We arrived at Mr. Brews taphouse around 7:00 pm. The restaurant is spacious with a choice of sitting at the bar or a table. They were not that busy, although the bar seats were mostly filled and a quite a few tables were empty. We started with an appetizer of white cheddar cheese curds which were slightly crispy and warm, and served with a side of ranch dressing. They were a bit on the saltier side, but were delicious. We also ordered a beer to go with it. My husband chose the Oktoberfest beer and I chose the Great Lakes Porter. We both agreed that the beer was on the verge of being warm. For dinner my husband ordered a cowboy burger and I chose the bacon cheese burger. My husband swapped out the Bourbon BBQ sauce with beer cheese sauce. The burgers came out cooked to perfection, at medium rare, topped with crispy onions and served with their homemade chips. My husband's burger also had jalapenos. The crispy onions were awesome, but do get a tiny bit soft when placed on a warm burger. I only wish it was topped with more crispy onions, as they were delicious! The burgers came with a side of their homemade chips. The chips were crisp and not oily. However, I couldn't taste any seasoning on them, so I thought they were mediocre. Our server at the bar was very nice. She was constantly on the run and works hard. Overall, we had a good experience, and will return again. read more

Good place for a quick bite. Mainly sandwiches, wraps, burgers and some bowls. And of corse, beer! It is Wisconsin after all. Seems to be a small local bar with multiple sites - Monona being one. NOTE: this location does not honor gift cards etc. from other sites. Seems to be a b place people stop by after work. Ordered a cheeseburger which came with a side of chips. Burger was good. Order came up fast. Slot machines available if you feel lucky! read more

Visiting from out of State and this place was across the street from our hotel, so we figured we would go there for dinner/drinks. Walked in and we were immediately seated. Unfortunately, we were seated next to a table of 30 or 40-something year old that clearly had way, way, way too much to drink. This group was very loud and quite obnoxious to say the very least. Slamming fists on the table, yelling, etc with no consideration for anyone else but themselves. We apologized to our server for taking the table for a couple minutes and we walked out. Reminded be of a college drinking bar on nickle beer night. Ugh! read more

Great service from Tati every time! Good trivia every Tuesday night. Wings are good. Beer selection is great! Nice and bright bar with windows all around. Plenty of seating options and plenty of parking. read more

Great place for a couple of beers, a shot and some fried cheese curds. Loved by the locals. Kelsey the bartender was engaging and fun.

This place is great all around! The beer selection here is awesome and I love ordering their Jalapeño Popper Burger which is flavorful and the perfect amount of spice. Their pub grub chips or fries are dangerously delicious! So incredibly good tastings. I highly recommend trying them. They have trivia on Monday's which is always fun. Great place to visit to eat a burger and have a beer while playing some trivia. read more

All places have a vibe. Sometimes, that vibe is what you're looking for. Sometimes, that vibe is not what you're looking for. I stopped in to Mr Brews Taphouse looking for my "end of the day" hangout and after a couple of minutes, decided that this was not the place I wanted. Aside from the lack of power outlets at any of the tables, the music was overly loud and uncomfortable. Yeah, maybe I'm old. But I'm old enough to know that if I'm not happy here, there is probably somewhere else I will be happy. On the positive sides, there is plenty of parking, they have a decent outside patio area and the restroom was clean. [Review 20682 overall - 252 in Wisconsin - 1663 of 2023.] read more

The food here was so good. Excellent Philly cheesesteak and sweet potato fries that melted in my mouth. The Mac and cheese was amazing and their beer list was extensive. Good prices and good service. Definitely recommend! read more

The Kentucky Bourbon Classic Cheeseburger with Cajun chips was delicious! I also thoroughly enjoyed each of the Red Ales and Amber Lagers that they had on tap. The service was excellent and the environment was what you would expect from a family-friendly Taphouse. I will be back! read more

I've been to a few Mr. Brews Taphouses in my day and this one is my least favorite. The food is fine, just like the other locations and I enjoy that the beer menu at this location is slightly different than other ones. However the group of regulars here are often yelling at the bar, obnoxious and kind of disgusting when it comes to their topics of conversation. I wish this was my only experience like that. Also, it's really cool that this location scored 4 different bourbon county stouts but the sign that calls out "No Spillage, No Exceptions" is kind of aggressive and should just be a training conversation with staff as opposed to something a customer should be able to read. It shows that management clearly either doesn't hire quality staff, doesn't trust them or doesn't train them. It's off-putting. read more

We love Mr Brews. The best burgers, beer and service! So sad they closed the one in Monona!

Grossly overpriced. $6 for McUltra. Food was tasteless. I have no idea why people go here.

Walked in ordered a bowl of chili it was on the table in 5 minutes! Piping hot, robust & served with extra fixings on the side. Beers on tap, wow what a great selection with many categories #theyhaveyourbeer! Cool spot sporty, neighborly & friendly! read more

This is a great place to try if you're looking for something new to try on tap! There are tons of different beers & ciders to choose from on tap, as well as a full bar for those that aren't beer lovers. I wasn't exactly sure what to try so I asked our server Allie if I could try a couple samples of their fruity beer to help make my decision. Allie was amazing and she knew her beers! All of the samples I tried were amazing and ended up going with the Dogfish Mango Mandarin Crush - dude I HIGHLY recommend if you like fruity beers!!! It has a lightly sweet, hazy-gold brew with a citrusy tart flavor. Thank you for the recommendations Allie - you rock! read more

Wow! This place is awesome. My husband and I came in late Sunday afternoon to give Mr Brews Tap-house a try after seeing their dog friendly patio sign a few weeks back. I had the Pineapple Hula cider and was pleasantly surprised by how great this tasted! You have to give this a try if you like ciders. Our waiter, Dustin, was absolutely amazing. He was kind, fast, and personable. Best service we have had in a long time. He even brought out ice water for our dog! We got lucky and had the patio to ourselves which made for such a relaxing close to the weekend (or start of the week). The food came out hot and fast and was fantastic. The cheese curds were fresh and delicious and deserve a shoutout. We will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to all of our friends. read more

Delicious burgers, I got the Mr. Brews Peanut Buster, one of the best pairings of condiments/toppings I've had. Mr. Brews special peanut butter, bacon, and Habanero Jack cheese. I also got the cheese curds when I was here, those. I'm unsure if they were undercooked or just a style I wasn't used to, but they had a rubbery, string cheese texture with each bite. read more

Mr. Brews has a wide selection of on tap beers/hard ciders. I love their Peanutbuster Burger too!

The food is actually pretty decent. But if you're visiting from out of town, the service is sure to disappoint. When I first started coming here earlier this year the bar was mainly staffed by a couple of guys who were very attentive to service. Lately it's been a couple of women who primarily tend to the regulars, when they aren't checking their phones. Honestly won't make the mistake of going back again. read more

Passing through on my way to Wisconsin dells and stopped here for lunch. The place is really good, decorated nicely. I like beer! The beer list is constantly changing. This place is right down the road from my work and it makes it easy to pop in after work for a delicious beer or two. Food is burgers, fresh cut fries, fresh cut chips, you can sub chicken breast in place of the burger. I think they have a salad or two on the menu and they just introduced soups. There are some unique burgers on the menu like the Peanut Buster (A MUST TRY) its a peanut butter burger. I mean it sounds horrible but wrong! It's delicious. I am torn between ordering their fresh cut fries or chips. I love pub chips but I feel like they sometimes cook these too long. 4 Stars! I like it! read more

Second Sunday visit to Mr. Brews. A high end dive bar atmosphere with a great selection of taps. Ran out of my first pick. Why don't they xxx out that selection on the electronic board? Bartender on both days was interested in their phone and chatting with a regular. I'd go back though, for the Kentucky bourbon pumpkin ale While they have it. read more

This place delivers exactly what they advertise. Beer, beer and more beer! There Brew selection is obviously going to be over the top. Pretty much any kind of frosty malted libation you could even think of is in their menu. The only reason they are not getting five stars is their menu selection is extremely limited. Pretty much just burgers and fries and a couple other options. Completely understand their focus is on the beer, but you need to be able to have enough of a selection of food to tide people over otherwise they get too drunk too fast. Small word of guidance: The atmosphere in this Place is loud and energetic and uplifting and boisterous. Be aware of that before going. If you don't like noisy places, this is not the place for you. If you enjoy a high-energy, you will love this place read more

Limited variety on the menu and general more of a pub/bar feel than a restaurant so probably not ideal for small children. We had a very friendly and helpful waitress. She recommended the pulled pork sandwich which hubby had. Besides the pulled pork and one salad, everything else is burgers. I didn't notice immediately but you can substitute a chicken or bean patty on the sandwiches so that increases the options. I opted for chicken on my Kentucky Bourbon sandwich. It was okay -- a standard chicken patty with bacon, cheese, onion and bbq sauce. Kind of messy, I should have requested a fork. Hubby wasn't thrilled with his pulled pork sandwich saying it was a bit fattier than he preferred and it was more chunks than pulled pork strings so the whole thing didn't hold together well for him. Also sandwiches don't include a side though they seemed priced like a "basket meal". We weren't too excited about fries or chips so we got the cheese curd appetizer to share. At $6.50 it seemed like a small portion, but I suppose that kept us honest about our caloric intake. I don't see us rushing back here anytime soon though nothing really would prevent us from going if it was something that would work for us in the moment. read more

Nobody is ever there -very quiet. Food is average. Servers are either really good or horrible. My first visit to Mr Brews and it was just ok. The place is wide and open and doesn't feel that cozy. When I sat down service was quick with 2 samples and my beverage. I asked for a menu and it took the bar tender a few mins to find one. The menu is very limited with just burgers. I then sat there for 15 minutes with the menu in a position like I was about to order and nothing.
