They even transferred all my data to a brand new and more robust drive that I sent over to them via next day Prime shipping on Amazon. The prices were reasonable considering the turn around time and the amount of data (nearly 1TB). I'm super glad that small, independent shops like this are still around! Look anywhere online and you'll see there are only a few official repair businesses in Queens and on Long Island and they have really bad ratings. I did call one but was told it would be sometime the following week before they could come. (Again, I was already nervous from their reviews.) I said I'd get back to them and surfed around for TV repair, Samsung, Long Island and came up with Andrew & Son. They didn't have a LOT of ratings but they were all positive so I gave them a try. VERY glad I did. I called them late afternoon and was told a repair person could come that same day. Fantastic! Derek showed up as promised. He was driving a clean, professional vehicle that almost looked like a repair shop on wheels. He came in and went straight to work. He asked appropriate questions, tested and tried a number of options. He was fast, efficient, and really seemed to know his way around the inside of the TV. Turned out that the screen was bad and Samsung doesn't make this model screen anymore (after only 4 years). Derek got everything put back together, no mess, no fuss. I didn't have to do a thing. He told me what I could try to find a used screen but mine was kaput. The final cost was reasonable; I paid with my credit card and the receipt was detailed. If you need your TV or electronic whatever repaired or diagnosed, call these guys. Derek was great. The TV was shot but he could have strung me along and kept me hanging and charged me for anything. If a repair company/person isn't honest then it is a nightmare. But Derek, and Andrew & Son I'll assume, was honest, professional and everything that it looks like the other guys aren't.

FULLY DISAGREE with all negative reviews!…read more I called yesterday for dishwasher repair quote/service call. First got voicemail. Then he called me back within 15 minutes. We spoke about the scope of work. He told me his price. I mentioned to him that while this isn't an emergency repair call I did happen to have off work the very next day and asked if he could accommodate. He said sure no problem but I would have to be second stop and estimated arrival time ge stated was between 11am-12pm. I said great, thank you so much and appointment was booked. Day of service he got here ten minutes early at 10:50am. He assesses situation but said he didn't have the right size clamp to finish right now. I asked him to let me check if I happened to have it but of course of all the random parts and hardware I have collected over the years I didnt have it. He said he would then have to go to his 3rd stop, head back to shop to get clamp and then back to me stating he would be back around 2pm. Since I happened to read these negative yelp reviews after I booked him and before he arrived, I asked him outright to be honest and tell me before he left if he truly was going to be able make it back and he gave me his word. Which was acceptable to me because there are always two sides to every story / negative customer reviews and the second side of those is always unknown because the negative customer never let's anyone know their part in all of it!! Yet again, Marcin was on his way earlier than initially anticipated and came back to my house around 1:30pm to finish the work. He nailed the repair in 20 minutes and was out my door right around 2pm. I even asked him to assess our washer and dryer and he told me straight up that for us to pay him to repair then wouldn't be cost effective to us like a true honest professional should treat his customers!
