Not a great experience. I'm not sure how this hotel's rating is as high as it is. They're doing major renovations, so the paint smell is VERY strong. Elevator was broken on our 2nd day. No room service was provided our 1st morning. The front desk gal said it was due to a mix-up. We asked to still have it done, and they said it was too late. The 1st night, our room was really warm. The thermostat only has the options of auto or off. The dial read that the indoor temp was 65, but that was obviously wrong. We couldn't switch rooms bc the hotel was booked up. They offered to find us a fan but never got us one. The pool and hot tub were closed. The sign said it was closed starting May 12th for "roughly 2 weeks." We were there June 1-3. Positives - comfortable bed, stocked amenities, average continental breakfast.

Great location next to interstate and also close to all the Bozeman attractions with a Great hot breakfast. The rooms were really nice and clean plus the front desk is always 5 Star customer service The hot breakfast is at the top of any hotel breakfast I've had. I'll be back

I arrived here around 4 pm on a weekday. They had rooms ready on the bottom floor, but not the top. I decided to wait for a top floor, based off previous experiences. The staff was super sweet and held my bags so I could grab a quick bite to eat while I waited. They called me about 30 mins later letting me know the room was ready; not bad at all. The room was large, super clean and had an amazing Mountain view. Like with all Residence Inns, they have a small kitchen, pull out couch, bed, and bath. I loved it all. The sheets were comfy and soft, and they seemed like a high quality for a Residence. The pool is great and very relaxing. I only wish it was outside! Apparently, while I was there, they opened up the breakfast buffet for the first time since pre-COVID. I know this, because it was mentioned about 20 times! I tried the buffet, but wasn't a fan. None of the food had a lot of flavor and several things (like the potatoes) seemed undercooked. I'll let it slide since it was only day one. The location here is ok. With a car, you can get to Target, restaurants and a liquor store within 4 minutes. However, you are about 10 minutes from downtown Bozeman (where all the good restaurants are). Parking is free, easy and there were plenty of spots around the entire hotel.

Smudged and greasy wine glass in the cupboard

As a lifetime Marriott Lifetime Platinum member I stay in a lot of hotels. This was disappointing especially considering the price of the room. Our room had the previous guests hair left in the shower stuck to the wall. The toilet was broke and leaked ALL night long and would not flush. I had to use the bathroom in the lobby. Also, there were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher and the dishes in the cabinet were dirty and smudged! I let the front desk know and they didn't seem surprised or even apologize. All the did was write down our room and check us out. As a loyal Marriott customer I was very surprised and disappointed.

Kimpton Armory Hotel Bozeman - Yummy food

Kimpton Armory Hotel Bozeman

Great location right in downtown Bozeman, making it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and bars…read more The hotel itself is clean and well-kept, with solid restaurant and bar options on-site. The staff was accommodating and allowed an early check-in, which was much appreciated. Rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. One downside: Sky Shed was closed for a private event during our stay, which was disappointing if you're hoping to enjoy the rooftop. Also, the in-room lighting is terrible--easily the worst I've experienced in a hotel. If you're someone who does makeup or needs good lighting, bring a lighted mirror. Overall, a nice stay with great vibes and comfort, just a few practical misses.

To be quite honest, I don't think I'd stay here again when in Bozeman, depending on the circumstances. The hotel is nicely situated near Main Street and is an easy walk to many of the shoppes and restaurants in the area. Checking in was fairly easy and the person working the desk was extremely informative and friendly. The lobby was decorated nicely, with plenty of seating. It was strange that there were just stairs up to the front door, the accessible entrance was all the way around the building. We checked out other areas by the lobby. You can walk up to the balcony of the theatre and take a look at it from there. It was being decorated for Nutcracker brunch so it was super cute when we saw it. We visited the restaurant and both the bars. We also joined the social hour a couple of times. The social hour is great and I appreciated that they did this. We went up to the pool but didn't swim. It was nicely heated so you could be in it year-round. Our room was clean and smelled nice when we entered. The bed was comfortable and clean. We were on the 8th floor so there were no people sleeping above us so it was nice and quiet after the bar closed. For some of the flaws, I booked a mountain view and would not do that if staying here again. The train horn was super loud and went on all night. The shower leaked and the water landed on the huge metal plate over the drain. It was the loudest thing ever and we ended up having to put a towel in the shower to dampen the sound in order for us to sleep. Also, the fire alarm had a really erratic light that made no sense and sometimes lit the whole room up in an eerie green light. These flaws were fairly manageable. The worst thing (and the reason I might not stay in this hotel again) was late check out. They do it "first come, first serve" here, meaning you have to call around 7am to try to get a late check out, which is just given to you, no question about WHEN you need to check out. We decided to just hang out at the airport for the rest of our time because our late check out was just one hour. They also don't preemptively re-key your card, you have to wait until you can't get into your room anymore.

Just check out my pics... clean, adorable, comfortable!! Beds were great. I did get a suite so we had extra room, and it's probably the only room I would rent again as it is so absolutely lovely. Vintagey and mid century modern I cannot get enough of it. Tiny details everywhere you look. Staying for only one night is tragic, and I might cancel our 5 star hotel anniversary celebration last day of vaca splurge stay next week when we fly home just to stay here again. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Price is a little bit high but I think that's everywhere these days right but so worth it. Little bit of street noise but honestly nothing to really mention but I didn't hear any neighbors, not sure if that is the usual or not but I was extremely satisfied and happy and hope when we return I have the same experience. Be warned the cafe attached makes the parking lot completely full but it clears out after breakfast at least it did on a Saturday so not sure how that works for guests if they can't find parking! SIMPLY THE BEST.

When I asked them if they could fix it, they said no and the reservation was nonrefundable. We called the Bozeman hotel and they fixed it. We got a cozy two-room suite, which gave us privacy and saved some dollars. We were on the second floor, with an indoor-facing balcony with several chairs, opening onto the high-ceiling hall, with soothing "white-noise" from a pool full of giant koi goldfish. Cool! The swimming pool was nice, with windows to the outside so it was bright. Clean pool, and clean pool area. it was big enough. I think there were five hot tubs! Breakfast was pretty good. Hot eggs, sausage links, slightly spicier smoked sausage slices (yum!), grits, potatoes. Biscuits! Also a pancake machine! That was a little slow when everyone was there, but it was fun, especially for the kids. Good tasting hot coffee. A wide-open high-ceiling dining area. There's large fireplace in the lobby, of course not lit in July (2026). The top of the walls at reception are decorated all around with antlered mounted trophies. We loved the log-cabin look. It was like a resort lodge with all the conveniences of being close to downtown bars and restaurant and nearby big box stores.
