We had a fantastic experience with Mountary and especially want to shout out Neil for his incredible customer service! He was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process of creating a custom frame for our art print. The pricing was very reasonable, the turnaround was quick, and the quality of the finished frame exceeded our expectations. We were so pleased with how easy and seamless everything felt--and it was such a breath of fresh air to be in communication with a real, thoughtful human (thank you, Neil!) instead of an AI bot. We absolutely recommend Mountary and would use them again without hesitation. Grateful for such a positive experience from start to finish! read more

I spent a lot of time researching different framing options, from store-bought frames to other online services, and after reading way too many reviews, I settled on Mountary.com. The process was incredibly easy from start to finish--just upload the dimensions (mine was 24x36), choose a style, and they take care of the rest. The pricing was very fair, especially considering the quality and customization options. The final product exceeded my expectations, and I'm so glad I went with a custom frame instead of settling for something off the shelf. read more

5 Stars I recently had a large, valuable piece of artwork shipped from Belgium that needed re-stretching and box framing, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Mountary! I worked directly with Neil, and he was absolutely fantastic. He's incredibly personable and immediately put me at ease. I felt completely comfortable entrusting him with my artwork, which is no small feat! Also the value was unmatched here in the city. Neil's expertise and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire process. The final result was impeccable - the re-stretching and framing were flawless. The quality of their work is truly top-notch. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy company to handle your precious artwork, look no further than Mountary. We used Mountary to frame two athletic jerseys. We provided a photo of what it needed to look like (to match another we had) and the final products were spot on! Responsiveness to my initial query was wonderful and drop off was easy and convenient. They even delivered the final products to me as promised several weeks later! High quality, easy to deal with and a much better price than we found our first go-around with jersey framing! Highly recommend! read more

These guys are wonderful. The customer service was incredible. Shipping was fast and the product was exactly what my husband was looking for. Using them again this year for another gift! read more

I had a large painting framed. They provided Quick quotes via text, came out within a few days and showed us some samples of the frame choices available, so we can make it match perfectly with our decor. They picked up the painting and had the custom frame completed within a couple of weeks. They even redelivered the painting framed and installed it for me on my wall as well for a reasonable fee. Such a great, seamless experience. read more

I found this framing company online and am so glad I did. Living out of the area and limitations with my senior dogs, Mario and Neil went out of their way to work with me. Their professionalism and experience allowed me 5 final and beautiful products. I went back and we are working on 3 more. They have room after room of frame, mat and fillet samples. It will knock your socks off. Although i have little wxperirnce with framing prices, i think rhey are fairly priced. I went back, so that proves it. :-) read more

I got a friend's soccer jersey framed a few months ago and they did an amazing job! The communication was clear, when I went to drop it off, the details of the process were explained and I opted for the next tier in framing and the final result was better. read more

Neil was very helpful and communicative - I had a custom jersey framed for a gift and Mountary made it a very smooth process! I had a lot of questions and Neil was quick to answer them all. I had a great experience with Mountary. Much more reasonable price than San Francisco framers. We dropped off our painting, had it stretched and framed. Mario delivered it and installed the painting in a tricky spot in our house over a stairwell. Highly recommend! read more

Neil was excellent from start to finish of our framing experience. He explained the whole process extremely well and various options we had. The end product came out fabulous and as described. Highly recommend Mountary Custom Framing! Great service for framing, such a seamless experience

Amazing job! I did an inquiry about quotes for a personal picture done via iPhone 15 panoramic, and Neil personally hit me up to ensure quality and pricing. After some back and forth understating my desire and budget, Neil gave a fair quote with great quality. Overall, I'm satisfied with the customer service as well as the quality of frame work. I highly recommend Mountary Custom Framing. And I will go back myself with other pictures I want customer framed. read more

They made the framing process really simple and were nice enough to deliver my beautifully framed jersey when they were done.

I've got nothing but good things to say about Mountary Custom Framing. The customer service, communication and personalized approach they take to helping is incredible. They framed two sentimental pieces for me and were very reasonably priced, and very prompt. read more

I had a large (25'' x 40'') print that I wanted a simple frame for and was shocked when several framing places in the city gave me a quote of $600+ to do the job. I was excited about the concept of Mountary and even more so when I saw that it'd cost me a third of what other places wanted to charge. I like how there's no confusion about pricing - it's very up-front on their site. I got the white glove service which was very convenient. Neil brought all the different frame finishes and mats that they carry. He offered his opinion, but left it completely up to me which color I ended up choosing. I got back the finished job right on time and was very pleased with the result. They use a sturdy, UV-resistant plexiglass that is clear like glass, but without the extra weight or the potential to shatter. The frame is super smooth and great quality. They did a great job and will definitely use them again. read more

Mountary Custom Framing - White wash frame, no mat. Print is 25'' x 40'' from http://jenniferkindell.com/shop - Framing Near Me

DO NOT USE THIS FRAMING SERVICE. *WARNING* Take the time to review all of the photos I have uploaded...it is unbelievable. I was a return customer to Mountary as I used their services in 2016 with great success so I decided to use his service again because it is very convenient. Things have clearly changed. I had four pieces of original artwork (some with multiple pieces within them) this time for Neil to frame. The result was pretty bad: -All of the drawings have been attached on all four sides so that they cannot expand and contract and have ripples in the paper/canvas ...hopefully the pieces are not damaged...TBD. -The frame that is natural wood is one step from being milled, the clear finish is uneven and there are fissures in the edges. -In the piece that was matted (which was supposed to be a float) the mat is too big for the frame so it is bulging out from the center and they actually covered parts of the image! -They trimmed an edge off of an original artwork without permission from me. Unbelievable. -One of the pieces is mounted crooked in the frame. I have asked him what the brand of the mounting material is so that I can carefully remove the pieces from the mounting boards according to the manufacturers instructions and he will not respond. If you are looking to frame a $10 poster, you will be fine but be warned...do not let them handle any original artwork. When I spoke with Neil, he was very combative. He did subsequently refund me $389 of the $907 I paid. BUT you know what? I have still paid $518 for horrible frames and service that are useless to me.....the pieces have to be removed so that they will not be damaged from the way they have been attached and I have an original artwork that has been altered. read more

Mountary Custom Framing - Amazing work by MCF! - Framing Near Me

Neil talked a good game about his white glove service so we signed up to have a simple canvas stretching done. He asked to be paid up front which seemed reasonable and said it'd take a week. However, it's been 3 weeks and counting and while there was one (canceled by him) attempt to deliver the picture back, we can't seem to get his attention or any commitment as to when we much see the painting. So my advice is move on. The service here isn't good and the there certainly are better choices. As a follow on - spoke to Neil, the owner or manager. No apology, told me that he really didn't care and hung up on me. I'm not sure what's changed vs other reviews, but clearly these guys have lost it. read more

I have purchased three frames through the Mountary service and will definitely be a frequent customer in the future. Prices are significantly lower than competitors and the Customer Service is top-notch. The style of frames that are currently available for purchase will probably satisfy about 80% of most customers. They are modern in style and come in a variety of colors. The order is placed online and the website does a great job of explaining the terms associated with custom framing. I was a total newbie at custom framing so the detailed walk-through was extremely helpful. The exact measurements of your piece are required so make sure you measure that. Like one of the previous reviews points out, once the package arrives, the directions were a bit more general than I expected (do NOT throw out the brown paper that looks like garbage because that will be affixed to the back of your frame). I was also the first customer of their White Glove service. For a very competitive price, someone arrives at your home and helps you pick out what kind of custom frame would look best with your piece. I found the advice to be super-helpful and love the way that the pieces came out. Neil, thank you for everything! read more

I absolutely loved my White Glove service from Mountary! I was on the website trying to decide what frame and mat I wanted and decided to let the experts decide. This was definitely the best decision. It looks so much better than what I was thinking about. Recently, I've had some bad experiences with things being sent and badly packaged, arriving broken. This was definitely NOT the case here. Everything was packaged so that it arrived safely. I can't say enough times how thrilled I am with the result. Thanks Mountary team! read more

Mountary Custom Framing - Beautifully matted and framed artwork I picked up on a trip. Yay for White Glove service! - Framing Near Me

I signed up for the white glove service. It's great because you don't have to deliver/ship your artwork. They pick it up when you choose your frame and matte. Neil communicated that he was running 10 minutes late. Communication is a big deal to me and Neil was good with that and other e-mails. We were able to discuss matte color adjustments over e-mail. The piece was framed and delivered in a reasonable amount of time... less than 2 weeks from the appointment. Looks exactly how I wanted it to. I have no complaints. It's a great value. I'd recommend Mountary to anyone who asks. read more

I'm a fine art photographer that frequents bars in Williamsburg hitting on post college grads and foreign chicks that don't speak English. As such, I don't have a lot of time scheduled between my bookings (Union Pool's patio) and shoots (my bedroom) to drop off and pick up prints from the cheap frame shops in Bushwick. Ikea frames work great, but I hate cropping and run into issues with large format prints (not to mention matting). Now I'm a pretty fucking scummy guy, and the stuff I'm printing is not the stuff I want to be carrying around unless it's to the gallery. These guys make it easy to get custom frames and mats directly to my studio (kitchen) so I don't have to lug that heavy, awkward shit on the L train. It ain't the cheapest, but the dimensions are flat rate and free shipping is pretty epic. My only gripe is that they don't offer DEM or UV plexi - but I can't afford that shit anyways. The site is hard to find on google (mountary.com), but pretty easy to use - except for that chat window with Neal - nice guy, just doesn't shut up. read more

Who knew online custom framing was possible? I was skeptical but was convinced to give it a try for a large poster I had at home by the ease of ordering and the great price. The pricing was a lot cheaper than the frame stores I called and the online ordering was simple. They were very helpful during the online ordering process and offer all of the same acid free matting as a normal store. I'll definitely use it again soon. read more

Mountary Custom Framing - Framing Near Me

I just got my Mountary frame and it was so nicely packaged, I was nearly afraid to open it. I decided to test mountary and the whole idea of ordering a custom frame online to order a poster frame. I had previously used Michael's Frames on long island but it was a pain to go and kind of expensive. Mountary's ordering process was easy and the support was good when I had some questions. When I opened my beautifully packaged frame, I found the frame solid and made of good quality wood. I just ordered some more 16 x 20 frames for some wedding photos I want to put up. They even sent a coupon for my next purchase so it gets even cheaper. I thought putting the poster in might be tough, but it was super simple and the instructions were easy to follow. read more

I bought my sister a signed James Jean print as a gift but didn't have it framed. Now I want to give her a frame for it but she lives in SF and I live in LA. I contacted Mountary and asked if I could buy a gift card. They emailed me right away to tell me that they didn't offer gift cards as an option, but that they were going to make one for me anyway. Now that's customer service! I'm not sure if Neil is the owner, but he's been great. He's going to email me a gift card and now I don't have carry a frame on the plan from LA to SF! read more

Ordered a black 12x16 frame from Mountary. Super easy and intuitive ordering system, reasonable prices (especially with my coupon). The frame showed up in just about a week. Custom framing made easy, indeed. The frame was in perfect condition, and fit our poster like a glove. We had the whole thing framed and up on the wall in less than 5 minutes. Looks fantastic. Oh, and the frame came in the prettiest packaging. Was like a little present waiting for me at the door. Would definitely order from them again. read more

The frame looks great, just the way i expected it to. Packaging was thorough and a bit of a pain to unwrap, but i suppose it's better than receiving a damaged frame. I also couldn't find the mentioned instructions page in the box, but it's not rocket science (although i did have to redo it twice because of some sticker on the glass inside and positioning the print). Will definitely order again. read more

I'm so pleased with the new frame that I got from Mountary. I'm especially happy with how easy going and friendly Neil is. I appreciate his time and effort in helping me through the entire process of ordering and how he also put it all together once he delivered it himself! That's true craftsmanship folks! Even right down to the packaging, it was bound together with the utmost care, and so nicely detailed. I highly recommend shopping with Mountary, you will be thrilled with the outcome. read more

Finally an online custom framing service that allows you to do it all online and that looks and feels good. The pricing is great and was at least 40% cheaper than a traditional store. The site allowed me to easily enter my print size, select a mat and pick a style of frame. I immediately received confirmation that my order was being handled and built. There was a number if I had any issues or questions as well as live chat. The frame I wanted was a simple black frame without a mat, when it arrived it was safely packed and the quality was fantastic. I will definitely be going back for a few more prints I need framed.Well done guys! read more

I worked with Mountary on a large corporate project. We needed to order numerous frames and make sure the finished artwork all looked great. I had visions of me putting artwork in frames with my colleagues for hours and hours... until I spoke to Neil. He and his team made this huge project look easy. He answered all my questions as they popped up, was willing to go the extra mile, and included everything in my quote from art pickup & delivery to the actual framing, matting and gift packaging. Even the individual tags had the recipient's name in beautiful calligraphy along with the messaging. My colleagues felt special, loved their art, and I felt like a rockstar for pulling it all together... little did they know that Neil made the huge undertaking absolutely seamless. If you're thinking of Mountary vs. anyone else... save yourself the time & stress - just talk to Neil. I know I'll be sending all my future framing needs to him as well, and recommending my colleagues do the same. Thanks Mountary! read more

Of course it was easy to order, the frame looks great, the mounting was easy, and the packaging was adorable. But it get's better. There was a small mix-up with my order. The frame I got was similar to, but not exactly what I ordered. I was a little disappointed at first, but rolled with it. Then I got an email from Neil, who suspected there was a mix-up, and asked if I got the right frame. He personally came and picked up the wrong frame (I live in San Francisco), then re-framed my item for me in the right frame, and personally delivered it to me. That kind of customer service seems unprecedented, and wonderful. read more

I was in the market for affordable custom framing and I was contacting a number of places and getting quotes and Yelp led me to Mountary's website and all of sudden the chat feature pops up and Neil just chats his way into my non-framed life. I wasn't even sure I was ready to take the plunge and commit but with a simple "yes, I'm a real person, how can I help" I was telling Neil all about my prints that needed framing. After a couple of absurd questions (Neil, you're a gentleman and a scholar for entertaining ALL OF THEM) and looking through their impeccable website, I was in. I opted for the white glove service, cause why not- having someone come to your house and letting you pick out frames and then they take your prints and ship back to you for a flat fee, yes please. The frames are great and the prints look amazing. All of the stars, so much yelp. Quick note: I never got any confirmation emails for the white glove appointment or notice of shipping, but I never once doubted that I would get my prints back. Neil would never lie. It was the easiest, cost effective, all around awesome way to frame your stuff. read more

Overall just a really fantastic experience. - Their website is dead simple to use, and the whole process is really easy to understand. - Pricing is super reasonable and again really easy to understand - The website said it would take 2 weeks to get my frame. Five days after ordering, I got an email from Neil saying my frames were ready. - "I would like to get them to you before the weekend so instead of shipping them with Fedex tomorrow, we would like to deliver them directly to you." was what he wrote. - He also offered to drop it off during the evening if that was more convenient. This is a pretty big deal since I'm never home during the day (work). - He ended up coming by on the weekend to my place to hand deliver my frames - They're beautiful and it's clear a lot of care went into them, down to the handwritten notes included with them read more

I was so happy with the frame I got from Mountary! The website is very easy to use, with lots of options to choose from and all reasonably priced compared to a store. I only had a week of turn around time so I sent them a message and received a response right away. They were so helpful and professional.
