Lastly, they lost the legs to my antique dresser, and just set it on the floor, tried to tell me it never had legs. I felt totally gaslit. I'm disabled and have limited physical and mental abilities. Amanda helped us from beginning to end! We set up a zoom call, walked through our apartment to get an accurate estimate. She was kind, patient and thorough! We were moving out of town, so the rates were different per state law. Instead of per hour, it was based on thce the difference or be refunded. Amanda was extremely helpful in explaining this and empathizing with us that we had to pay per weigh! Move day was made so much less stressful thanks to Amanda and her husband, please support this small business! Their workers for our move were also very efficient and respectful. So I saw a referral for Move Dudes and we were so glad that we found them. They communicated very well and we kept in touch up till the load day. We are moving from WA to TN and they loaded 42' of our Upack semi trailers so perfectly and knew what they were doing. They took the time to wrap almost everything, and I am here to tell you that I wish they were available to unload. They are reasonably priced and excellent quality movers. Professional, efficient, flexible. I like the online system to get an estimate based on the stuff that needs moving. I was surprised that I was able to book on short notice. The movers showed up on time, were careful, worked very fast, and worked with my tricky driveway situation and many flights of stairs with no complaints. Late Review (Move was July 2022) I had the most stressful and disappointing experience with Move Dudes. They were supposed to be there between 9-10 a.m. and didn't show up until after 3 p.m. (they took on another job thinking it would be quick and made multiple stops before showing up). They showed up with only 2 movers for a 2 bedroom, 900+ sq. ft., 4th floor condo, with no use of an elevator, and furniture that included 2 large couches with all of the other furniture. A detailed inventory of everything to be moved was provided ahead of time and I was told there would be 3 movers. Because there were only 2 of them, my teenage daughter and I acted as the 3rd mover because one of them had to stay on the truck and organize things. Everything was loaded on the truck just before 7 p.m. I arrived at the new place by 7:15 and they showed up 40 minutes later (stopping to grab something to drink). We started unloading just after 8 p.m., again my daughter and I helping. Finished unloading just after 9 p.m. They put a huge gash in the wall of the new place, damaged one of the bedroom doors, and damaged a couch, a bench, and the entertainment stand. They dumped the clothes out of one of the dresser drawers and threw them back in with debris all over them. I was told by one of the guys he would fix the wall and that never happened. If my daughter and I had not helped the move would have taken 2-3 hours longer. I was offered $75 for the wall and whatever the contract allowed for damage to property. I paid over $1,000.00 and had the absolute worst experience and would never recommend Move Dudes. read more
