This is the first time I have been to the Moxies in Orleans, and it was a nice change. I usually go to the one at Gloucester, which I feel is more "family friendly," where as the Orleans one had more club vibes on a Friday night. They have a lounge side and a dinning side, both decorated very modern. Lights were dimmed at 5:30 which set the vibe. Think Kanata Moxies vibes... Service was friendly. The only thing intimidating was being greeted by 5 hostess's standing at the entrance when you walk in. Our waitress was very sweet and constantly checked up on our table. My girlfriend and I stayed for about 3 hours knocking back drinks and dinner. We never felt rushed. I ordered the vegetarian mushroom burger and fries. It's the only vegetarian burger on the menu, and it was actually very good. It beats their old soy burger that they used to have on the menu! By 8pm, the restaurant was packed on the lounge side, with the bar seats filled up. Dinning room side was pretty bare. I've been to this location many times and I have had issues in the past with certain items on the menu. I'll say that I love moxies. The staff is great, the drinks are wonderful which is what keeps me and my friends coming back. The menu needs work, or the chef. Because last night I got their sirloin that they offer and it was way too salty and all fat to be edible. I didn't want to complain or send it back so my boyfriend ate it on my behalf. After an hour long wait to be seated on the patio(I understand covid regulations so this isn't something to complain about) it would have been nice to enjoy an actual nice meal instead of having to stop elsewhere on the way home to get something to eat. I'll still comeback to this location and recommend it but just keep in mind some of the menu needs to be revised. Also my recommendation is to definitely get their mojito & the donuts they offer. read more

What a perfect restaurant to pick for a Covid Birthday dinner!! Cannot praise the staff (Shawn and the team) who found a solution for ordering from afar to deliver a family dinner for a new way to celebrate. Not only was there lots of praise for a tasty dinner (steak frites, lemon salmon, Caesar salad and garlic shrimp) but it arrived hot and so nicely presented! This was our first time here and we tried 2 appetizers, 2 sandwiches and a dessert. The calamari and sushi cones were great and barely a crumb was left on the plate. I had the Beef Dip sandwich and it was exactly what I wanted. My fiancee had the Chicken Parm sandwich and kept telling me that her sandwich was better than mine. For dessert we had the english toffee cake and seriously if I had know this existed, there is a very good chance that would have been the only thing I ate today. The only thing that took quite a bit of time was getting our bill. However, although the atmosphere is more fancy, the food isn't anything special. Just had a fantastic meal here . Kudos to the chef for a great salmon dish . The ambiance was pleasant and the place was very clean . It's nice to have a high end restaurant in Orleans but if you want to eat fancy, I recommend you just take a 15 minute drive downtown and eat there. Lots more choices and things to see downtown. I like Moxie's for the style and ambience. I like the special price drink nights. However, the food (isn't that why we go to a restaurant?) is not great. The cuts of steak are tough. The menu is getting old--I live in Orleans and go to Moxies regularly--I don't want the same thing all the time. The appetizers are limited. The deserts are not unique enough. The white chocolate brownie is the only thing that I would have and it is often dry and overcooked. Can you add some other deserts like cheesecake? or something else rich and outside of the box? Something decadent but low calorie? This is an expensive restaurant--I feel like I should be getting higher quality food, with more innovation. The parking lot issue should be addressed though--clear away the snow and ask Lowe's to keep their deliveries away from the restaurant. Hardly represents a higher end appeal. My husband took me there for our anniversay. It was great!. The ambience was romantic, it was not full to capacity only a few empty table but it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The food was heavenly, I thought I have had tasty chicken dishes until that night. The staff was sooo friendly. Dessert was a few extra calories but to die for. I have been several times. Greeters were friendly, staff on bar side not so much, the restaurant side is really good. The usual attractive female staff members that Moxies is known for are here too. Not unfriendly, just a little indifferent. But the food, OMG, I'm hooked on the tuna appetizer and the full rack of lamb was out of this world, nice to see more cosmopolitan businesses with ambience entering the mundane, boring suburb of Orleans. Went on a busy Saturday night to Moxies in Bayshore Shopping Mall. Ordered chicken and ribs; received the ribs, but not the chicken. I mentioned it and the order was placed immediately, the manager on duty came, apologized, came back to tell me how long it would take for the chicken to arrive, and cut the price by 50%, all of which without being prompted in any way. This is more than what you would expect, and much more than you usually get, in most restaurants, when such a (minor) mixup occurs. And, BTW, my food was very good and hot, and my wife's maple salmon was nice and tasty. Kudos! That's how you get people to come back! And we will, again. read more

I went here with my family for a birthday and had a decent experience. Moxies atmosphere is very pleasant and intimate but the quality of the food is lacking. Despite their reassurance that your food is in good hands (in the case of any allergies), my fiancée happen to get sick from the chicken she had. For cocktail I ordered a sidecar, but after googling it ( as they did not know what this was) apparently they don't have the ingredients (presumingly brandy?) . settled for Caesar which was bland with no seasoning. Tuna starter was very unappetizing which I blame more on recipe (poach instead of sear) than this specific location. The Santorini salad was only OK, but they forgot cucumber. Overall, I expected the high prices, but expected a better menu in exchange. The decor does not make up for it. read more

I love Moxies... the ambiance and vibe are great for a place to have a drink at night with friends. I frequent Moxies wherever I am... but the one on Innes road is special. I have been there several times and sat without service for 20 minutes. I have been told by staff when asking about wine "well it's all there on the menu, why don't you just read that and I will be back" and walking right off... having raised issues with management on more than one occasion, nothing was done, and the behavior appears to be tolerated and supported. LOTS of attitude from the servers, so I have stopped going there. I now read lots of FB posts from people who have experienced the same type of service... as though being there is some form of privilege. Drinks were served late, food was served late, and raising the issue seemed to make it worse. This location is a service disappointment... too bad, it was one of my favorite places in Orleans. I hope management is up to the task of turning this around so I can go back someday and have a drink without worrying whether I upset any servers. read more
