Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

While I was waiting for the technician to arrive, I fiddled with the settings and ended up resolving the issue on my own. What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. Total Security was the 4th company we talked to, for a quote on adding cameras to an existing system at a commercial building. They were the best by far - the others recommended entire new systems but Total Security could just upgrade the box, keep the existing cameras add 3 more ~ all for less than the competitors trying to charge more for entire new systems. The new box increased the image quality of the existing cameras so it is like a whole new system. The app interface is so much better than what we had - the whole thing is a huge improvement. And they offer lifetime tech support which is a great bonus! Working with Total Security was great, too. The salesman from the NJ office, Tom, was professional, personable, made the effort to consult with his team because our building had some tricky aspects to it. They called for appointment reminders the day before. Tom called a week after it was installed to make sure everything was going well. The installation team came from NY (Sean & Scott) and they "went the extra mile" - willing to work in a crawl space, working patiently around & through occupied offices, making sure everything was done as best, clean and effective as possible.
