We were quoted a prize for the room, and being still vacation time and also a weekend it was very pricey, however looking at our credit card statement we were charged $75 dollars more than quoted and that was without the extra taxes. I switched hotels on Kayak before getting out of my car. I'm sure it's a decent Hampton Inn on the inside but hey, this is Bozeman, a cool town and this hotel was set on a freeway at the crossover of a bridge with messy intersections at odd angles and lots of traffic, set across from Wal*Mart (which was the view across the freeway for half the rooms). Had I been in California's central valley, I might had said "par the course," and gone in. But well, this is Bozeman. I don't want to feel like I'm off an exit on Interstate 5 in the central valley, when I'm in Bozeman. read more

Due to the COVID-19 a lot of travel plans had been uprooted, including my own. Since international travel was currently out of the picture, I decided to travel domestically within the U.S. and went to visit Yellowstone National Park. I flew in and out of Bozeman and since my flight had an early departure time, I booked a hotel in between the city and the airport. I wanted a hotel near the airport but unfortunately there are not that many hotels in that area so I decided to book the Hampton Inn Bozeman as it was about 10 minutes away from the airport, there were some services and stores around the hotel, and I have previously stayed at Hampton Inn and enjoyed the experience. It was easy to book the hotel through the Hampton Inn website or through the HHonors app. With the pandemic, there were a lot of safety measures that the hotel had put in and that was evident from the lobby. As you enter the hotel, on the right is the check-in desk while on the left is the entrance to hotel rooms and the elevator. Straight ahead is the dining room/lounge area where complimentary breakfast is served. The first safety measure was that there were shields around the check-in desk and you were supposed to keep social distance while checking-in. The entire process did not involve a lot of contact and the front-desk attendant was very friendly and service-oriented the entire time. After I received my key I went back to my car because the back entrance was closer to the elevator so I went and moved my car to that spot. Our room was on the 2nd floor and so after taking the elevator, we went down a couple of hallways to get to our room. The room had a safety seal on it indicating it had been washed and sanitized with Hilton's Safe Guarantee. We had requested a room with two double beds and our room was a standard Hampton room. As you opened the door, on your right was the bathroom which contained a tub, a sink, a toilet, as well as toiletries - the size was also standard, not too big but not too small. On the left-hand side was the closet which contain a rack to hang clothes, an iron and ironing board, as well as a luggage rack. Further into the room on the right were the two double beds - both of which were comfortable but a bit on the small side. In between the beds was a nightstand and across from the beds were a chest with drawers on the bottom and a TV on top, and next to that was a fridge with an ice bucket on top. Overall, the room was decent, spacious enough and comfortable but not overly spacious. We were only there for one night so did not experience other amenities of the hotel. Also, given the pandemic I am not sure which amenities were open and which were not. The hotel did provide complimentary wifi, complimentary parking, and complimentary breakfast. The wifi was decent and you could connect as many devices as you wanted (the hotel also had plenty of outlets available to charge your device). The complimentary breakfast starts at 6am and we had to leave at 5am to catch our plane, but the breakfast mostly had to-go items included cereal, fruit, and yogurt to go. Overall, it was a decent stay at the Hampton Inn. The hotel generally provides a decent room at a good price and nice quality of rooms. This room was not as updated as the others but it still provided a decent and comfortable night's sleep. read more

CONS: Expensive! Over $200 a night for this time of year. This is an older hotel in need of upgrades. Stairwell smells like a strange chemical. Sound really carries in the halls and through bedroom walls. Comfy bed won't help stay asleep when the kids are hollering down the hall, and then dad is hollering at them for hollering. Zero verizon reception, so you have no choice but to log into their network. Image appears in the tv screen background, but only for some channels. I dont know exactly how that is possible. No microwave in room. No ripe bananas left at breakfast. Late checkout was not an option. Door from starirs to 2nd floor is darn near impossible to open. PROS: Friendly staff. Breakfast area was cleaner than most hotels, which is impressive, bc the hotel is pretty full. Above-average breakfast offerings, including 2 flavors of waffle batter, 3 pressed juice offerings, and 2 smoothie options (see pics). Bed is comfortable. read more

My main thing when staying in hotels is cleanliness and this place gave me a very clean room. The room was outdated with pretty old furnishings, which did give a little bit of grungy feel, but my bed was very clean. Side note: not all employees were wearing face masks at reception. A young man with long hair on the night shift was not and he was greeting new hotel guests. I'm an RN and recommend you strongly enforce masks be worn by staff at all times when in contact with customers or cleaning rooms. You can get people sick or get sick from people like me coming from Florida and then spread it to all of pretty, little Bozeman. read more

Very specific problem. The internet service is dreadful. We were staying for three days, not just driving through, so I needed the internet. I had to buy extra phone data to get hotspot. We chose to stay at Hampton Inn because the rest of the hockey team was there. It was clean, quiet and close to the car (room 129). The place is not pet friendly although it should be. The carpet is dated, lighting dingy and low enough to hide anything, and we were super close to the exit. You don't have to walk a dog through the lobby. The beds are clean but they have this lacey/scratchy comforter on top that provides little warmth. There is a small fridge but no microwave and a small cable tv with no premium channels or apps. The only things we could find to watch- ever - were Impractical Jokers, Married with Kids, and Christmas Hallmark movies. The complimentary breakfast looked better than it tasted unless you're fine with juice, cereal and waffles. The eggs come from a carton, the bacon isn't (tastes more like that precooked stuff from Costco) and the hardboiled eggs have this weird hardsnap consistency that makes you wonder if you're eating playfood. The people here are very nice and helpful. If you keep your key card anywhere near your phone you will be going to the front desk for replacement on a regular basis. The inn was in a great location for the ice rink and fairly close to Main Street but you wouldn't want to walk. There is no bar so you can walk across the street to Applebee's or walk behind to one of the other hotels for food and drink. read more

Our check in server was super great on Monday night, so I want to lift him up! Just a note, this hotel needs some renovations to get to where other Hampton Inn's are across the state/region. Our bathroom was pretty dated, but was clean. The carpet was frayed, but clean. The bed was pretty uncomfortable too, and I think that's the age. Well, heads-up, travelers--we stayed at this property a month ago on the way up to Whitefish, MT. It was decent then but this time, coming back through, we have a room with shabby furniture, a tiny dorm-like fridge (that barely cools) sitting on the floor, and two chairs from a storage room somewhere, pushed together as a poor imitation of a lounge chair. And the worst...no microwave. As soon as we discovered it was missing, we checked with the front desk to find that there are only 5 rooms on the whole property with microwaves. Also, the parking lot is dangerous in the winter. They do not sand, parking places are precariously icy, and getting in the side doors is very dicey with slippery footing. For the prices being charged, we expect more, to say the least. We will definitely not be returning! read more

Worst experience of my life! We went and stayed there for 2 nights. When we left they charged us $500 extra. Called the general manager Jeff and asked why there was an extra charge of $500, he falsely accused my dog of peeing all over the floor. My dog is potty trained. Mind you that there was snow outside and we were in and out of our hotel room to put our luggage in our vehicle. The general manager Jeff had the audacity to tell me that "it's not their fault that you don't take care of your dog". FYI We most definitely take really good care of our dog. I would suggest not staying here I would hate for anyone else to get rob by this business. I really hope that my review helps others. We stayed one night. Very nice front desk staff. Seemed okay when we walked in. They upgraded us to a king suite. I don't think anyone had stayed in it since 1990. It was not clean. The front desk staff being kind and the nice clean lobby is the reason I am giving this hotel a two, it would be a one without those things. Rooms are dated with inefficient air conditioning and as they were very busy, quick room turnovers led to finding dirty sheets when we got ready to go to bed. As it was around midnight we asked the front desk for new sheets and made up the bed ourselves- there was nothing offered other than an apology. Cutting corners this way is unacceptable- we frequent the Bozeman area often and will not be returning to this hotel as I no longer trust them to have clean sheets or any thing else when they are busy. read more

Worst experience of my life! I went to Bozeman for a funeral and stayed at Hampton inn. My dog and 3 children were with me. They say that they allow pets with a $75 pet fee, paid the $75 fee and next thing I know there is an extra charge of $500 in my account. I talked to JEFF THE GENERAL MANAGER and asked him what the $500 extra charge was on my account he said that my dog peed all over the room which is a false accusation! I've stayed at multiple hotels before and this has NEVER EVER happened to me. He also accused me of not taking care of my dog! How repulsive! First of all My dog is potty trained and second of all my dog was never left in the room by himself and lastly he did not potty in that room! This is outrageous knowing that a business is scamming people in this manner. If you have a pet and don't want to be charged excessively DO NOT GO TO HAMPTON INN!!!! So we are vacationing in Bozeman. We just spent 8 days at this hotel. Terrific people that work here. Front desk, Max, Rae, Henry are all nice and if you need suggestions for restaurants, these guys know there stuff. We literally tried a different restaurant for dinner every night. No bad meals. And fresh cookies in the lobby every day around three. The housekeeping staff we dealt with were Marie and Tori. Anything we needed to make our stay better in the room they made happen. You have to ask these days if you want housekeeping to come into your room. They are not hard to find. I personally looked them up and told them what items I needed. And they brought them to me. Service with a smile. Breakfast person Lisa was really good. She is the main breakfast person 5 days a week. The people and service are what make a vacation to me. These guys don't make a lot of money, feel free to tip them and write a little note. It goes a long way these days. This particular hotel is slated for an update sometime this year, so maybe it's a little dated. But it's comfortable, and nicely located in town. I would definitely come back here again. read more

I came to quite a shock to me when I walked inside. The lobby was updated, with nice staff, but as I received my room. I walked toward it, noticing that the hallways weren't up to today's Hampton scale. The elevator was the same. I entered my room, with an actual card (most Hilton's offer a digital key). I flipped the lights on, and noticing the red carpets I knew this was going to be something interesting. I looked up, and I was right, probably privately owned. Sometimes I like that feeling. Otherwise, the room was amazing, it wasn't showing it's age, it was clean, and to add to it, a heat lamp. NO HOTEL HAS THAT ANYMORE!!!!! I think they do a good job mantaning it. To anyone who says negative about this place, or how dated it is, can shut up now. I don't care if they renovate it or not. read more

Will never stay here again. The furniture, pictures, carpet and drapes are really outdated. It was like being in the 1970's. The carpet in my room was dark, dirty and had bleach stains. The carpets in the hallway are worn, very dark in color and dirty. All the dark carpets and drapes gave this place a dark dreary feeling. There was actual mold and mold stains all over the ceiling in the bathroom. This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. It was like staying at a motel 6. All the staff was very nice. read more

This stay was horrible! I did an e-check in for 3:00 PM. I arrived at 4:30 due to snow and room still was not ready. I got to my room and there was no microwave. I was here for 5 days due to work so I asked the desk for one. He told me he did not have any extras available, He did not even check to see if there was a room available that had one. Day two I arrived back from work with my do not disturb sign still on the door yet people were in my room while I was away. The maid said they cleaned the air conditioner. Apparently they thought it was a good idea to leave it on at 68 degrees in this weather?? Then I went downstairs and saw the front desk girl go to her car that was parked in the handicapped spot to get her bag?? My husband had a handicapped son and this is unacceptable! My room was not as clean as I usually see, wasnt vacumnrd over my 4 day stay, there was trash left in my room each day, forget to bring me towels twice, the fridge I asked for never arrived even after 3 different employees were asked and they agreed to bring it. Breakfast was awful and no where to eat. Redeeming quality the complimentary shuttle but I rented a car so could not even take advantage of that. read more
