I have been an Audio Den customer since the mid 70's. This is the only place that I trust to buy Audio, TV, and Home Theatre Systems. The advice is right on. Where else can you find the Owner telling you not to buy a new piece of gear? Their installation is amazing, neat and clean. They set it up and explain (sometimes in too much detail) how everything works and clean up after themselves.They do not leave until you are satisfied. Over the last 20 years I have purchased a fair amount of Audio video equipment from these folks, and although they are always a bit aloof, superior intellect and all but they have some great products. That being said went in the other day to get some advice on the $20000 system that I had put toghether over the years. I was told I can not hook up my Lexicon DC-2 to the new Blue ray player my wife purchase for me at price club. I was told because the HDMI wont match up. I said well there is an audio out (left and right, a video out, component jack and a optical out.) I was then shown a new Marantz unit with a $1700 price tag and another one for 3500 and was told to not expect it sound as accurate or good as my 12 year old Lexicon????? I went home dug into the manuel (very technical) piece and hooked up through cd ports with audio out and optical cable. BAM perfect sound. This salesperson claims to be a Kung fu martial artist, as a past practicing instructor this guy is nothing more than a rip off who gives good honest sales people a bad name... as far as a martial artist he is nothing more than a fat little pip squeek. Things must be bad at audio den, I figured I would buy some cables and get it hooked up. They will never see me in there store again. As far as the lexicon you can get them on line for a fraction of the original price and have unbeliveable sound. look on ebay. read more
