So, I called in as i've already done the troubleshooting on my dishwasher and determined that the…read moreUI Board is what is bad on my dishwasher. The lady returns my call back and states that they charge a 'diagnostic' fee of $99 plus tax will be $105 for the technician to come out and diagnose what's wrong with the unit. I explained, I don't need a diagnostic as i've already determined what's wrong with the unit, I just want the part replaced by someone else as it's a pain to disassemble the door and reassemble the door. Nope, she says, they have to charge a diagnostic in case they need anything extra. Here's my thoughts. I'm not some idiot that is going to waste your time or your money. I've worked on appliances and hvac units for years but at my age and with how i'm feeling, I don't feel like doing the labor. I get charging a diagnostic for those whom have ZERO clue, but i've already went through the troubleshooting steps. Here, i will outline the basics. 1. Turn off power. 2. Removed the kickplate. 3. Removed the junction box and subsequently checked for power to the unit. 4. My particular dishwasher has a control board. So I checked the pins for power leaving the control board, yep, 14 volts DC on the appropriate pins. 5. Noticed the diode light is stead 'on'. It should be blinking, much like a hard drive light on a desktop computer would do. That's the diagnostic that you folks would do. Nah, i'm not some country bumpkin. I kinda know what i'm doing, I just didn't want to expend the extra time and labor as i'm busy doing other things in my own business. It's ok though, you've pissed me off and i'll just do it my dang self and rest assured, I'll NEVER call you or suggest you to anyone for repairs.

In need of a refrigerator repair this week & I contacted this firm on Monday & gave our model…read morenumber. She declined the part number that I researched & quoted the price as she said their techs carried "most" parts. This was not true. The tech showed up barely within his arrival time on Wednesday with no knowledge of what repair was required; studies a website & tells me he needs to order a part which he can install next week for $272. I declined, paid him $123 trip charge & contacted a more trustworthy tech who came out the next day with the part in hand for $180. Financially I did not come out ahead. However, I identified a great appliance repairman who is affordable, reliable & on time.
