This place Moyas bakery is run by management that can't wait to go home, I got here at 4:51 pm and everything is closed even tho their business hours say closing time Saturday 5pm. I Don't give my business to places like these. The economy is shot as it is, and a small business owner like mayos bakery rather go home early and lose business and first time costumers. read more

This is a small family owned bakery. This location is small and simply unassuming , but my review is based on their Guava and cheese pie. They are full of delicious flavor. Each one is good for about 5 people unless you're going for seconds and people often do- they are scrumptious and exquisite ! I usually call in the morning before I head to work so they can have them packed and ready to go by the time I get there. The owner is very helpful. My coworkers love when I bring this to the office! read more

Disappointed. Poor quality. This place used to be delicious. It used to be CLEAN. They used to have the best bread pudding ever. I grew up with Moyas. Not the same owners, they died over 30 years ago. These owners may have been taught but it's not the same, it's almost like the cut corners, re-use or use old ingredients. They no longer do things the right way it's sad. But hey if people like them then go for it. read more

Had a craving for pastries late at night so of course I went on yelp looking for a good place to try out the following morning. Came upon this bakery and all the reviews seemed really positive, so I gave it a go. I'm so glad I did. I purchased the rueda de guayaba y queso, a date bar and a couple of pastelitos de carne. Everything was delightful! It didn't surprise me that I would enjoy the rueda since I read so many great reviews about it, which I can attest are true. The rueda was perfectly baked with a good amount of cheese and guava. Didn't know what to expect from the date bar, just picked it because I love dates, and found a winner. So good! It was more like a cookie, crumbly and delicious! The pastelitos de carne were also really good. They weren't greasy and the meat tasted fresh. I'm looking forward to trying all of these things again and new items as well. read more

This review is based solely on the rueda de guayaba y queso. Truly, truly, truly one of the best Cuban pastries I've had. Leagues beyond Porto's, Tropicana, Nuevo Mundo, and would do well even against Cuban bakeries in Miami... The place is very, very old and sell other Cuban and Mexican pastries. Moya's Bakery is a small and I mean small bakery. I remember coming in as a little boy 30 years ago. You can order a birthday, sweet 16, or wedding cake at a fraction of the cost of most bake shops. I personally visit for the typical Cuban pastries. "Pastelitos de Guayaba" and "Pastelitos de Guayaba con Queso" and of course "Los Pastelitos de carne" - Meat pies to the taste test against any and I mean any bakery. I you know who I'm talking about..... If you want to to have some appetizers or treat your staff or client i suggest you bring them some Moya Bakery. This is a hidden gem full of yummy & fresh bake goods and unique cakes ready to go. They have great service- very helpful. The BEST part their prices are reasonable . Pastelitos better than Portos!!! They are filled with yummyness and they aren't all airy pastry bread where it makes a mess and falls apart. You actually get a nice chunk of guava and cheese. This little bakery has been here for years and my grandparents being Cuban living in Maywood stay coming to this bakery. Their pastelitos are made fresh everyday and what's even better.... I can't complain about customer service, they are very attentive and very polite. It's a small bakery, but with tons of teats. I order a 1/2 sheet cake, with natural fruit, which was very affordable than other places ($38). I do have to say that the cake wasn't great, it needed a little more moisture, and flavoring. read more
