    Do NOT hire Dave. I would give him 0 stars if I could. I'm elderly and he took advantage of that. Pictures below show how he does his work. I wish I would of looked him up first. So many bad reviews. All the 5* ones are from his friends and family. He installed cable wires, photos attached to show his work. Awful. Wires all over. Nothing put in the wall. All left out exposed and ran up and down my wall over to other outlets instead of in the wall. Worst job ever. Do NOT HIRE THIS GUY DAVE TO DO YOUR CABLE WIRES YOU WILL BE SO SORRY. I reported him to the BBB and I'm getting an attorney.

    Outstanding service. Super nice guy. He hung our outdoor tv perfectly and walked me through the entire process.

First, they have various contact numbers that claim they are unable to assist and assert you have to call the other line. None of them allow you to cancel or give you any assurance that your account is closed. I lost service in December on a switch over to 5G and phone number changed (when they told me it wouldn't), then my account got suspended for failure to pay - no cable, no internet, no phone. And they still bllled be each month adding onto charges and i them called to cancel in Feb and I returned all equipment. And they still billed me for monthly service after all the months of no service/suspensions and now clear post cancelation. I called multiple times - billing, service, retention, etc When I punched in my account number it asserts my account is still operational and they keep billing me which is absurd. One department says I canceled and then billing has no power to credit or close out and says I am suspended and keeps adding charges even though I am receiving no services now and they can't tell me how to resolve. It is extortion. I am trying to work through the NYS Public Service Commission complaint department for these fraudulent practices which I believe also prey on the elderly. Saying you always call wrong line and then hanging up on you is complete run around.

I was told by John that they were out of stock And weren't getting anymore Optimum boxes until Wednesday 10/4. Really ??? What's wrong with this picture. This Optimum store covers a portion of the populated North Shore and the store is out of stock on a basic cable necessity . A second problem was why my Apple box was freezing up & stopping. John told me it might be a slow speed. Did I know what my speed was?? No idea said I.john asked me how many pcs, tvs, laptops, etc. did I have? Phones, iPads, cell phones, laptops, etc, the answer was MANY!!! This was one of the first time technical person analyzed my speed. And what's troublesome is I'be been an Optimum customer for over 40 years. John and Walter analyzed my situation, Told me my speed was only 300, describing It as a 3 lane highway. They wanted to upgrade me to 1 "Gig". I understood it would be like adding an HOV lane. The upgrade added some extra bucks to your bill but I said YES. I brought the Apple box home and it now works like a charm. Thank you John & Walter. I wonder how many people work remotely from home and have asked their cable provider about their speed or how many times have the techs asked them??? I rate the Optimum Company a 2 for their lack of stock in their stores and for not training their field techs to investigate a customer's "need for speed" to quote Maverick (Tom Cruise).

Policies do not allow shifts, and I am paying a whole month of overpriced, unreliable service for 8 days to be able to work from home before I move out. Use Verizon, starlink, Tmobile; I don't know just not optimum - they may similar policies but at least their services are better you don't lose internet or tv consistently. If cancelling wasn't a process in itself I would've done so long ago. On top of this - they have their hardworking staff pitch new services after outlining how wild their policies are. I started laughing. "our policies are horrible, our services are horrible, you are clearly unhappy and I can't do anything about it - but hey, are you interested in our $25/mo. Cell phone plan???" I cackled. Maybe the comedic relief gets people to bite. Overpriced, bad policy, not customer first at all, I would rather craft an antenna and use RF frequencies I pick up from my microwave before ever considering them again. Simply do better optimum corporate. After paying $11,000 over 5+ years for subpar services you just lost a customer for life over $120 because a policy would not allow to pro-rate a service that will likely be unavailable for 4 of the 8 days anyway
