food for 4 people. When he arrived, he said the place was very big and seemed a little busy. He placed an order for mutton biryani, chicken biryani. 2 dosas, idli, veg noodles, and gobi Manchurian. When he came home, I was very shocked at the portion sizes and how huge they were, esp the biryanis and noodles. One entree could feed 3-4 people! We will def remember that for next time. That is a plus for this restaurant. We told them to make the veg noodles mild and when I tried it, it was def mild and tasted fresh. It had a good amount of vegetables and the noodles were thick and soft. It was also not too salty which is a plus. They had 5 levels of spiciness and we told them to make it a 1. The gobi Manchurian was also good but very spicy. I am not sure if they had levels if spiciness for that but it def should. I only ate a couple of those and could not eat the rest because of the hotness. My husband ate the dosa and idli. He said the idli tasted like it was previously frozen and not made fresh. That's unfortunate because idlis taste best when prepared just before consumption. The dosa was also not prepared fresh. When he came home, it should have been warm and crispy, however, it was cold and a little soggy. It seemed like they made the dosa first and not as the last order of a takeout. We did not eat the biryanis yet because of the amount of food in the other entrees so I cannot comment on those. Also our experience might be different if we had dined it. read more

Definitely one of the better Indian buffets in the area. If you go in the weekend, expect a crowd and a short wait time. They try to seat you as quickly as possible but it's usually pretty packed and for a good reason. The restaurant is kept clean and has an authentic vibe to it with Bollywood music videos playing in the background. The buffet seems small but has a selection of favorites that changes every so often. It's separated by vegetarian and meat dishes. There's always some kind of curry chicken, tandoori, and at least two kinds of rice. The naan is replenished often and is always hot and fresh. They also include authentic hot chai with the buffet price. But to be honest, the dessert options are really the winners here. The gulab jamun is a personal favorite and the option the have an "unlimited" amount is just dangerous. Do NOT skip the mango soft serve ice cream. This is fire af, super refreshing, and I need a machine of it in my house. It will not disappoint. The service is a little lacking during the buffet and we had to flag down the waiter to ask for drinks. Sometimes the items at the buffet run out and are not quickly replenished so there may be a wait for some of the more popular items. The buffet price when we went is reasonable for the amount of food you get (I think like $20pp). A lot of the food is on the spicer side so if you're sensitive to spice you might want to skip the buffet and order a la carte to customize your spice level. Pro tip: grab a some mango ice cream to keep close with your meal. It puts the fire out if you try something beyond your spice tolerance. read more

Bahuta acchā! Very good Indian food with a nicely organized lunch buffet. Have not even been here for dinner, but enjoyed a leisurely Saturday lunch here. Lots of spiced Indian rice, hearty vegetarian curry and stews, nice selection of meat based curries, tandoori chicken, salad, dessert, soup, and made fresh dosa cooking area with chef. Came here on a whim in the mood for tandoori chicken, was excited to find it on the buffet. Very nice quality, freshly replenished food when it runs low, and very clean. Service was attentive and kept buffet clean. Lots of people dining here, which is a good sign for the place. Enjoyed the spiced basmati rice cooked with vegetables, the buttery naan, and the chicken 65 (I think that is the name). The chicken 65 was small pieces of chicken coated in a spicy savory coating, reminded me of buffalo chicken bites, but more heat and Indian spices. Love the green mint sauce with salad and chicken. Both of the soups I tried were good, the one with more hot pepper, veggies, and smokey flavor was best. This place gets surprisingly busy and the lunch buffet was around $15 per person. My first visit to 5th Element, lunch time on a Saturday. Buffet only, no other choice. Fine, I love Indian food. Surprise: no Masala on the buffer. No butter chicken. Nothing similar. Now folks, Tika Masala is the ONE reason I go to India restaurants. Ok? Manager stops by, asks, "how's everything?" I say, "ok, but there's no Masala on the buffet." "What?" I repeat my complaint & he walks away. Also, at the buffet we asked a server, "what's in this one?" (pointing) And he points at the NAME of the mystery food. "Yes, but what are the ingredients?" I love Indian food, and wanted to give 5th Element a try. The food was ok. It was faster to just get a to go box and fill it from the buffet. The food you see in the pic was weighed and came out to $20 before tip. Everything we got was super spicy. I love spice but the descriptions should let you know which items are higher levels of spice. I've tried other places locally for Indian food, and unfortunately this falls below those places, which is a shame since this is so close driving distance wise for us. I had high expectations from this restaurant as I have tried there food at Palm Coast, FL location (which was really good). But I was highly disappointed. They opened in Orlando in first week of June. No wonder they get some rush as there are lot of Offices and IT companies around and the nearest Indian restaurant is in Lake Mary. The location is very good. Ambience is also decent. They also have a bar. But it's just like a standard Indian restaurant offering nothing new or innovative in their menu. Me and a friend went there for dinner on a weekday. Ordered Egg Curry, Veg Vindaloo, roti and naan. Even with some rush, the service was good. Food came on time. But taste was not what we expected. It could have been better. I will go there once again to try the buffet. And I am hoping that I would get to update this review and add a Star here. Went here on a date night with my husband to try Indian food. It was recommended from a friend and we were so thankful for the recommendation. The atmosphere was nice. Many families so good spot to come with your family. The food was delicious! We tried the Masala Dosa for the appetizer and it was so delicious! We ordered it again the next time. Entree we had a Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. So yummy! We both loved it. The food was so so good! For dessert, we had the mango soft serve which was so good. It was light and delicious. I came here for their Mother's Day lunch buffet. The place is nicely set up, and the bar is stocked with tons of delicious food. Every mother in the restaurant got a rose. That was nice of them. Let's go over some major points I want to cover. There are a ton of dishes here that I had never seen before. I am ashamed to say that I've only ever been exposed to the mainstream Indian food, before, so I was overwhelmed by my options. A lot of things from the bar had giant chunks of vegetables in it. I like veggies, but some of the pieces were so large that they were almost not cooked throughout. Just some food for thought. There was shrimp masala dish there that I would have eaten an entire plate of over rice if I could. It was absolutely delicious and light and the shrimp were not overcooked. A fine example of seafood. Another thing to keep in mind is to not overfill on carbs. There is rice and naan and fried dough aplenty. Get your sample, make sure it's mixed with delicious meat/veggie main dishes, and enjoy. But if you load up on the carbs, you'll be too full to enjoy anything else. Speaking of sides, check out the dessert bar for some chutneys/sauces you can bring to the table for dipping and mixing. My favorites were the coconut and the tamarind. A lot of that Indian food really is enhanced by a touch of sweetness. Also, be careful with the meat dishes. There are bones within some of the pieces of meat. Some of them with jagged edge. You don't be able to fork it all out. You're gonna have to pick up the piece and go to town like a chicken wing. Finally, the chicken was delicious. All of it was perfectly cooked, wonderfully seasoned, and I just gobbled it all down. I usually find chicken boring, but man, it was good here. Overall, I really enjoyed this place. I feel like my eyes have been opened to different spices and veggies and more naan than I could handle. I'm coming back. Probably very soon. read more

I ordered the lamb jalfraize, savory tender chunks of lamb cooked with onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes in a rich intensely flavored sauce. Wow! So good! We started with the onion kulcha.
