April 2025 Update: Still Delicious, Now With a Side of Attitude Food? Five glorious stars. Service? A generous two... and that's because I'm in a good mood today. This spot used to radiate warmth--one of those rare gems that felt like your stylish, foodie neighbor invited you over for dinner. But this time? The vibe was off. Weirdly off. Think "high-end cool kid table energy" with none of the charm. We were escorted to the back by someone who looked like we'd interrupted her mid-eye roll practice. Our server followed suit, radiating the same "ugh, what do you want now?" energy. And it wasn't just a fluke--I had a similar frosty encounter a few days prior with the carry-out crew. Someone's been sprinkling aloofness instead of hospitality. Luckily, the kitchen is still holding it down like pros. My friend and I split the FIGGY GREEN SALAD--a fresh, vibrant flavor party--and the Seeded Salmon in that turmeric curry broth? Chef's kiss. Her husband devoured the Bolognese Pasta, and I sipped on a smoked old fashioned so good it made me briefly forget the server's soul-piercing sighs. In short: food and drinks = amazing. Staff attitude = less "welcoming neighborhood gem," more "mean girl lunchroom." Management, I beg you--please train your front-of-house team before the charm fully evaporates. You've got something special here. Don't let the service be your Achilles' heel.

Wednesday afternoon we sat on the couch by the front window. Very cozy upscale style. Gold accent with black trim against white. We didn't plan on eating here and they were nice to allow us time to browse their menu. We had Fairy Tale Expresso Martini. Very strong Expresso and is made with almond milk. So delicious and definitely kept me up for the night. We shared the Baked cheese topped with pomegranate seeds, pumpkin seeds, and something else I can't recall. The cheese held together pretty well and was like a spread to place on the crostini. Wasn't messy to eat and all the flavors went well together and were amazing. Earthy and a hint of spice that isn't over whelming. Don't realize the spice after a few more bites. Then we shared the Red wine braised short ribs. They split the entree for us and it was plenty of food. The polenta was delicious with the sauce. The braised short ribs fell apart easily. The arugula, onions, and shaved fennel made the dish very pretty. Definitely recommended trying this dish. The roads were a bit confusing with the one way lanes only but plenty of parking spots on the streets.

One of my favorite spots in weekend. It's an incredible spot for brunch - their breakfast sandwich is incredible & their coffee is really good. Though, recently had their burger which was quite good and I'd say better than other spots in DT Wheaton. Their fries and aiolis are always a highlight. The service is top notch, very classy. And the ambiance is generally pretty relaxed.

Drinks were delicious. We got a peach bellinis. Did not stay for food but everything looked amazing. Definitely a spot I will be back to try.

Everything was delicious! The baked cheese was a pleasant surprise -- almost soufflé-like -- and topped beautifully with mixed greens, pomegranate seeds, and pepitas. The short ribs with polenta were perfectly balanced; the sauce tied everything together, the polenta had a great hearty thickness (not overly creamy), and the short rib itself was perfect . The Faith Tale espresso was excellent -- well-balanced, with the vanilla adding a warm, subtle touch that made it extra special. Service was great, and there was plenty of parking for a 3 pm early dinner. This would also be a perfect date night. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful experience dining here! I went with my parents and brought along my 4-month-old daughter, and we were seated immediately and outside (exactly what we wanted). The food was absolutely delicious--everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. My mom and I tried the Zanahorita cocktail and loved it--it's such a unique and refreshing drink. I had the Tandoori Chicken Bowl which was packed with flavor and also felt healthy and satisfying. My mom ordered the chicken sandwich, and we all couldn't stop talking about the fries. Some of the best fries I've ever had, and the dip that comes with them takes them to a whole new level. Great service, amazing food, and a family-friendly vibe. We'll definitely be coming back!

Moveable Feast is a cute spot that is great for a healthy brunch outing. Unlike most brunch spots they do take reservations which can be made via their website. The decor is of farmhouse vibes making the experience feel like you're in a cozy small town. Unfortunately for my friend and I - we were over the top cozy as we were seated in a very secluded and hidden corner of the establishment. When asked to be seated in the main dining area we were told that those seats are for people with reservations. My friend did make a reservation which she restated however they insisted the area is the same anywhere we sit..It is not.. at all..lol.. This interaction was an interesting start to our time here however the food/drinks made up for it. I started with a sea salt matcha latte (with oat milk) and it was tasty. Matcha quality was pretty standard compared to other brunch places and I appreciated that it wasn't full of sugar. For food I had the grain bowl and added poached eggs at an upcharge. The eggs came out hardboiled and not poached. That was a let down however the bowl itself was delicious. All of the ingredients paired very well together, the portion was generous and I really enjoyed it. I will say - the food is 5 stars all the way. I'd come back just for the food. Maybe I'll sit at the bar area or hopefully get seated in the main dining area next time.

Moveable Feast is one of my favorite brunch spots in the west suburbs but I have been slightly disappointed in my last two experiences. Recently I made a reservation for two on a Saturday around 11pm. After checking in, the host brought us back to a seating area adjacent to the daily market. When I asked if we could instead be seated in the main dining area, they said it was full because of reservations... which I had also made. There were definitely multiple tables open when arriving. Because we were sat in the back area, service was significantly slower. It took about 10 minutes before our server greeted us and took our coffee/food order and another 15 min before our drinks came to us. Previously, I had came with my partner without a reservation at 10am when they opened and it was a similar conversation that without a reservation, we could only sit in the bar area as everything else was reserved. The bar couch seats are very low compared to the table height which made eating uncomfortable. The entire time we dined, many seats in the main dining area were open we could have sat at. I will say that all items (food and drinks) are ALWAYS delicious and have a great presentation. Serving staff is always friendly. I am never disappointed with what I order but there seems to be a disconnect in host service and accommodations within the last few months. I hope to see changes for next time I suggest coming to Moveable Feast.

After my friends and I went to the local Saturday French Market, we wanted a local place for lunch. Right in downtown Wheaton, the restaurant is quaint but also a bustling carry out business. My friends ordered breakfast items while I went for the unique sounding shroom tacos. No regrets here, the flavors popped. We were all very happy with our entrees. The chai tea latte was tasty as well. The server was friendly and attentive. Now my mom and daughter want to try it out!

Really fun vibe! Something-for-everyone type of place. Very spacious and airy inside. The kale salad and the fig salad were delish and beautifully presented. I wanted more from the baked goods, but maybe I just ordered the wrong things. Icing on the cookie was yum! You can tell they pay a lot of attention and care to the products they keep in store. Great clean ingredients. Nice service.

Maybe the coffee shop part of the restaurant, but it's more of a sit down restaurant that I don't think would be a good studying environment. I didn't see anyone studying when I went.

Their exceptional service and mouthwatering cupcakes have made me a loyal customer for life. The first time I ordered was for my youngest daughter's birthday, and they created a stunning unicorn cake that left everyone in awe. The cake was not only visually impressive but also incredibly delicious. The attention to detail and the skill of the bakers truly shined through. For my eldest daughter's graduation party, we decided to switch things up and ordered cupcakes instead. We opted for the chocolate pie cupcakes and the wedding cupcakes, and both varieties were absolutely amazing. As a person who typically favors chocolate desserts, I approached the almond wedding cake flavor with some hesitation. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how delightful it turned out to be. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each bite was a delightful treat. However, I must take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional customer service I received from Vanilla Sugar Bakery. Due to my busy schedule, I completely forgot to place the order for the cupcakes on time. With only three days left before I needed them, I frantically attempted to order online, only to find that there was no option to specify the desired date. In a moment of desperation, I decided to call the store and hope for the best. To my relief, the person I spoke to on the phone was incredibly sweet, kind, and caring. She immediately understood my predicament and assured me that she would help me out. She advised me to place the order online and promised to change the pickup date to accommodate my needs. I cannot express how grateful I am for her willingness to go above and beyond to assist me. Her exceptional service truly saved the day. When I picked up the cupcakes from Vanilla Sugar Bakery, I was greeted with a warm smile and the most delightful aroma of freshly baked goods. The cupcakes were beautifully presented, and it was evident that great care had been taken in their preparation. Vanilla Sugar Bakery has undoubtedly earned my loyalty. Their exceptional service, even in the face of my forgetfulness, and their delicious cupcakes have left a lasting impression. I will continue to rely on them for all my bakery needs, and I eagerly look forward to exploring the other delectable treats they have to offer. I also had their 12oz wildflower latte which was very tasty, but served lukewarm and not hot. If the milk is not steamed, it will bring down the temperature of the coffee. I like my specialty coffees served hot. I do have to say every staff member we came in contact with was friendly. They seemed happy and were there to help and answer questions.
