I told David I needed black out blinds and showed me Zebra blinds which pull down for black out blinds but you can also pull from the top pull to have a transparent privacy shade which lets light in during the day but from the outside people cannot view inside the house. Loved this option. David took all the measurements of all the windows. In a matter of a couple of weeks, he came back and installed all the blinds. I was very happy for the blinds. From the first meeting, measuring and estimate which was done without pressure to purchase to today's installation things were done without pressure total professionalism. When we contacted them, Dave was quick to respond and set up the appointment for an estimate. The day of the scheduled estimate he kept us updated to his arrival and came as scheduled. He explained the process and the various products we could choose from. He had samples for us an explained what options might work best considering our weather conditions etc. He presented us an estimate with no pressure for what we chose. The choice was simple and we signed the contract. He made us aware of the timeline etc which was not as issue. As per Dave's meeting and contract we were contacted about a week before installation and asked if a given day would fit our schedule. The day before the scheduled installation we were texted a reminder. The morning of the installation we were called about 30 minutes before the scheduled time of arrival. They arrived right on time. Wade and his guys (Edgar and Sean) went right to work. They were professional and extremely courteous as well as personable. They wore "booties" and had no problem with our friendly dogs. When they were finished the only thing we had remaining was BEAUTIFUL PLANTATION SHUTTERS!!! Understanding this, my wife and I needed some new window coverings for our living room, dining room and a guest bedroom. We researched until we found five companies that had a large number of high reviews, above 4.8 on a scale of 5. We found all the sales people to be pleasant and their offerings varied, but one stood out above the rest, and that was Window Spaces. A small, local company, Katie, the owner, came for the estimate. After measurements, and spending time understanding what we wanted, she provided several options, with various price points. She was patient, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and seemed focus on matching our wishes with our needs. We indicated we wanted quality products. She gave us a bid that included Hunter Douglas products, a Roman blind for the guest room and draperies from the Hunter Douglas owned drape manufacturer. Of the five bids we received, Katie's bid was both the lowest and had the highest quality products. In fact, we had a bid from a company that deals solely with Hunter Douglas and when I called to let him know we would be going with another company that also offered Hunter Douglas. He asked if I could share the bid. I said it was a couple of thousand less than his bid. He seemed surprised and doubtful, but I assured him the bid was very explicit and Window Spaces listed the specific products, fabrics and manufacturers. Katie told us specifically the time frame for manufacturing, shipping and installation. She sent us confirmation of the orders to the manufacturers and their promised shipment date. Her customer skills are outstanding. She kept us informed and let us know when a part of the order arrived and offered to have it installed sooner than the promised date if we wished. On the day of installation, Hunter arrived first to install the blinds and was followed by Katie. Katie came in and she and Hunter installed the drapery sheers. Then she steamed them making sure they hung just right and picture perfect. There is something reassuring about dealing with a small business owner who obviously enjoys and is committed to the quality of her craftsmanship and serving her customers. For Katie, you are not only a customer, but you are part of the community she lives in, you are a neighbor. When the job was done, we felt we had found a truly exceptional company to handle our future needs, plus we had made a new friend.

But the failures of this vendor begin and end with a lack of communication and service. This has been the single worst experience with a Yelp merchant ever. Don't waste your time. The guy doesn't return calls, doesn't follow up. His word is crap. He installed motors in our shades (that took forever) and when one of the motors burned out after less than a year, came and picked the motor up with a promise to get it replaced by the manufacturer. That was December and the last we heard from him despite numerous follow ups from our end. No excuses. Just a lousy way of doing business.
