It all starts with the service. Juan is the man is customer service skills is outstanding. It was so nice polite and helpful. We rented two speakers and a woofer and he gave us the greatest price. It was unreal if you're having a party and you need something or if you wanna buy something for your house a yard this is the place to go the place to be trust me axel lawn and he will get you anything and everything you need strobe lights for fog machines speakers to DJ equipment and someone the selection and the prices are unbeatable before you look anywhere go here first and ask you won't be disappointed. Dont even think about spending your hard earned money with these crooks! The staff pretends to be nice and friendly just to make a sale and once they have your money you can basically pound sand. The crotchety old guy with the glasses who hides in the office all day clearly hates his life and job and the customers have put up with his crabby attitude, he talks down condescendingly like you're some kind of idiot if you dare have more than a question or two. Spent many thousands of dollars in this place but once they have your money they dont care. God forbid you need to make a return on an unopened product and you end up stuck with a store credit you cant even use in the online store. Then when you have a problem with that they treat you like a piece of garbage and try to embarrass you in front of the other customers. Stick with Amazon, BH, Adorama, Sweetwater, GC, literally any other reputable company and don't bother with these con artists. Theres a reason their other store went out of business and wont be long before the entire operation goes under with how they use these predatory business practices against their customers. If i could give ZERO stars i would, at this point theres no way to fix this so don't bother with the fake reach out because i left a bad review, if i can save even one other person from dealing with these crooks then I've done my part. I am a fairly new DJ and customer of IDJ Now. Every time I go there they provide the highest level of customer service. Just when you think it wasn't possible for them to get even better, well that happened today. I went to the West Babylon location and was greeted by Mark Verni and Rony Zavala to discuss an issue with a mixer I purchased elsewhere. Instead of them trying to sell me a new one from their store they asked if they can test my device. Lo and behold it was working correctly, just not set up properly. Anywhere else I would have been pressed to spend money that wasn't warranted. These two gentlemen took the time to assist and explain what I need to do moving forward in order to excel in my venture of DJ'ing. A true testament to what real customer service is all about. They always put the customer first. You have a customer for life. As I grow in my business, I will only purchase any and all of my equipment here because of the way your staff consistently goes above and beyond!!! read more

I have been an active and faithful customer of IDJNOW for over 20 years now. The key that keeps bringing me back for every purchase is the amazing customer service and customer experience that they provide. I usually like to visit the store (Babylon) directly since it's close and convenient for my purchases, since visiting their showroom allows me to actively use all of the equipment (controllers, speakers, lighting, and more...) definitely helps in the selection process, however more importantly, the staff 'gets it' and each of them knows about the products in the store in extreme detail and can (and have) made recommendations where I wasn't sure which direction to go. I also have purchased items from their website when I can't get to the store, and working with Justin and his team has been amazing. Whether it's chatting with them over the website or over Facebook, they have provided the same 'virtual' service that I would experience within the store. I can't say enough about IDJNOW. Their prices meet or beat their competition, however no one can compare to them on service. You will find that they are the absolute best! read more

Staff was friendly, helpful, and knew their equipment. I went to them because I wanted to support local business rather than Amazon. As a musician, I needed a couple of small colored lights for when I play out. The the two lights I got seemed good, but when I got them home and tried them out with my rig, there was much more white light than color, so I went back the next day to exhange or return. The only other options were much more expensive, so I decided to return them. The staff tells me returns are for store credit only. It's the owner's policy. But they have dj stuff, and I'm a musician, so there's not much I need from that store. Now, policies are a way of setting procedures, limits, and making sure an organization won't get taken advantage of. Policies are not federal law and can be broken if and when it makes good business sense to do so. I can understand if someone buys $10K worth of equipment, uses it for a weekend, returns it, and repeats the next weekend, yeah. But I bought a couple of inexpensive lights that didn't do what I wanted. My bad. But apparently, no one present was able to break this policy and stop a customer from running to Amazon. Have you checked Amazon's return policy? So now my money is being held hostage until I can think of something I want from them. And, if I can't think of anything, they will keep my money after two years. Great. I have been shopping at IDJnow for awhile. With over 25 purchases over the years, i have had zero problems. Even when covid had me sit my defective Entour Ice in my storage unit for about a year. Once machines were back in stock and we started opening, they took care of everything and got me a new unit. I ordered a sound SOUNDPACK120 package of amplifier and speakers for $275. I was counting the days until my order arrived. When it finally did, it was the amplifier with no speakers. They hadn't told me when I placed my order that the speakers were on "back order." When the speakers did arrive, I noticed that one of the speakers was not screwed into the speaker cabinet correctly. There were loose screws inside and outside the speaker cabinet. I had to track them down and screw them in myself. There was also saw dust inside and outside the cabinet. It appeared that one of the screws had broken off. If you are thinking of ordering from I DJ Now, DON'T DO IT. read more

I rented the fog machine for my wedding and it did not work. The day we went to the store to pay for the rental to secure the date another customer and said that they rented the fog machine and it did not work. The sales person that was assisting us said that maybe the customer did not use it correctly and that they will check the machine before renting it to us the day of the wedding. We picked up the fog machine a month later assuming that the machine was running good.. We followed all instructions that was given for the machine and when it was time to use it for our first dance the machine did not work at all. I was furious because they reassured us that the machine was working good and we were not able to use the machine at all. It was a waste of money and time. Don't ever rent their fog machine and make sure you test all their equipments before leaving their store. read more

Very happy to have discovered this store. I am building out a small home recording studio, I needed some speakers/monitors. I met Eric, who was patient with advice, playing samples on a few monitors and explained the advantages of the ones I ultimately selected, over the ones I had originally gone in for. While I don't DJ, it is clear they carry a terrific range of gear and have the expertise to make sure you purchase what you need. Made an online order and received a telephone call from a real actual live person letting me know the items I had ordered were back-ordered, and would take about an extra week to deliver. They were kind enough to apologize and offered me alternatives if I needed my product sooner. While I stuck with my original order, it ended up shipping within 2 days of my order anyway. I received my package in good condition (though, the fog juice had come open in transit and ruined the fog machine box, everything else was in working order and this appeared to be a manufacturer issue, not an issue with IDJNOW). Very happy with the price of the product, the speed of the shipping, and the condition of the items I received. Extremely happy with the customer service. Not only did he make me feel like the most important customer that day, he went out of his way to FIND the item and within a few days, I was able to pick it up. Very impressive indeed.
