Okay, they were absolutely amazing. Francisco and Jon came through, unboxed, and laid out everything they were here to do. They were clean, super friendly and super fast. Francisco and I even connected about some social stuff and he showed me everything about the blinds and answered all my questions. Jon was really nice too, and they together were nothing but a well oiled blind installing machine! They should get raises for sure. I used to use Home Depot as my blinds go to. lately HD has been dropping the ball. So I decided to step out of my comfort zone a try Vineyard Blinds. Randy measured himself and got us a quote within 30 min. The price was right and so were the blinds I was looking for. Ordered the 12th and they came ready to install the 26th. Francisco and Jon were pros. They introduced themselves and went right to work. I want to say they were in and out within 20 min. Before leaving Francisco gave us a demo on how to use the blinds. Had the best shopping experience with Vineyard. They were able to schedule a free in home estimate a few days after I called. Their rep showed up on time. He was professional, patient, and knowledgeable. He offered an extra discount if we made a decision that day so we did and put a down a 50% deposit since we thought their price was very reasonable and cheaper than we estimated. The install appointment was scheduled for the following week. We thought that was pretty fast. The provided a folder with our invoice, a copy of their certificate of insurance, and some other stuff. I was really impressed by that. Very upfront. Install day was smooth. Lucas showed up on time and was very professional and courteous. He was patient with our barking dogs as well and let them sniff him. He installed blinds on 4 windows fairly quickly. You can tell he knows what he's doing. He noticed there was an issue with one of the rods on one of the blinds and said he already ordered the replacement and will install it as soon as it's in. She scheduled to come out within just a couple of days of my initial phone call to give me a free estimate. After she looked at the colors in my room, the sliding door and furniture she asked what I was looking for. Once I explained my needs she immediately opened her books of samples and showed me some options that she recommended. I knew I was free to make other considerations if I wanted, however, the first fabric she showed me I fell in love with. No hard sale, no guilt trips, nothing. She knew her product and my options, which were many, and we made a decision that I am absolutely thrilled with. My second shout out is to Barbara from the office. She is fabulous regarding scheduling and communication. When I had to cancel my initial install date due to conflicting scheduling, it was no problem. Barbara took care of it immediately. He showed up on time, in fact he was a little early, but was fine waiting if I had needed him to. This young man came in and got the blind installed in 10 minutes. He confirmed the height, the level and confirmed that he was installing the correct blind as ordered. He was professional, personable, and efficient. He made sure I had no questions before he left, and that I had signed an initial initialed everything needed. He went over what my warranties were and how many days or years for each part of the service and product provided. I cannot recommend Vineyard Blind & Shutter more sincerely! I have used them for years in several houses & recently recommended them to my mother in law in Encinitas who had them do her whole house after a renovation. She is also super pleased. Terry is very knowledgeable and she is super pleasant. Their service is off the charts good: they have repaired shades for us n/c where it was clearly our fault (as in our cat chewed the cords off our honeycombs!). Am I saying you should call if you have a shade that needs repair and expect it free? No, of course not! But I am saying that, in my experience, if you establish yourself as a "regular" customer, they will go out of their way to take care of you. You will never want to go anywhere else because they surprise you with gifts of generosity with what they will do for you. The above experience with the cat is just one of several experiences I've had where they exceeded my expectations. The quality of their product is very good. A contractor convinced me to let him put up some big box blinds in an area and they are breaking and messed up after just a few years. A waste of money. Overall, I'd go with Vineyard if you want quality that will last, an old fashioned family-run company that makes sure you are satisfied (and then some!), and prices that are competitive without the high pressure that 3-Day & some of the other chains employ..... read more
