Ice maker on Samsung Refrigerator failed. Terence installed a new Ice maker and left. No Ice production. We called back and Terence needed to order new door senser. He installed senser and left. he analyzed the problem correctly. We finally got Ice, I wish Terence would have explained that it will take 2 days before the Ice maker start working normal. other than that he did a good job. read more

I had to be home the entire day because the appointment was between 8 am and 5 pm. they never showed up. I was contacted the day before to confirm the appointment. Steve was very polite and honest letting us know that he didn't actually know how the whirlpool hybrid dryer worked; however, he did some research and diagnostics and explained how this particular dryer should be operating. Through our conversation I surmised I should use it on time dry going forward for optimal dryness. This dryer is supposed to be a more energy efficient model. Sears wouldn't honor the warranty. Said I sprayed something in the oven and that is why it chipped I did not. Enamel chipped off where racks were. They were porcelain and said they could stay in. It is an expensive induction oven that is 2 years old. I would normally recommend the not buy a warranty on an appliance but I did for this and because it was so expensive. Technician never showed to my house and this would have been his third time here because he can't fix the issue. I got an email receipt and he's never even come to my door. I took two nights off of work to be up all day for an 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. appointment and he's never shown up but yet I get an email that my service call has been closed and I need to call and get another ticket. read more

technician came to diagnose my dryer, said without even opening and checking any parts with meter that I needed new heater coil and would be 500$. I questioned him about how he knew without taking the dryer apart and check various parts with meter and he said because I know, He the. took dryer apart checked meter said heater coil was grounded be 500$. I said no just put it back together. I got home turned the dryer on and heard pop. took dryer back apart and he didn't even put the wires back on heater coil and they burnt a place in the housing when power turned on. I fixed the dryer simply by bending one of the heater coil brackets up about 1/4 inch so no metal to metal contact . now sears don't want to refund my money. highly recommended don't use!!!!!!!! read more

I have to say the gentleman who finally made it out to my home was wonderful, he was thoughtful and saved me a lot of money. There is a very large BUT here. I will never recommend Sears! I called them needing a repair nan on 12/12. They told me he would be here 12/15, he never showed. Rescheduled to 12/22 they went to my last home inPa. I am in SC and told their dispatch 3 times on the phone. I will never buy a Sears Product and in my Pa. home everything was Sears!!! read more

I've repaired my dryer & refrigerator through Sears this past year; they have been quick, friendly and reliable!

My Samsung front loading washing machine was leaking in the front. Two repairmen came from Sears and ran a partial cycle with 2 towels and it didn't leak. He said the machine is probably old and won't work much longer. He said if it needed repaired it probably wouldn't be worth the charge. I paid $89 for the visit. The husband of a friend of mine visited 2 months later and noted that there was a small hole in the seal causing the leak. I sprayed it with flex seal and it is fixed!! It just makes me wonder why a washing g machine repairman couldn't have figured that out!! read more

I wouldn't even give them 1 star! John arrived on time to fix my dishwasher, said it needed 3 parts and gave me the part numbers (not sure why). He went outside to call 2-10 Warranty but after 15 minutes on hold he gave up. He said that 2-10 would order the parts and ship them to us then he would return so I figured when he got back to the office they would notify 2-10. After several hours on the phone with A&E and 2-10, 3 weeks later I had the GE repair man come out. The part is in order and he'll return August 3rd. 1st time using a home warranty which I will cancel when it's all completed. I have to pay GE then hope 2-10 will reimburse us. A&E customer service is a joke - they're rude and don't listen. The tech marked the job complete so nothing was reported. read more

Horrible customer service! Purchased Kenmore Refrigerator that is still under warranty. They are impossible to deal with. No urgency, no care for my inconvenience, spending hours On phone hold then disconnected shortly after conversation starts. Horrible!! Avoid all significant purchases from Sears. ZERO stars is not allowed. UPDATE: 26 days later, still no resolution to my problem. There is absolute NO URGENCY to resolve my issue. No concern for my inconvenience. Horrible, horrible company. No wonder they are in bankruptcy and going out of business. UPDATE: 42 days since the 1st service call, 49 since the refrigerator stopped working. Still no resolution. Hello world. The simple thing is never buy a frig from Sears From Myrtle Beach Grand Strand Mall. I paid $1100.00 for a Frig Kenmore. Kept having issues from week 3 until a year was up. Sears kept sending repair guys to fix & something else went wrong. Each time repair come out it cost $300 before parts to fix. They even put a brand new Ice maker $1000 door on the frig. Still a junker always a junker. Sears,plus customer service, repair men only care about the $ . Nothing else matters for a customer. It only has a star because yelp wouldn't let me post other wise. Call the store direct no one would or could help. Call service people never ever really helped us. Please do yourself a favor never ever buy from Sears. read more

I paid dearly for the Maintenance Repair Contract and trust me, it is not worth it! I went 33 days without a refrigerator and freezer and now the sub contractors Sears hired to fix my dishwasher did not show up for the second time! Going on 30 days now with a broken dishwasher. I am so disgusted with Sears I went to Lowes and bought another dishwasher. I have ALWAYS used Sears appliances but NEVER AGAIN. Waited 2 weeks for appt. scheduled for 9/23 frrom 10 am to 2 pm. On 9/22 I received e mail confirming again my appt for next day. Again at 8:17 a: .m. on the 23rd another confirmation. At 10:17 am my time changed to from 1:06 to 2:36 p.m. By 3 pm I tried to call. Automated. Confirmed my appt for 2-4 pm. Would send text. I do not have cell phone listed. All correspodence by email. Tried about 5 times to call cannot get through to a human. By 5:30 I knew I wasted my time. This is clearly customer disservice. There are no phone numbers to speak with humans, address listed on Stockholder Ave., non existent. Sears closed at Coastal Grand Mall about a yr. ago. Listing still shows appliance repair in that area. Have no idea if it even exists. I have had A&E over the past maybe 15 years. This company should close its doors. read more

We contacted Sears Appliance Repair because we felt the heat sensor in our KitchenAid oven was not working properly. A technician came to our house, checked it out, ordered a new sensor and set a date for installation. He said we would need two technicians to install the sensor because our wall oven had to be pulled out from the wall. On the designated day the two techs arrived. One installed the sensor, the other watched him, the oven remained in place the whole time. It took about 15 minutes and we were charged $260.00 labor for two techs. Sears refuses to refund any of the money they charged us for the second tech. Buyer beware! read more

Service tech was great--after installing a new water assembly system to stop the leaking He realized it was the water filter that Sears sent me--2 of them-that was the problem---I have called their cust service dept twice in the Philippines & each one had a different response--I was suppose to get an email with UPS information to send back the 2 water filters that have been opened--why can't I recycle them here ?--but nothing as of yet--they are suppose to send me a correct water filter but no one can tell me when--it took me three weeks to get my 1st appt which is disgraceful--another 2 weeks to get the assembly which I did not need & now a water filter that technically does not go to my Kenmore Elite refrigerator--their customer service dept needs better training also-- read more

The repairman was nice; replaced the ice maker unit. BUT THE PROBLEM ISN'T SOLVED. Worse yet, when I just now called for a return visit to try, again, to repair the ice problem, I was given an appointment time a MONTH AWAY! When I asked for a sooner date, I was told that wasn't possible. The supervisor I spoke with, John 99939, was unhelpful, extremely rude, and told me to write to corporate if I wasn't happy. I'm NOT HAPPY. What kind of company doesn't follow-up on their repairs and try to get it right. If they don't have enough repairmen to fix their work the solution isn't to yell at customers; it's to hire more people or give out overtime. read more

The worst warranty repair experience we have ever had, and that's saying something. Going on two months with no dishwasher still, after seven (7!) service calls over seven (7!) weeks. On each visit, the tech would promise that this would be their last visit, and the dishwasher would be fixed. Each time, the dishwasher failed after once cycle of use. In all, they replaced every major component of the dishwasher, from pump to computer, and the dishwasher still failed in the same way it had from the beginning. When the techs finally tried to declare the dishwasher "unrepairable" the warranty department pushed back for three weeks. ... Only after repeated calls to all involved, which finally devolved into threats of Social Media complaints, did we get an RA # to replace the dishwasher under warranty. That still has to be done, on our time, then schedule tech to install, etc. No telling how long that will take. I have been shopping at Sears for more than 40 years, and have to say they have lost my trust forever. read more

Purchased a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator in June of 2016. End of July 2017 refrigerator failed. Have had two visits from Sears service and refrigerator is still not working. First repairman was very nice and seemed to be knowledgeable and ordered a part. Second repairman came and installed the part and then left without even checking to see if the refrigerator worked. It didn't, and we could not get another appointment for over a MONTH. That appointment is supposed to be today, but so far no one has showed up. Keeping our fingers crossed. We have now been two months without a refrigerator!! Sears needs to hire more technicians or.............. Will never buy another Sears appliance. Have called the Vice President of Residential Services and the CEO of Sears Holding Company. No response!! Have also called Sears Repair and Customer Care with the same results.
