This is my first 5-star rating. As everything had been booked via email, I was concerned there would be a no show on the day. However, I received a confirmation email of my move several days prior to the move and a telephone call 48 hours ahead of the actual move. OK, game on! The Movegreen team (Sebastian, Jose, and Zacaria) arrived just after 8:00 am. The move was reviewed, I signed off and away to work they went. The team worked hard and fast, taking care of not to damage our furniture or property. They worked non-stop for three hours until we insisted they stop and take a water break and snack. Upon arrival at the new property, they quickly unloaded, asking where would you like this, where does this go. Again working non-stop. Once finished they stopped the clock, I signed off on the price and instantly had a receipt emailed to me. We were quite surprised at how quickly everything was done. A great trio of guys! As we had boxed almost all the small items, the clothes and furniture were estimated to cost $1350 for the move. It ended up being $817. The tip was cash. I have no regrets using Movegreen and we highly recommend them. read more

The guys physically doing my move were great. They were on-time, and did a good job with the move. Regarding the office - not very responsive to my e-mails, including my initial move request and details about charges. I had to call them to get answers to what additional charges there would be (e.g. additional gas, double drive time). I have moved a lot in the past 10 years so I am very aware of typical additional charges companies may include. After asking the very specific question of double drive time, I was told that it would be a straight $120/hr, no additional drive time charges since this was considered a local move. Come time to pay after the move, I am hit with double drive time. I called the office and they said they charge double drive time on all drives and that they would never say elsewise. The drivers were apologetic about it, but there was little that they could do about it. Bottomline - I was happy with the guys doing the work, but I feel deceived by the office. Understanding that most companies have a gas or double drive time fee, that is fine, but it is not okay to mislead or lie about fees. I would like to use gogreen again in the future and to recommend them to friends, but I am not sure if I could. The movers were good, so if you do use them, make sure you insist on getting all details in writing/e-mail prior to committing, and not go off trust on a verbal. read more

Super happy I found this company. Aaron and Alex in the main office accommodated several delays from our moving pod company and Victor and Ramiro were beasts. We were surprised they were able to take care of a 4BR move in less than 3 hours. We had some really heavy furniture and they handled it with ease - and even put carpets on our wood floors and blankets on our stairwells to avoid damaging anything. Great hire. read more

I used this company after finding them on Yelp. I was very pleased with the estimator Matt who was always responsive to my questions and listened well to what I needed with my move. On moving day there was a mishap and the company did not arrive when they said they would for my half-day job. They did another job first. I called Matt and then other people at the company called me to work things out. It was bumpy for a few hours but they worked things out to my satisfaction and I will use them again. In the end they gave me a discount and sent a much larger group of movers so the job got done before dark. This is exactly how a professional business should handle problems. The movers arrived within the expected timeframe. There were two of them, and I only had one room to move from Glendale to Long Beach and paid for a 3-hour Groupon. Everything was already packed up upon arrival and all they had to do was load the items on the truck, drive to Long Beach, and unload at the new place. I will say they didn't move extra fast to not go over the time, but they moved at a reasonable pace. So if you are going to be close on the time you paid for, pay for extra because they're not going to move fast. Also, the only real negative is that they charge you time to return to the point of origin, even after they have unloaded your stuff, which to me seems a little unfair. Very unprofessional and rude man who I spoke with on the phone. I filled out the online quote request and no one got back to me. I then called and spoke with this very uninterested guy. After 10 min of talking he then tells me the date I want is not possible and then hangs up on me! If he would have bothered to do his job and look at my request he could have told me much sooner that my date was not available. We picked this company because of the great reviews and were extremely disappointed. We moved from east Ventura to west Ventura. They left several things we had asked them to pack at the old house and we had to make them go back for it. They damaged a few furniture pieces and broke a chink off our day bed. They put most of the boxes in the living room and told us to put them in the rooms ourselves. Also left trash at both the old and new house. Unprofessional and irresponsible.
