Stayed here on a work trip and hope to be able to return next time I'm in town. The customer service was amazing, very kind and attentive staff. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I've seen in awhile. Pancakes, frittatas, sausages, yogurt bar, something for everyone! The drip coffee was lacking a bit in flavor for me, maybe it was just an off week. The rooms were clean and modern, I stayed in one with a small kitchenette. The wardrobe was nice to be able to unpack my clothing for the work week. The bathrooms also were lovely. Had everything I needed. Walking distance to everything downtown! I also enjoyed a nice meal from the Carlisle downstairs, not directly affiliated with Marriott, but conveniently located. read more

Awesome hotel and great staff. Close to all the shops. The restaurant at the hotel has a lot of game meats on the menu. If I see Tar Tar, I always order it. This was Elk Tar Tar. I've heard that the chef brings out the food at this restaurant. This time was no exception. The chef brought out my tartar. I hate to say this, but I was not really impressed. The presentation was lovely and the meat was fresh and delicious, but I think it had a little too much going on for it. The potato chips which it was served with were just a little too salty and seasoned for my taste and I prefer stick to be as simple and mostly focused on the real true flavors of the meat rather than the spices and the herbs which it is served with. Everything was overwhelming, and unfortunately, the taste of elk was a little too muted for me. Nevertheless, it was a lovely dish and I will definitely try other dishes at this restaurant. Love this hotel! It's clean! It's quiet. AC works great. There is a mini kitchen. Such a SCORE! Microwave and toaster and sink. Paper towels. Downstairs they provide a full coffee/tea bar, available all day. Complimentary breakfast 7-10 (I missed that because I got in after 1 am) Nice grocery store with hot to go foods, coffee, unique drinks, salad bar- less than 5 min walked called Co+Op 15 min walk to Peet's Park Greta location. This is one of the nicer hotels I've ever stayed in and definitely the nicest Element hotel I've ever been in. It's very clean, the rooms are big and service is friendly. Our room turned out to be a suite with a small stovetop and dishwasher and microwave oven and regular sized fridge. The bathroom is very nice and modern. The complimentary breakfast is much better than what I expected for a hotel complimentary breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

A week spent in Bozeman and this was home base as we visited Yellowstone and Gallitin Ntl Parks. Staff was friendly, very accommodating and above average in every regard. The breakfast has a few protein sources not just muffins and other carbs (although good). The yogurt bar was especially a nice touch which is an idea I haven't seen before in my travels. It's one block from Main Street and a collection of exceptional restaurants and shopping. The onsite restaurant The Carlyle was exceptional as well. read more

What a great place to stay! We picked this because of the location and it was a Marriott property. We were greeted with such an amazing welcome. I wish I'd gotten her name. (She had gorgeous red curly hair! ) the room had a great view and was extremely comfortable! They serve a happy hour from 5 to 630 and it was way more impressive than I would have expected. And the breakfast buffet had a little something for everyone. There was gluten-free and nut free options along with burritos that you could take to go as well. The Element Hotel in Bozeman is one of my favorite hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. First of all location location location! You can't beat where this hotel is situated. It's just off of Main Street so you're close to all the popular bars, restaurants, and shops. Hikes and walks are easily accessible and the hotel even provides bikes for use. Rooms are bright, clean, and spacious. The room I stayed in had a great view. They host a free happy hour with really delicious snacks and local Montana beers. Great free breakfast in the morning and although there's no official hotel restaurant, there is an eatery connected to the hotel. The kind employees are the heart and souls of this hotel and I will definitely be visiting again. I'm a born and raised Angeleno but I assured the employee here that I wouldn't be another Californian taking over Bozeman, even though my stay here made me want to move here lol. read more

My one and only go-to hotel whenever I visit Bozeman. It's clean and modern, has an excellent full breakfast spread including a cooked-to-order option and great customer service. I've stayed here a handful of times for various work trips and have always had good experiences, so I book-ended our trip to Montana with stays at the Element. While they couldn't grant some of my requests during our first stay (like a top floor room), they gave us a FAT upgrade on our return the following weekend. I never wanted to leave! I seriously could have lived happily ever after there. I didn't recall there being a great restaurant, the Squire House, on premises during my last visits. We enjoyed our dinner and drinks there, too, and the great service and warm welcome from its proprietor. read more

Wow! What a gem of a hotel. After staying at lower-scale hotels throughout my trip, this was a welcome surprise. The location, right in downtown Bozeman, is ideal and the best bang for your buck. Walking in here is a breath of fresh air. In fact, the scent in the hotel lobby, was amazing and I still remember it. Staff, during my stay, were friendly, helpful and very kind. I loved my room which included a small kitchen setup, that I didn't even expect. The room had glasses, plates, silverware, a small fridge, microwave, sink, toaster and more. My room had a beautiful view if you looked up to the mountains. If you you looked down, you saw the parking lot, minor detail. I loved the shower here. It was luxurious, and the pressure and temperature were perfect. The room temp was hot at first so I called the front desk. They sent someone up in less than 5 minutes who fixed the problem. Thank you. My room was next to the elevator, which was great but the cleaning staff seemed to gather there often and there was a good deal of conversations in the early- morning. Next time, I would get a room farther away from the gathering center. I loved that this hotel was connected to an independent restaurant. You can't charge to your room, but I loved the convenience. Parking is free, you just need a pass and to park your car around the block, in the back of the hotel. The staff very nicely let me have a late check-out. My keys didn't work in the afternoon, and they apologized 10 times and fixed the issue; fantastic customer service even when things don't work out as they should! There is construction next door (I never heard it), but that is actually going to be another Marriott property; score! I loved this hotel and I promise you will too. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the reviews. Number one, great location. I found the front desk folks to be very nice and helpful. The best part is having a renovated room. No complaints. Great shower too. I would definitely stay here again. There is a little street noise, nothing constant, quiet during sleeping hours, so maybe get a room that doesn't face the street. read more

It always makes me very sad when I have to construct this type of review because I'm always thinking about how my views impact others. That being said, I want to be clear about what people are getting when they stay here....Great Amenities, Poor Service, and VERY poor customer service! First, I came to town on a business trip (after being a longtime Bozeman resident). I stayed at the hotel for 12 nights. . My first impression was that the staff was a little vague, but I thought it was due to the gentleman bring in training. The room had convenient location, breakfast, a mini happy hour, and an on-site restaurant. The kitchenette was perfect for a longer stay. In fact, I was so satisfied by the first impression that I was considering making contact with the GM about the having all our executives stay here on all our regular visits to the area. That won't be happening now! They double-charged my room - one time on the card that I used to book the room and pre-pay. The second time they charged the room using my card I had on file for incidentals. It ate up $2,000 on my credit card which isn't a great feeling when you're traveling. They knew about the error before I did, but didn't correct it or contact me. When I finally pointed it out, the manager sent a snarky, unapologetic email telling me to book direct next time and it wouldn't happen. They still didn't fix it and told me just to talk to my bank. They basically stole $2000 from me and acted like I could just live with it. The staff was rude when I asked for a cleaning service on my room. I asked for the service and then stepped out of view while I waited for my Uber. They proceeded to mock me and say extremely rude things just because I politely asked for a basic service that they had missed. I will say that Ren, and Eugene were professional and polite. I won't be staying here again! I travel all over the country regularly for work. I usually enjoy staying at Marriott properties - and I've never been treated so rudely by a group of people who behaved like having someone stay at their hotel was an inconvenience to them. The Element had some things the others didn't. 1. On site easy access parking. 2. Kitchen not just a mini fridge and microwave. 3. Great coffee in the lobby. 4. We have 3 children in the area and have stayed at a variety of downtown locations. The Element is in a great location with shopping and exceptional restaurants nearby. One of the best features is the friendliness and helpful nature of all staff. We also appreciated the efficient shuttle service to and from the airport. Our room was on the 5th floor and very quite. There was a distant view of the mountains however, the more direct view was of scaffolding and large parking structure across the street. A perfect fix for the mixed nature of view would be to replace current shades with ones that have a top down feature that blocks the unattractive structures at bottom of the window and reveals the Mountain View up top! The room featured a full mini kitchen, mini eating area, sofa King bed, and full bathroom. It was comfortable and functional. In the morning the hotel offers coffee and a grab and go breakfast that we tried and left behind. The coffee was bitter and food overly processed and unappetizing. If you select to eat something, stick with cereal and banana. The gym and pool are well kept. A nice feature is the outdoor barbecue and seating area. It creates a home away from home feel. We enjoyed our stay. read more

I enjoy a minimalistic design. However, the Element Hotels take minimalism to the extreme. The Element was more East German than Kyoto. It met our needs, as we were traveling with our dog to a destination in the Midwest. We were not on vacation, and proletariat was fine. Yet, a picture on the wall, some texture, would have been pleasant. Other than the room, the hotel was lovely. The lobby, the entrance, the patio etc. were designed beautifully. Front desk staff were helpful and pleasant, and parking was a breeze. One block from the action on Main Street, the Element's location couldn't be better. However, with those high prices, I expected a bit more panache. Technology has led to an appreciation of stark. Soulless is okay, as long as it meets your needs. That's not my aesthetic, but I'm a lone voice in the woods. Character and design are important to me. Functionality is cool, but without beauty, it doesn't make it. I'm antediluvian, but you will get what I mean in about twenty years. read more

We checked in here last minute instead of driving back to Great Falls. The room was phenomenal ; clean, spacious and modern, and the bed was absolutely to die for. I am heavy and like a firm mattress to support my back.... This mattress was not firm but soft and yet STILL supportive. I got the best sleep here. Unfortunately I did not get there early enough to partake in the social hour or the on site bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel! read more

Since I was hear a year ago, the surfaces in the hotel have taken a lot of wear. There is some remodeling under way. The breakfast was better last time. This time there was no "toaster technician" to offer bagels and english muffins. Oh well... The hot offerings at breakfast all contained meat. At least one vegetarian offering would have been nice. The room was ok. Some surfaces a bit worn. Not enough coffee available for the in-room machine. Front desk staff friendly and efficient. read more

We really enjoyed this hotel. I came to Bozeman to visit my daughter who's a student at Montana State university to celebrate her birthday. We stayed in the double Queen suite and it was a great room. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast on the go was convenient and the location was perfect. Close to everything. The restaurant was delicious and even the bartender was really friendly and made us some exceptional martinis. We are definitely coming back! Love this place!! read more

For hotels in the $200-$250/nt range, this hotel is one of the best. Super hipster, but in a good way. LEED certified. Rooms are nice and quiet, even for facing the main road. There is bike rental available from the front desk. While I did not use the pool or the gym, they both look great. What did I learn today? We have stayed at ELEMENT ( a MARRIOT Hotel) three times now and thoroughly enjoy our stays every time ! The rooms are spacious , have many amenities , some with full sized refrigerators , stoves and dishwashers, plates and utensils .. Cleanliness is top shelf here ! The staff ( managed my Thomas ) are simply amazing and very comforting to everyone they encounter . I have witnessed some troubleshooting with a guest and Thomas was so professional as well as compassionate . This is a well run hotel in the heart of , Bozeman . Also, easy 1 block walk to amazing , Main Street with many restaurants , bars , classy boutiques , book stores , anything one could want . We will never book anywhere else , unless ELEMENT is full , of course . Let's not forget the amazing , Squire House restaurant attached to ELEMENT ... on cold days you need only enter this wonderful restaurant from inside the hotel lobby near elevators . So easy ! OUTSTANDING SERVICE and accommodation. We came during a busy time and they found space for us. We have not stayed in any hotel since COVID but were very impressed with how well they were taking precautions. They made us feel safe. Everything was sanitized, elevator limited to two people (fine because only five floors) and breakfast was VERY clean. The lobby was impeccably maintained and clean. Wifi was strong which was a godsend so that we could get remote learning done. I cannot speak more highly of the staff- everyone always with a smile and offering to help. This hotel is modern, environmentally friendly, and a marketing proponent in an ideal location. The rooms are what I would have loved to have had in my college dorm. Our family of four actually had plenty of comfortable spaces to be relaxing while the restroom was large enough for two to get ready at the same time. The room was one of the best I have stayed in ever. The shower is amazing. A rain-head shower with an adjustable spray head are in a beautiful 6-foot shower. The restroom is about 6'x12'. The sink is raised to kitchen counter height, while the Counter surrounding the sink has both a left and right side for toiletries and essentials. The toilets are designed for two flushing choices, and the concept is for reuse and reducing consumption. The evening had a social event for hors d' oeuvres and cocktails for socializing and networking. The morning had a complimentary breakfast with hot and cold food choices, as well as an English muffin bar (like an omelet bar) for customizing and English Muffin breakfast sandwich. We elected to eat at one of the restaurants in the downtown area, Copper Whiskey Bar, for which I will review as well. The complimentary shuttle both to and from the airport was a bonus, and to see the town, there were bicycles for borrowing. Our flight was rescheduled earlier than originally planned, so our trip to the Museum of the Rockies to see the dinosaurs was cut out. For quicker trips than walking or biking, Uber was available. read more

Other than the staff and cleanliness this place is awful. The walls are paper thin. I can hear every conversation my neighbor was having until midnight. The floors above you have only a thin rug so you hear every footstep. I could hear the person checking into their room, putting their suitcase down, going to the bathroom etc. The TVs in each room weren't working either. I appreciate everything the staff did for COVID and felt safe but slept 5 hours over the course of two nights. read more

Positive: Love the location! Right downtown within walking distance to great places. The rooms are spacious and clean. And the free breakfast has many good options. You shouldn't leave hungry. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Negative: The parking isn't free which is odd. Definitely bring your own pillow because the ones in the room are missing half their stuffing. The heating/cooling system is set to blow air directly on you while you sleep and can be annoying. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend giving it a try. read more

While the hotel itself is conveniently, centrally located, clean and satisfactory, it's pricing has gotten out of control and they've priced themselves out of the Bozeman market. At $600 for a night of sleep in this european-styled (stark) hotel it is NOT worth the expense! Not sure when The Element thought they were in mid-town Manhattan, NYC instead of rural Bozeman, Mt.. but you can easily find just as good accommodations at a FRACTION of the price. Where is the missing star? It was lost in the noise. The Element is a very nice, modern hotel, probably the only one of its kind in Bozeman. Great location, very friendly service and good pricing. The rooms are large and comfortable. The problem is that you can hear EVERYTHING in your room. We heard the tv from the person next to us and this morning we heard someone hacking and retching for several hours. It's probably just a facet of modern construction, but the lack of noise control is a bit annoying. Would I stay at Element again? Absolutely. But if you're really sensitive to noise, it's something to be aware of. read more

This is a very nice hotel with modern urban decor. Outdoor lounge has a fire pit, indoor pool, and 24 hour gym. Basic room was kind of small but the studio suite is just right. Hard wood floors and stainless steele appliances accent the kithen and fresh white linnen on the beds are very inviting. The shower was the best with a dual shower head a water fall or massage or both at the same time. FYI - it is a bit on the pricey side but it is well worth it. read more
