I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was serious. After using the hotel pool on 2/10/26, I experienced severe eye burning and temporary vision impairment for approximately 8 hours and through the night. The pool water also bleached a brand-new swimsuit during a single use--something that has never happened to me in properly maintained pools. The hotel's response was unacceptable. Two emails went unanswered. When I called, the head housekeeper, Lydia, hung up on me, told me nothing could be done unless I "called 911," and refused to provide manager contact information. The hotel also refused to cooperate with Booking.com regarding a refund. I strongly caution guests to use the pool with care, especially children. If this affected an adult this severely, the safety risk is concerning. This was a failure to address a legitimate health and safety issue, and I cannot recommend staying here. read more

After speaking with the owner directly, asking for housekeeping and we had a plugged toilet, we returned to our room late in the evening to find nothing had been done. We had to call the front desk, who was the only employee in the building, to request a plunger or have to change rooms in the middle of our 4 day stay. My husband had to plunge the toilet and made it usable for one last night. We received no apology and when we asked to speak with the owner again, we were told he wasn't around and send an email!! read more

Good lodge about 4 miles from downtown Bozeman. A bit tricky to get to from the airport as the turn off on Reeves is more like a drive way so not that obvious as a street. There seems to be a restaurant in the complex but otherwise there's nothing around. Nice lobby/Breakfast room with some seating. Indoor pool is small but a few laps is possible. No elevators (just two floors). Couldn't check in early - policy quite strict - so whiled away some time in downtown Bozeman which has a Coop grocery store with many vegan options and an amazing Ace Hardware that's more like a kitchen supply store. Good size room - ours is just a regular business room - plenty of move around space and a few nice chairs. Shower over tub - hot and strong. Comfy bed and good bedding/pillows. Wifi ok not the fastest but adequate.View of the mountains and highway. Small fridge and microwave oven, although no real cups or glasses just paper cups. There's coffee in the lobby but not hot water. Roomy parking lot. Aircon worked well and not too noisy. Good breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage patties. read more

Cute and quaint little lodge! Went to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and the place was really great. The hostess at the front was friendly and professional. The room was clean and set up nicely. The screen in the room was broken, but I was able to fix it. There was an issue initially with the room not being the one we booked, but this was resolved by the hostess at the front once we called Expedia to complain. For reference, we booked a King Bed Whirlpool Fireplace room however that was not what we were initially given as as room. This was corrected and we were able to stay in the room. We didn't get to experience the indoor pool but it looked peaceful. We would definitely be coming back here in the future. read more

Stayed here in July, 2024. Stayed here with our two dogs. Nice grass for the pups. No elevator. And were NOT old that ahead of time (and no we did not ask but as seniors they should have told us. Loved it! The hotel was convenient, checkin and checkout were easy. The hotel has many amenities including an indoor pool and hot tub, small gym room. The complimentary breakfast is very good with lots of options. We had eggs and sausage with a small muffin. In room amenities are nice. There are hot tubs in your room as well as a fireplace. The mini fridge fit all our food that we had for travel as well as our ice packs. There is also a microwave and individual coffee maker. We thought the staff was very nice. This is a two story building, so if you have a handicap where stairs are too difficult, request a first floor room as there are no elevators. We went to dinner in downtown Bozeman, but it looked like there was a restaurant that was a quick walk nearby. We would stay here again.....we had our morning tea and coffee in the hot tub in our room, then went over to breakfast. It was a great way to start the day. read more

I stayed here to celebrate my birthday, and my first impression upon entering the lobby was how charming it was, with a cozy log cabin and rustic appeal that I loved. Although there was a slight mix-up with the room initially, it was quickly resolved. The front desk staff were exceptionally kind, professional, and personable. This is our 2nd time staying here, first time was NYE back in 2021. We enjoyed it just the same this time. Hot tub was clean and HOT, pool was a nice temp too (not too cold), rooms were clean and cute. Breakfast is simple, muffins/toast, eggs and sausage, juice and coffee... but good! Staff was friendly and helpful and the place was decorated cute for the holidays. They have cookies and water in the lobby throughout the day too. Has it where it counts! This hotel was pretty great. Pulling up to the hotel I was nervous, it didn't look like anything special. Inside, I was immediately relieved to see an inviting mountain lodge feel lobby, and an obvious difference between inside and out. It's COVID still, so there's plexi on wood frames at the front desk. I will say that the girl who checked me in was either hard of hearing, or not paying much attention. She helped me right a way, and was courteous, but never smiled, or responded directly to anything I said. (The Lady running the front this morning for check out was much much warmer!) Coming to my room the halls were nice and clean, and had cabin style sconces. The room seemed very generic at base, but then decorated and furnished nicely to fit the environment advertised. The in room whirlpool tub was amazing! I sat in it for hours watching shows on my iPad and relaxing hard! Honestly, worth it for the tub! I would prefer that to most nicer rooms. The mattress was visibly sagging, but still comfortable. The pillows were great! I use the booking.com app for all my hotels, so I actually got a discount on this room (I think you get to their special pricing membership after 2-4 bookings, can't remember exactly) so for me the room was less than $100. At that price it's 5 stars for value received! The fireplace was a "heat and glow" fireplace, so it was fake wood and a super low flame. But nice for ambience. Over all a great overnight as I travel east towards Denver! Definitely recommend if you're stopping over in Bozeman. read more

We had a great stay while here. The lodge was under renovation during our stay so there was a bit of noise around 8am but most days we were out very early for the entire day so it didn't bother us. One day we returned around 7pm and there was still a little construction noise at that time. There were a couple times in the morning and evening that we heard trains pass by. They are doing breakfast bags in replacement of their normal breakfast due to COVID. I didn't grab any so I don't know what was in the bag. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. Therr is an indoor pool which is nice to use. The room was very well cleaned. We had the king bed room and there's a jetted jacuzzi tub in the room, not in the bathroom. The bed was VERY comfortable, very soft and plush The bed linens were soft. Our room had a small fridge and microwave. TV with basic cable, not a smart tv. The room was very spacious. Nice views of the mountains. The AC in the room took a bit of time to start up at first but once up and running it worked well. The room stayed nice and cold our entire stay. read more

I stayed at the Mountainview for 5 nights when visiting Bozeman. On the day I checked in at 3p, a young girl helped me and she was extremely polite. They were having an issue with housekeeping staff, though, and many rooms were not cleaned. I was told that the wait would probably be about 20 minutes. She did apologize for this, however. Shortly thereafter, Lad took over and I was told the young woman was supposed to be getting off shift, but she chose to stay late because they were short housekeeping staff. I thought this was awesome of her! A moment later, Lad decided to give me an already clean room so I didn't have to wait, which happened to have freshly shampooed carpets and painted walls (according to him.) Before heading to my room, I grabbed a water and a Hershey's bar and Lad put the $2.50 charge on my account. Customer service, though, took a weird turn with a female with glasses and brown hair working at the front desk starting on day two and intermittently throughout my entire stay. On day two, I brought up three Kirkland water bottles, a Hershey's, and a cookie bag that had printed on it- by the manufacturer- 2/$1.00. All was well until she said $9.50 would be the charge! I asked her to break it down and she stated that each water was $1.50 a piece, the Hershey's was $2.50, and the cookie bag was $2.50 (!) I told her that yesterday the breakdown seemed to be $1.50 for a water and $1.00 for a Hershey's. She told me that Lad was wrong and she would "have to talk to him about that." Oddly, she also ignored the price on the cookie bag. It seems that I should have been charged $4.50 for the three waters, $.50 for the cookie bag, and $1.00 for the Hershey's, bringing me to a grand total of $6.00, not $9.50. In any case, I'm including this in my review for 1. the owners of Mountainview to be aware of, and 2. to advise future visitors to just buy snacks at the adjacent gas station. Since the Mountainview doesn't have prices listed for their snacks, you're truly at the whim of which staff member is working and what their mood is for the price you're going to pay! In sum, the room was very nice and I really enjoyed staying at the Mountainview! The indoor pool, spa, and sauna were TO DIE FOR! Super nice, super clean, and just a gorgeous indoor area overall!! In addition to Lad, the housekeeping staff and the staff attending the continental breakfast were very friendly each day! I would absolutely stay here again when in Montana. read more

Yikes, I don't know how people have rated this place so high on hotels.com and yelp. We walked in and it had a charming lobby and we had a very nice guy check us in. But that's about the only good thing I have to say. We get up to our room and it's stuffy so we open the window. Unfortunately there weren't any screens on the windows so bugs starting coming in before we realized that the windows were a no go. Next I find these red marks on the carpet under the sink. While I know it's not blood because it wouldn't be so red, it really creeped me out. I also found more red staining in the bathroom on the wall and the floor where it hadn't come out of the grout. Ew! I went to wash my hands and found wet soap scum from a Previous guest under the handle of the sink which should not exist if they had cleaned the room well (which they should be doing even more obsessively during COVID-19). After feeling disgusting from all of this I go to take a shower and find someone else's hair in the shower. I literally counted the hours till I could leave this place. read more

The nightly rate is for one person - period. Every additional person is an additional fee/rate. By the time you do the math for a family of four, this place is hardly a bargain. We booked online and upon arrival we were told they don't do online check in and so we gave them another card for payment. Needless to say both cards got charged and it's now day 10 and they have returned the extra charge to the wrong card. I would just be careful and double check all receipts and paperwork because we almost didn't notice this one which makes me wonder how many times this has probably happened. This was the worst nights sleep I have ever had. The mattress was hard as a rock, the fireplace in the room wouldn't work, and the jet tub was dirty. The bed also leaned to the left and we felt like we were going to roll off the bed during the night. I would have just slept on the floor but gross! This is a very bad property to stay at..paid for a king suite for 2 days. we had a bed that you could feel the springs through. The fireplace would not stay on. The desk drawer was broken, and we had to ask for TOILET PAPER!!! the hot tub in the room was nice and the shower worked well, plenty of hot water..being so close to the train tracks (not advertised) was as much as a plus as the fire alarm going off.( no fault of the hotel) but the kid at front desk had no idea what to do! 0/10 would not recommend. read more

I'm a bit surprised at the low review. Our experience was fine. The hotel location is more like a business park and near the freeway so it's not the sort of place to get away by any means. However, the hotel itself was nicer than I expected it to be. Price was very reasonable. Room size decent, beds comfortable. It had all the usual amenities, wifi, gym, pool, free breakfast. The pool is indoor (which is nice) and it was huge. When we took the kids it was empty as well. They also had a decent laundry facility. We didn't have any issues with noise. All in all, a pleasant stay. No issues. The lady at the desk could have been a bit friendlier but we had no problems. A lot of amenities for a very good price. read more

I have so many mixed feelings with this 3 star reviews. Booked this on the fly thru Travelocity and got a great rate. Location was pretty good, just a few miles from downtown. Check in was a breeze. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. During our stay, we had trouble with our room keys being deactivated, every day, several times a day. Hey, it happens. The problem? When returning to the lobby to get re-keyed, every day there was a sign at the front desk stating that the clerk was out running errands and would return later. So we sat. And waited. And waited. Not for 5 minutes. Not for 15 minutes. Not for 30 minutes. It was upwards of an hour each time. Talk about screwing up a vacation. When we asked for directions to the Yellowstone gate, three people at the front desk shrugged and said they had never been. Understandable, but were we the only guests that ever asked the question? There is no elevator which was fine for us but could be a problem for others. If back in Bozeman, I would select another hotel. Buuuuutt...huge shout out to the gal who manages the breakfast area. Let me start off with this, if "0 stars" was an option, that would be much more appropriate than the 1 star minimum rating selected above. My wife and I in looking to enjoy our first child free weekend together since our son was born 3 years ago, had booked a room with a hot tub and fireplace at this hotel a couple weeks prior to embarking on our 5 hour trip from Sheridan, WY. Anyways, at less than a half hour from our destination and after an otherwise smooth westward road trip down I90, my wife received a phone call from the hotel's concierge to inform us that our room had "accidentally" been double booked and that we had lost our reservation as the other party had just checked in - going on to mention that unfortunately, although there were no other options with a hot tub and/or fireplace they had a few other base rooms available. My wife let him know she would talk things over with me and get back to them. I had caught the gist of the conversation while she was on the line and after she filled me in on the rest we decided to stop by to see if we could find out in person just how the fuck this had happened. In our questioning of the concierge, he initially explained it as such: "When you're online making a reservation, if another party/parties attempt to book the room shortly before/after it will sometimes allow multiple reservations to lock in." I called him out on this, putting forth that in this day in age, it's pretty unfucking likely that a reservation software glitch of that magnitude would not be immediately be rectified. He then proceeded to spill the beans and concede that our room was actually triple booked and that it's the hotel's standard practice to double/triple book their rooms in this fashion all year long to minimize vacancy. I expressed to him the significance of this weekend together, which he seemed to grasp, and asked what they were willing to do to make things right, expecting a comped room, or at least a sizeable discount on one of the base rooms. He responded, "Let me take a look." After a few clicks of a mouse and glances at the screen, he informed us that he could give us one of their remaining rooms for... wait for it... $30 MORE per night. No doubt that both of our jaws dropped for a couple secs before I let out something along the lines of, "Let me get this strait, you admittedly fuck us out of our room 30 minutes before our arrival and then have the audacity to ask us to pay more money for a lesser room?" He maintained his unchanging expression that fell somewhere on the grid between indifferent and slightly empathetic, and exclaimed, "I'm sorry that's all I can do." He genuinely seemed like a good guy who was just going through the motions of his shitty job for the umpteenth time, which prompted me to ask him how often he has had to have this conversation. He let us know that it's typical for him to have to turn away 20-30 reservations/day in the busy months of winter and summer. As we turned to leave, we concluded by thanking him for his time, while letting him know that of course we were going to have to give the hotel a shitty review. He gave a dejected nod and we made our exit. Happy ending: We found a fair enough deal across the freeway at the C'mon Inn - no hot tub/fireplace in the room, but 4 semi-private hot tubs in the common area. Our dinners on back to back nights at Dave's Sushi and Rice (Thai food) were both excellent, and other than the aforementioned debacle at the outset, had an all around great weekend. read more

The fitness room is an absolute joke. It has an older elliptical machine, an older bike and an older stand alone weight machine. It looks like equipment bought at a garage sale. The description of the hotel should be truthful about the fitness. The pool and hot tub look nice although I didn't use either. I was given a handicapped room even though I'm not handicapped. I was asked if I would be willing to switch my room from 2 queen beds to a king with a jetted tub. I agreed to that, but was not told it was a handicapped room. The shower is designed for someone in a wheel chair and I'm over 6' tall. I don't want to hang onto a shower head with a house when I'm taking a shower. Will never stay here again. read more

The room is always clean, and the breakfast is fresh, has good variety, and is constantly being supplied. The owner is usually available and will do just about anything to make your stay a pleasant one. It's also close to the interstate, shopping, and restaurants. Buyers Beware! While the hotel itself is pleasant enough, their customer service is sub par. Here's my experience with them. Traveling with family and we wound up in Bozeman due to a family medical emergency. Stayed 2 nights no problem. Needed a third night with a smaller room as a member of our party left. Told the night desk clerk that I could book on Booking.com for 116 a night. He said he could match that. Go to check out in the morning and was billed 150ish. When i told the woman about my conversation with the night clerk and showed her (Shawna?) the rate on my phone she pretty much shrugged. When I comment that I guess I should have booked it on line she said something like "yeah probably" I left feeling completely taken advantage of on top of having to deal with a family emergency while away from home. I would never again give any of my money to these people and I suggest you don't either. There are plenty of other place to stay in Bozeman! read more

Stayed two nights for a family wedding! What a wonderful experience! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Every afternoon there was infused ice water, lemonade and Cookies set out. Indoor pool was clean and very enjoyable, they even had swim suites to purchase! The breakfast provided each morning was so nice, clean area, plenty of variety. There is no kitchen there so the food was standard restaurant prepared food to heat and serve, but with kids it beat having to buy at restaurants. Very disappointed. Room wasn't too bad. I made a reservation online and received a confirmation email on the amount with tax. When I checked in, they charged me $30 more than my reservation. When I asked why, first they said it was because the price went up since my reservation was made and the new price was their price that day. I told them m reservation price was the price I should be paying. They then told me that the extra amount was tax. I showed them the email I got showing tax was included in my reservation price and they explained it was a glitch in their computer system that calculates tax incorrectly. I feel they should fix their system and only charge the amount their computer says when the reservation is made. They refused to work with me on it at all. No good customer service. read more

Dani needs to be fired immediately. Wow we had a horrible experience and will never stay there again as long as Dani is there. Oh my goodness SO rude and unprofessional from the get go. We tried to leave and ask for our cash deposit back but she said no. Unfortunately we were stuck there for 5 nights. When we were trying to check out we were in a hurry and had to wait for 30 min up by counter for no one to come. We called hotel multiple times, no one answered. My man walked around hotel to find someone as we couldn't just leave our keys on counter because we needed our cash deposit back. Dani was behind the hotel in bushes smoking weed or who knows what drugs back there. My man told her we've been waiting a long time to check out and she yelled at him saying it wasn't that long. I thought she was going to come into lobby and apologize to us for waiting over a half hour to check out and she goes over to her older lifted blue Ford Explorer/expedition gets in, storms off property in her vehicle screaming about picking up housekeepers. Hello customers come first! This was completely shocking! I was shaking I was so upset and in disbelief that this is how this hotel is run. We then waited another 10 min or so for her to get back and when she does she slams the hotel door in my boyfriends face before giving our deposit back. We asked for owners number to contact them and let them know what happened and she said oh I'll give them your number (bs, she won't). Still waiting on a call from owner days later. A full refund would not even satisfy us for that ridiculously bad experience. I wish I could give a lower rating. Dani needs to be fired immediately if you want customers to return to your place!
