I have ordered from here before to satisfaction but tonight the food was super good! The orange chicken was a hit with my daughter, she requested. Several times she announced her satisfaction. Explaining she cannot wait to have the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I usually get the honey sauce chicken but mistakenly ordered the sweet sour chicken wings and was displeased when I saw the red sauce because of my mistake. However, that all changed once I tasted the chicken, so good! Definitely ordering the sweet sour chicken again! I also couldn't find the option for fries on the UberEats app and put in a note for fries not egg rice. I called just to be sure they saw and a manager called me back to ease and confirm my order. The fries were a little over done but still o.k. Mr. Changs granted, confirmed and paid attention to all things in my notes! Overly satisfied tonight! Great customer service tonight Mr. Changs! This was one of the first places I ate when I moved to Sunrise. There's seating inside to wait for your food and it typically takes about 10 minutes. I've never had it delivered. One of my favorite things are their Crab Wontons and their honey chicken. The crab wontons are cut into triangles and it's super creamy (come with 8). I usually inhale them within 5 minutes of holding the bag. I really like how the honey chicken is divided meaning, you have to pour the honey on top. The fried rice is ok, not one of my favorites. My boyfriend usually gets the lo mein and the orange chicken. I just think it's a little over priced. read more

I have lived in NYC before moving to Sunrise. And I can honestly say I haven't found my favorite Chinese food takeout since moving here...... but .... there was Mr. Chang's! The chicken and broccoli General Tso's Chicken Egg rolls Hot and Sour soup Fried rice Lo Mein ...to name a few that are top notch. You won't be disappointed. I moved to this area around 2 years ago and have enjoyed ordering take out from this restaurant but this last visit change that for me. This last time I went, I decided to order the food at the restaurant and wait for it there. After paying, the cashier walked to the kitchen... I stood to the side of where you order and was waiting for the cashier to come back to ask her a question. While walking to the back she moved the blinds and I was able to get a clear view of the kitchen. I saw when one of the cooks took out a bucket of what looked like cooked boneless spare rib (which was what I ordered) and he proceeded to grab a handful out of the bucket with his bare hands. I found this to be gross and of poor hygiene. Once they gave me the food, the only thing I did eat was the crab rangoons and I ended up throwing away everything else. I had already paid for the food so I felt bad returning it but this will forsure be the last time I visit this restaurant. read more

I have only eaten here 2 times and that was enough forever! I can honestly say this is the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. I ate here twice last year before I was a yelper. If this is the right establishment, it is in publix plaza. My advice, there's a golden crust right next store where the food is really good. I made The mistake of ordering pad Thai. I guess I should only order that dish from a Thai restaurant. It was pretty bad. Pad thai is mostly noodles and they really did a bad job. Poor consistency. The noodles were not very good. Also I ordered vegetable. They did leave out the mushrooms as I requested. The problem is that they did not put much of anything else and there. It was a waste of money. I have had Szechuan vegetables from them and it was decent. I have learned my lesson however to only order pad thai from a Thai restaurant. read more

I have ordered from Mr. Changs so many times I can't believe I have never left them a review. This is my local go to spot for Chinese take out. It's not your typical five star sit down restaurant. Its one of those Chinese take out joints with no seating in a Publix plaza. The establishment is very small and appears to be clean. One of the things that brings me back is their combination rice. I could order just a quart of combination rice and be a happy man, that could be my meal and I would be perfectly fine with it. If you are wondering, it's fried rice with pork, chicken, beef, shrimp, and happiness in every bite! I always get their crab rangoons which once again, are always perfectly crispy on the outside filled with a warm creamy filling on the inside. I've had many of their dinner items. Most of them were good or really good, very inexpensive and generous in portion. Some of my suggestions include the sweet and sour chicken, general tso, honey garlic chicken, beef lo-mein, pepper steak, and pad thai. They also make superb soup that would make your mouth water. Covid has ruined this place, ugly giant plastic barrier over the order counter and the AC doesn't work as of this date. This place use to be a lot better like in 2019 but wow it's not good. All meals are forced to have white rice or egg fried rice instead of pork fried rice like before. The rice isn't even fried it just seems like it's soaked in soy sauce. They forgot the sauce with the honey garlic chicken but they'll certainly say it's my fault for not checking. I have no idea why this Chinese place does not have a 5 star rating. I work close by and stopped in one day after Publix and thought I would give it a try and it was fantastic. Food is super fresh, is not drowning in oil, the chicken, beef and shrimp have all been better than any other chinese place in town. Now this was all almost two years ago. Today we order it at home, I have catered several lunches for 40 in our office and everyone gets hooked and asks where we ordered from. Never disappoints. I've been ordering here for years, food is fantastic. If anything is ever wrong or you're not happy they always help you. The chefs special chicken is delicious and the crab ragoon are also great. Their Lo Mein is awesome!!! Portions are great, they are very generous with the chicken wings. The best part is I can walk to publix, home goods, put gas in my car etc while waiting for my order. Mr Changs is the only chinese take out restaurant I will order from anymore, no other establishment in the area even compares in terms of food quality and menu diversity. Based on the menu, I liked the selection and items they offered, reminded me of the menu's back home in NY. We ordered a mixed soup, an egg drop soup, an order of pan fried dumplings, sliced roast pork, Bourbon Chicken and house fried rice. The Bourbon chicken was by far the best item we ordered, I was very happy with it! The sliced roast pork was good but a bit too chewy for my liking. Both soups were on point and very enjoyable. The pan fried dumplings were good but I've had better fillings in them. The rise was good but not great, all in all though, I was pleased with the experience. Awesome home cooked Chinese food. We ordered stir-fried broccoli and tofu in Szechuan sauce, beef and broccoli, and stir-fried vegetables and chicken in garlic sauce. Not the standard garlic sauce ... It had a different name ... Sorry I forgot what it was. I will exit the review next time I go back to tell you. I asked for extra spicy with less sugar, and boy did I get it. Delicious and finger licking good. Really fresh veggies that snapped when bitten into. Awesome meat both chicken and beef. Soft and tasteful. I was an HOUR LATE picking the food up and it was still some of the best chinese I've ever had. It tasted homemade. How do I know? My better half in Chinese :). I'm not sure why these guys have such bad reviews. TALK to the chef guys. He is there and this is HIS LIFE. He will try to make what you want, the way you want it. I've met him, his (I assume wife) and their (I assume) son. All of them are Chinese. I bring this up because Somebody in one of the reviews said there were no Chinese people working there? Not sure what that's all about. The chef is the guy with the long hair (and still very chinese) :-) Last time I was there the sauce was too sweet for me. Food was good; but, I wanted to cut down on sugar. This time I asked for a less sweet sauce (hence the Szechuan sauce) and boy am I happy! It was $29 and it's enough to feed 2 people for 3 to 3.5 meals. That's 7 servings, so it's cost effective too. Check these guys out. Tell them what you want ...
