I had a great experience using All American Trucking & Transport. I called a week before I needed to have my car shipped to get a quote. The sales rep was very professional and told me about my options. I was nervous because I just bought my car last year and hardly let anyone drive it, let alone give it to some stranger to take it across the country, lol. I chose to drop my car off the day before my move and they provided a complimentary shuttle to the Bart station. After the inspection they told me my car would be loaded in the next 2 days and gave me Marge's (works at the company) contact information and said I could call her for an update on my vehicle. About 4 days after my car shipped out I called Marge. She sent me a text within the next hour providing me with information about my car. I followed up a few days later just to make sure my car woukd come the day they said it would and Marge confirmed the date again. The day my vehicle was scheduled to arrive the driver notified me in the morning he would drop off my car that evening. I was able to pick up 2 blocks away from my house (my street is too narrow for a big rig to fit). Although the car was dusty (which is expected after traveling all the way from California to Virginia) there was no damage to the car. The next day I took it to the car wash to inspect it again and sure enough it was absolutely fine. I would definitely recommend this company for a long distance or short move. To echo other commenters, DO NOT use All American Auto Transport. I recently moved from SF to NYC. I shopped around for auto shippers, all of whose estimates were basically the same. On the recommendation of two different moving companies (I shouldnt have trusted them to begin with, but....), I contacted All American and their estimate came in about $200-300 more than the others. However, since their services came highly recommended, I went with them. My contact with them prior to the move was minimal. I spoke to a nice woman who gave me the estimate, then another one who sent me all the paperwork to sign. I put down the destination as my new home in Brooklyn. I sent back the paperwork, never heard another word from them. Dropped off the car, their shuttle took me to SFO for my flight to New York. The car was supposed to arrive 10 days later. Sounds almost impossibly easy and simple, right? Well, a week later I get a call from the guy who was driving the truck with my car on it--not someone from All American, but some sub-contractor who owns his own truck and who was paid by All American to transport my car. None of their paperwork EVER stated this would be the case. As far as I knew, their employee was going to take my car directly to my front door in Brooklyn. So why on earth was I negotiating with some random person who I never heard of before? The conversation, which was ugly went like this: Him: "I can't drive into Brooklyn, so you'll have to meet me at a rest stop on the NJ Turnpike next Tuesday." Me: [assorted screaming and yelling and general flipping out] After several days of arguing and complaining and screaming matches with the truck driver, my car was dropped off... in New Jersey. In the midst of this very frustrating process, I learned a few things that anyone who is shipping an automobile should know: -- auto transport trucks have major limitations as to where they can go. For example, trailer trucks can't drive into New York City, nor could they even drive to a residential street in suburban New Jersey. Ask your company what their limitations are ahead of time. -- one of the utterly unhelpful minions at All American told me that the company had a choice of trucks they could have sent my car on, including large trailers which couldnt get to my home, or smaller transport vehicles that carried as few as two vehicles which could have easily reached my home address. So, this begs the question, why didnt they send it on a truck that COULD reach my destination address? Funny.... they didnt have an answer for me. -- these companies use sub-contractors, truck drivers who own their own truck and basically get paid a fee to take your vehicle on their truck. Once your vehicle is on their truck, you are at their mercy. I spent a week or two having frustrated conversations with them, expecting that I would receive a discount since they completely failed to do the job I contracted them for. Hi Justin, Attached is the email that your representative sent me saying that I could pick up my vehicle anytime over the weekend (ie: during after hours). So I am not sure how this was not a "predetermined arrangement". And I am not sure how making me wait for almost an extra hour after I had taken public transport to get to the facility (based on the expectation that my car would be ready for pickup- per the email) made my day easier. I only took my car out of the facility that day because I had to be places and did not have any way of transportation to get there. What inspection report are you referring to? "at the time of pickup" is ambiguous. Do you mean the inspection report that was left in my car at the time of pickup in Burlingame, CA? Or do you mean the inspection report that was given to me when my car was first picked up in IL. Because I had emailed you both of these documents showing that there was a discrepancy between the two documents- exactly in the place where the scratches in my car were. Buyer be aware! Interesting that this company gets either 1-star or 5-star reviews. Seems they get it right or wrong, so its up to you. I was an unhappy customer because of delays and poor customer service. The move didn't go right, and during the process their service rep was "nice" but ineffective. Now, after posting a review, their GM reached out and was very very eager to take responsibility and try to make it right. If only this level of attentiveness had been applied when problems first surfaced! He was honest and offered a discount, and I have updated this review and my rating. I would recommend that customers read the reviews to see what All American does right, and what they get wrong, so that you can be prepared. And if needed, escalate to the the top - evidently management does get it. For the sake if history, here is my experience. Shipped my car from CA to NJ. After 8 days they called to say delivery tomorrow, 1 day early. Then called back to say OOPS, car is still in the lot in CA, will be leaving tomorrow. Short story: car got to NJ just 1 day outside their 14-day paperwork. Therefore they quoted the small print and took minimal measures to make me happy. And... their drop off driver got the address wrong, and then was pissed at me he had to drive to the correct address, and then dropped off the car up the street at the corner -not in front of the house. I was super pro-active with them throughout the process: from shipping dates to addresses. But it failed to go smoothly. Even though in an e-mail they admitted it was their error, the approach to customer service was back up the company, stall and 'glad hand' the customer. Real customer service = taking care of problems. They did not, until their GM got involved after reading the review. Thanks Justin. Hopefully a learning experience, as his comment shows. I have most recently moved from Sacramento, CA to Richmond, VA and was not looking to make the coast to coast drive with my car. So, I started looking into auto transportation options and for the most part, I was getting similar price ranges. I was also picking up not so reliable sources and I was getting pretty nervous and stressed about moving my Mazda 3. As always, I looked to my faithful fellow Yelpers and I stumbled upon All American Trucking & Transport Inc. Thank GOODNESS that I did because right away, I felt most comfortable with the company compared to other sites or companies I ran across California. It greatly helped that I was actually referred to All American Trucking & Transport by another business that was an actual truck driver who did not have space for my car. When I made the call, I actually talked to a representative of the company and received an actual quote. Therefore, I felt more assured to make the contact and stick with them. As other companies of this nature, I had leeway of when my vehicle would get picked up and dropped off, but they were very helpful in communicating when the truck driver would be coming and where. On the day of, the trucking company were very professional and took photos and set me up with a receipt with the condition of my car. Since I was flying out to VA, I actually had a secondary contact since I was not sure when the vehicle was going to arrive. Therefore, All American Trucking & Transport Inc. were very helpful in communicating with my secondary contact as they were going to arrive A LOT sooner than I expected...mind you, I was ELATED to hear that it was going to get there sooner rather than later! Before I even left CA, I received a call stating that the truck had to make a pit stop because the truck itself had a breakdown in SC. I was not worried about it as they were ahead of schedule for me but I appreciated SO GREATLY how the company kept in open communication with me and my secondary contact in regards to the conditions. While they had roadside issues, they still made it in such a quick timeframe! Since my new apartment was right in the city with narrow roads, we met in a more open area near Lowe's and boy, was I happy to see my car in good condition! Not even a scratch and the only concern was the dirtiness but my car was already pretty dirty from Sacramento so no complains at this point :) I was extra ecstatic that Marge from All American Trucking & Transport Inc followed up with me via e-mail to see how my car was doing and how my experience went. I was able to locate another company to ship my vehicles. I was happy with their services and will recommend them to other families who are in process of a corporate relocation. And now, months after the fact this company (Specifically, Elliot) tells me that they didn't have any trucks going from the East Coast to Denver. If this is in fact the case, why would you not tell me this in the first place? Why even bother with giving me any pricing? Why give me the run around? Honesty is the best policy, dude. Keep your story straight. I wanted to use your services. You let me down. This experience as a whole is highly disappointing because they were so great the first time we used them. read more

I had an overall good experience with this transport company. I originally sought Lucky Star, but they were too busy and referred me to All American. Normally they would be able to do door-to-door service, but my window of time was too small so I had to bring it over to them. No big deal. Their staff was friendly. They have a big friendly office dog who enjoys your attention. The transaction was pretty straight forward and I was out of there in about half an hour. I tried to retrieve a Yelp check-in deal to save $50, but I wasn't able to get it. Their explanation was that I already had a $100 discount for being referred by Lucky Star, which I wasn't aware of (i.e. it wasn't on the invoice), and they couldn't combine both offers, which I couldn't find in writing (i.e. in their terms and conditions or on Yelp). The receptionist asked her manager and then presented me with two choices: to have the $50 discount or the $100 discount... I took the obvious choice. My only feedback is that they would make their discounts and discount policies clear to the customer. Nevertheless, they were still the cheapest option I have found in the Bay Area after doing research. The car arrived in the same shape I had left it with them, which is a huge plus. The delivery guy was friendly. Nothing was missing inside the car. This company is reliable, friendly, and pays attention to detail. If I had to move from the Bay Area again, I would use their service again. I would refer them to others. Overall, good company, good people, good price, good service. read more

Although the car didn't timely arrive as I had hoped it would I'm upgrading this review to four stars for two reasons: 1. For four of the last five cars I've shipped with All American I should have filed a Five Star review on Yelp, not just this one review this time when I had problems. Every previous delivery arrived undamaged as represented - and I can't say that for any other car transport company I've used. 2.The owner of the company called me after I posted the review and suggested that I should have called him first to help - and I didn't. Fair comment. Turns out that there WAS a truck scheduled to pick up my car the day I brought it over (as I was originally told) but the driver ran into problems and didn't make the schedule. Unfortunately, that problem I did not hear about until after I'd left for New Orleans, where the car was to be delivered. All American did get it out on the next available truck and they did make an effort to coordinate a delivery for me in New Orleans, giving me the driver's phone number to deal directly with him to expedite things. We eventually connected two days later in Georgia where I was heading as All American re-directed the truck to catch up to me there. It was the best that could have been done to resolve the scheduling problems at the time. It wasn't perfect this time, so not a five star. That said, one four star and four five stars out of five deliveries is about as good as I think it is likely to ever be with any transport company often at the mercy of its drivers' idiosyncrasies, and as I said in the outset of my original review, I would use them again. I was planning a move from SF to Norfolk, VA for grad school. From my own research on the internet the auto transportation industry can be a very shady business. If you do your research yourself you'll hear plenty of stories where people's cars being destroyed or held for ransom by their own shippers. I found All American because I got fed up of going online and was lucky enough to find that they had office locally. They've been in business for years, are bonded and self insured, even guaranteed a 14 day delivery date (delivery past the date they would pay for a rental, all depends on weather conditions) What instilled the greatest amount of certainty was that the owner responds to most Yelp reviews - positive and negative. They take responsibilities for any issues. When I did bring my car in , they were very professional and expedited the transport. . Their prices were in the ballpark as my online quotes ($1200). I got an additional $100 off when I referenced a yelp owner response to a review that mentioned a $100 discount. In the end, my car arrived within the delivery window. The only thing was the driver had to pick me up in my car and I needed to drop him off at his truck in Chesapeake (15min drive) because the delivery truck couldn't fit in the streets of Norfolk. read more

Overall, I think this is a good place. On the upside, they were very professional, organized, and friendly throughout the entire situation. I did shop-around at other businesses, but this place seemed to be the most reputable. - They estimated 8-12 days to deliver my car and I think it took 11 days. - They charged me $1400, which was $200 higher than a quote from the next competitor (who seemed a little less organized). However, I figure that an extra $200 is well worth it to ensure the safe passage of my $15,000 car, right? And while this place does have a few negative reviews (see below), they still seem WAY better than a lot of other car shipping places that I've talked to. read more

I was super nervous about shipping my car, especially after doing some research, requesting quotes, and being pestered via email, phone, and text by car shipping companies. The personal automobile shipping industry is a very strange sort of beast. I eventually picked this company since it wasn't dirt cheap and the positive comments I found outweighed the negative in a ratio that I was comfortable with, unlike some of the companies that were awash in poor reviews. The staff is pleasant and informative when walking you through the process of setting up your pick-up and delivery. I requested a pick-up on one of two days, and a delivery on or after a certain date, and they were able to accommodate all of these. They picked up my car in CA on Wednesday, and delivered it on Tuesday in OH. As noted in a previous review, there is no one in the in office over the weekend, so if you are transporting long-distance, this may be something to consider. To check on the status of your car in transport, you must contact them during business hours -- no GPS trackers or automated system. However, when I did contact them during business hours, I had an update within an hour or so. read more

This company is spot on. From start to finish. I was recommended by my moving company and Ashton, from the start, we exchanged cell numbers and communicated at a high level the whole. Then my company, who was paying for the entire bill. Delayed a few day and without a confirmation date. Ashton and crew were able to pickup my car within 2 days from California and have it to me less than a week later in Maryland. The dispatcher called and text me as well. Then the long haul truck driver who dropped my car was absolutely a stud. Dude unloaded my car fast and had a great attitude the whole time. He as well, called and text me multiple time to give me updates. I'm a business manager and my moto is " Communication is key to any successful company" Its no wonder they kick ass. I used this company to transport my vehicle from Columbus, Ohio to Emeryville, CA. This is about the 7th car transport experience that I have had - not with All American, but in general due to moving all around the country. This is the 1st time, I have had to make the arrangements myself and it was a GREAT experience! The pickup in Columbus with my father was pleasant and easy. He told me how nice and helpful the driver was - on a Thursday evening. Then on Monday afternoon, I get the call that my car will be delivered on Tuesday. What? That is SOOO quick for a Midwest to West Coast move - and in the winter time!! The driver once again was pleasant and helpful on the delivery - offering to pick me up at a BART station to take me to my car! The best thing about All American Trucking and Transport......the option to pay via credit card upon delivery. ALL other companies that I researched and called for quotes wanted cash upon delivery. And that made me VERY uncomfortable - a single female carrying around alot of cash, but not All American Trucking and Transport. This company is extremely professional and timely. All of their drivers were on polite, and careful with my vehicles. Most importantly though they were patient with me. There was some confusion regarding a few items I packed in the car (fyi... I would not pack anything of value because it will be your responsibility if it is lost or stolen). Needless to say, I made a mistake as a customer and was upset with them, but they handled it politely and professionally. Once I was able to locate the items, I called them back and they were just happy I had found them and gave me the benefit of the doubt on my rationalization from the previous day (which they did not have to do). There were some bumps in the road with the delivery... which is why I take one star away... however I am pleased with the service and manner of the staff (except for one driver who was going to deliver the car before our scheduled dates who was quite rude on the phone, however I don't believe he was a normal driver for this company... as he stated "I was just doing this as a favor for the actual driver...". He was extremely rude. Caesar, however, the delivering driver, was frustrated at having to come back and deliver but was extremely careful with our car and took especially good care of it. We had to take a cab to him because he stated his truck couldn't come to us and he did make it right by paying the cab fee. He was extremely pleasant and did take great care of our car. read more

Fabulous customer service from beginning to end! We were referred to this auto transport company from our local agent in San Rafael for a move to the Boston area. I dealt with Alexander for both cars which were shippped individually due to our schedules. They arrived in our new suburb earlier than anticipated both times. Highly recommend! The only thing that was frustrating was the shuttle to the airport - it's a taxi service and we waited over 30 mins for them to pick us up. It's not a "shuttle" so be prepared to wait especially if you are dropping off after hours. read more

Recently I purchased a car from a gentleman in CA and was in need of having it shipped to me in VA. When I started my search I was just using generic searches, but then I got down to identifying some of the top rated companies and went through a process of elimination. I ended up choosing All American because of my communication with Patrick. The other companies constantly responded with auto-generated emails to my questions and Patrick was the only one who responded with tailored answers and communication like I was speaking with a live person. Once we had agreed on price and pick-up/drop-off date ranges, I went forward with the process. Patrick had asked that I leave a completely honest review, so I will do that. First and foremost, I'm a very laid back guy and I wasn't in any super rush to receive the vehicle, I cared more about that it made it safely. That said, the delivery to me just had to be within a certain date range which was agreed on. So the ONLY problem I encountered throughout my entire transaction is that the driver who would be picking the car up in CA, had an issue on Jan 23rd (the original pickup date) and had to reschedule for the 24th. He communicated with the seller for me and arranged the pickup on the 24th and I got an update from the seller and from Daniela (of All American) confirming that the car had been picked up and was on its way. We had agreed on a delivery between Feb 3-7 and while that may seem like a long time to some, I was out of town Jan 27-Feb 2 so if anything they were doing me a favor by picking up the car and storing it until it was ready to make its way across the country. When I got back in town I received communications from Harry (the driver) with his anticipated delivery date and that he would communicate along the way. He gave me a time of 7am on Feb 7th and said he would meet me at a shopping center about a half mile from my house. At 6:45am he messaged that he had arrived and by the time I got there at 7am the car was already unloaded and parked. We went over the car inspecting for damage (this is difficult because the cars are definitely DIRTY from the long haul), but I didn't see anything outside of what was disclosed and I drove my new car home. This is the first time I've shipped a vehicle and I have to say it was a very smooth and pain free process thanks to All American. Patrick and Daniela specifically were great and Harry (I forget the transport company) was wonderful as well. The price was a little higher then some of the other quotes I got, but the reviews seemed terrible for some companies and at the end of the day they got my car across the country safe and sound with minimal stress and concern on my end. I recently used All American Trucking & Transportation to get my Audi from SF to Seattle. I can't really comment too much on their pricing relative to other services, as I didn't shop around much, but I can say that my experience with them was extremely positive from a service standpoint. I called to get an estimate and to get an understanding of the process and talked to Justin. He was very helpful and professional. He informed me that although scheduling varied, it wouldn't take long to get the car up to Seattle. A couple days later, I called to book the transportation. The woman I spoke with was similarly helpful and thorough. I dropped the car off on a Thursday afternoon. The drop-off service was quick and painless. I was in and out in 15 minutes. They called me a cab and gave me a voucher for the cab ride to SFO. I was at the terminal five minutes later. I got a call from somebody at AATT on Friday, informing me that the driver would be calling over the weekend to schedule delivery. The driver called me on Saturday, informing me that he would drop the car that afternoon, if he could get his truck into my neighborhood. He ended up dropping the car off a couple blocks away, since the truck wouldn't be able to turn around in my subdivision. He was on time and my car was in exactly the condition it was when I left. Overall, I had a more than satisfactory experience. The people were cordial and professional and delivered on their promises with no difficulties whatsoever. I doubt I will have a need to utilize them again, but if I did, I would without a second thought. read more

An Update: from Maryland back to the Bay Area. It was great! I emailed Justin regarding my dissatisfied experience 2 years ago and asked if he can help me with my current move back to California. During our phone call, he explained [1] what leaded to my bad experience last time (it was due to a sub-contracting company thing) and [2] how he wanted to help REGARDLESS if I decided to go with All American another time around. It was honesty and commitment to service, despite the over 2 years time in between, that led me to go with Justin another time around. I should note that I did find a cheaper quote with another company and I asked Justin if he could come close to the cheaper price--but he couldnt as the discount he gave me was already a loss for him. But he still offered his parking lot and the car checkup service upon delivery to help with the move--for free. He really wanted to make things right and I appreciated that so much. The car was picked up on time and delivered on time with no headaches. Justin and his colleagues were GREAT with communication every step of the way, especially with the pick up portion where he made sure it was as convenient as possible for me. I just received my car in Virginia after shipping it from LA. I spent months stressing over how to make it happen, and I'm glad I read the Yelp reviews and made the right choice here. I assumed all these positive reviews had been incentivized by the company somehow because every other car shipping page had only horror stories, but I assure you, I write this out of pure satisfaction. I began with Alexander who was incredibly helpful explaining the process over the phone. You'll give them a three day window for when you want your car picked up. I called 10 days in advance, so I gave Friday-Sunday and panicked when I was not contacted again until that Thursday before. But once Marge sent me an email, she was there for me the whole way. A local drive picked up my car at my home and put it on his tow truck, and said he would take it to a larger carrier that would drive it across the country. We spoke 3 times leading up to the pickup (24 hr notice, morning of, and half an hour before he arrived - very appreciated coordination.) Then, I waited. I was told 7-10 days, but I checked in with Marge after only 4. She said she would get news and let me know targeted delivery was Monday/Tuesday (would have been a total of 9-10 days from pickup in LA.) When I mentioned I would no longer be able to receive it on Monday/Tuesday, she helped coordinate changing the contact info so my partner could be responsible. But then, like another customer service dream, I was contacted by the local Virginia driver on Friday and he told me he would be delivering my car on Sunday, for a total of only 8 days without my vehicle. The same process, he called me again the morning of and when he was half an hour away. This time, I had to travel 5 minutes to a local mall parking lot where he could park his large carrier, but it was still incredibly convenient. The best part? NO DEPOSIT! I worried so much about paying hundreds upfront, and even though it cost me $1200 on delivery, I would do it again. Quick. Stress free. Worth it. read more

Competitive pricing. Courteous customer service. Pick up was in less than a week of verbal agreement and an email was sent confirming the price. The 2009 BMW went from Redwood City CA to North Wales PA and was delivered in the same condition 5 days later. Payment was made in full at delivery with a credit card. I strongly recommend this company and will rely on them again when we next need to transport an auto. They gave us courtesy calls the day before pickup and delivery as well as an hour prior to both meeting points. This was much easier and less time consuming than I expected - and competitively priced compared to 5 other quotes that I got prior to choosing. It was thrown out of court. Secondly, it's your company's word - all of those I spoke to - against me. I find it very hard to believe that no one remembered me alerting them to the starting procedure. Oh and btw, Alexander offered to ship the car without it starting, for an additional $300 fee. So your BS story about how cars can't be shipped inoperable is an outright lie. Great experience with these guys and would definitely recommend! I needed my car shipped to Seattle from Illinois and didn't want to drive cross-country. Alexandra was a great agent and constantly stayed in touch with me through the process, giving me information I needed beforehand and also providing me with a contact directly over the dispatcher and driver, who also reached out to me. Only issue I came across was the day of pickup, where the driver was a day later than expected, but the company was flexible and scheduled another driver to fill in since the first one had delays and couldn't get there sooner (my recommendation for customers is simply to make sure you have your pickup scheduled well in advance, say a few days or so, just in case the driver is a day outside of your estimated pickup window; anything can happen on the road to delay drivers, like truck issues or weather, so this is not on the company, but just something to be aware of as a customer; luckily, I had someone at home who could meet the driver so I could catch my flight that day, so also try to have a backup point of contact like a friend or family member who can take over if needed). Again, even with this conflict, All American kept in touch with me and assured me that if another delay happened they would get a flatbed over immediately to pick up my car. The car was delivered very timely in the shortest amount of days provided for the drop-off window! It was in perfect condition and the driver was patient and respectful while I inspected it, even while it was raining and wet outside. Overall, I would definitely use this service again, and just schedule my pickup a few days before any kind of flight to ensure leeway in case there are delays by the driver. This company is excellent and provided great pricing with insurance, and what I liked the most is that they are not pushy to sell their services like many other car transportation companies (all of which blew my phone up constantly telling me to use their service and how I couldn't trust other moving companies who would try to scam me with lower prices; BE WARNED if you're looking for a moving company for your car do not put your phone and email into one of those websites who will forward your information to dozens of companies or they will constantly bug you with texts, phone calls, and emails like annoying salespeople). I knew I could trust this company through a friend who had used them before; so trust recommendations from others rather than just using an internet search to locate the closest and cheapest service. read more

I just used MoveAuto to ship my car from southern CA to WA and was very happy with the experience. It was a last minute decision to ship the car and they were able to arrange pickup 2 days after I first called them. Frankie was very helpful in the initial setup phase and I can't say enough about how helpful and responsive the coordinator Darian was during the pickup and delivery phase. She kept me informed about the status and followed up with the transport dispatch at both ends of the move and was very responsive to my questions.
