Whitney provided, photos, catering suggestions, decor ideas and was a great communicator. The day of the event, she and her husband were there to ensure set up and clean up were a breeze. They bent over backwards to ensure it was a success! Whitney did everything to help she could, including providing batteries for me that I forgot! I could not have asked for a better overall event and I am so thankful I found The Chateau! I highly recommend!

The outdoor ceremony with the mountain views was absolutely stunning and made our day feel so special. The bridesmaids' cabin was perfect for getting ready--beyond spacious and decorated so cute. The groomsmen's cabin is smaller, but it has a basketball hoop and other activities for the guys, which was perfect while the girls (of course) took a little longer getting ready. The DJ they provided was super friendly and helpful, and everything flowed so smoothly throughout the day. Communication was easy from start to finish, and the team really went above and beyond for us. The food was also delicious--we did a buffet-style setup, and it worked perfectly. Everything moved so efficiently, and our guests loved it. The pictures truly say it all, but I honestly wish I could relive this day over and over again. I never leave reviews, but this was so disappointing it felt necessary to warn others considering this venue. From the moment we arrived, the staff were rude and controlling. We were told that even one drop of spilled beer would result in a $1,000 cleaning fee--an absurd threat that set an aggressive tone right away. The makeup studio situation was even worse. Although we were told we had until 8:00 PM to clean up, by 7:30 all of our belongings--thousands of dollars worth--had already been packed up without our knowledge and thrown haphazardly onto the curb. Personal items, including purses and expensive makeup kits, were scattered with no care or organization. It was a nightmare trying to sort through everything, especially knowing we had early flights to catch the next morning. We weren't even given a warning or a grace period. To top it off, the staff continuously policed guests' behavior. They made condescending comments like, "Wow, another drink already?" and told guests to "pace themselves," even though everyone was respectful and under control. They confiscated the bride's personal beer bong, saying it wasn't allowed--fair enough if that's the policy--but when I politely asked for it back to put in our car, they refused and said I couldn't have it until after the wedding. Again, it was our personal property, and we weren't causing any disruption with it. This wedding was meant to be a joyful celebration, but the staff's attitude and behavior made it feel tense and hostile. If you're considering this venue, think twice. The location may be beautiful, but the experience left a terrible taste in our mouths. Adding on to my review: One of the most upsetting parts I forgot to mention was how the owner spoke to the bride's grandmother about the makeup room. She was so rude that she actually made the grandmother cry--which is absolutely unacceptable. The checkout time was 8:00 PM, yet all of her belongings were already thrown out on the curb by 7:30, with no warning or grace period. She was understandably distressed, worried about thousands of dollars in personal items that had been carelessly tossed around. To treat anyone like that is unacceptable--but to reduce someone's grandmother to tears on her granddaughter's wedding day? That's beyond disappointing.

Vintagey and mid century modern I cannot get enough of it. Tiny details everywhere you look. Staying for only one night is tragic, and I might cancel our 5 star hotel anniversary celebration last day of vaca splurge stay next week when we fly home just to stay here again. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Price is a little bit high but I think that's everywhere these days right but so worth it. Little bit of street noise but honestly nothing to really mention but I didn't hear any neighbors, not sure if that is the usual or not but I was extremely satisfied and happy and hope when we return I have the same experience. Be warned the cafe attached makes the parking lot completely full but it clears out after breakfast at least it did on a Saturday so not sure how that works for guests if they can't find parking! SIMPLY THE BEST.

I called the motel on the day of check in as we were running behind schedule. I was assured we were assigned a room, and would not get the last available room (sometimes that happens and the room ends up not being what was originally booked). I asked about extra blankets available at check in. Lisa, the hotelier, offered to have one put in our room before we arrived so we wouldn't have to worry about waiting for it once we checked in. Once we arrived, we were greeted as we entered the lobby. Currently, it is decorated in a Halloween theme, and very thoughtfully done. We were issued metal keys for our room....nice touch. We entered our room and weee greeted by soft classical music and a comfortable 70 degree room. The carpet is clean, laid on top of thick carpet padding...another nice touch and easy on bare feet. The bathroom is likely original to the building but was very clean. We didn't think much of the mattress until we realized our bodies didn't hurt when we woke up. We forgot our swim suits so weren't able to test the water, spa, sauna etc. They do sell swimwear in the lobby but we opted against it. The continental breakfast is worth taking advantage of, consisting of home made banana bread, which is quite tasty. Coffee, tea, milk, water (I am a water snob and I filled my travel thermos every morning and night straight from their ice machine), yogurt, oatmeal and a few other items were available for us to eat. And the infused water....Lisa makes it fresh daily and it is amazing! Don't let the age of the motel steer you away. While it was build in the late 1970's it is well kept and has a lot of charm. Lisa and her husband are wonderful people whose goal is comfort for their guests.

Last year during my visit, we were shopping at the Co-Op next door, and I said, I'm going to run over and peek at this pretty Motel next door. It surprises you. I made reservations for the next year, and got to spend a few nights here 2 weeks ago. The lobby is just lovely. Lisa served up a somewhat continental-style breakfast. It was just perfect, with everything you need to get your day started. I grabbed my breakfast, sipping my hot tea, reading the newspaper, chatted with some of the guests, and soaked in every minute of my morning. In the afternoon, Lisa lays out other snacks and always has a nice fruit bowl. The downstairs pool, hot tub and spa area are worthy of a Four Seasons. One afternoon, I walked to the downtown area to shop and explore. It was just a few blocks away, an easy walk. My bed was delightfully comfortable, and my room was clean and well-appointed. I felt safe throughout my entire stay here. I woke up, looking at the Majestic Mountains every morning. What a view. When you call, ask for Lisa (the owner's daughter). Her Dad/family has owned this establishment from the very first day it opened its doors. Thank you Lisa and all the staff at the Lewis & Clark. Everything was just wonderful. I will be back. I love supporting local businesses. This is a gem!

Well, we found out that Chum comes directly from massive family money from out east--his family is Bank of Boston. And Sally? Not authentic either. Her family owns a fortune from catalogues. These two are wildly rich phonies taking massive sums of money just to let people walk on their grass. They do no clean up and provide nothing. Your money directly goes into their already fully lined pockets. Bottom line: our contract may as well not have existed. They broke everything about the contract and we were helpless to do a thing about it. All we are left with is a ruined wedding and complete heartbreak. My husband had a nervous breakdown after dealing with these people. Our one special day never happened. It was the worst day of our lives. And it's all because of the venue owners. One thing that was very disconcerting was that they seemed not to even remember they showed us around once before--if you do use this venue, get everything EVERYTHING written down in emails or recorded on your phone. I was half afraid Chum was getting dementia for all the things he promised and then recanted on. Sally too. This goes as deeply as the very day we chose for our wedding--they recommended a certain day and I booked it and later they claimed not to remember doing so and that it never happened. The barn is charmingly old but very clean and well-maintained. The grounds are peaceful, gorgeous and impeccably manicured. Dan & Nancy are warm and welcoming people and will see that you are comfortable and well-cared for. This is not an all-inclusive venue, but they have a number of excellent local caterers, florists, etc. that they can put you in touch with. Danica, their daughter, was our event coordinator and made sure everything ran smoothly to make for a perfect day. The backdrop for the wedding, which was outdoors, was the Bridger Mountain range and made for a nice setting and outstanding pictures & video. Now for the lodge. Wow, our jaws dropped when we first saw it. A large and beautiful log home that we stayed at, just steps from the wedding barn. Several family members stayed with us and we all had plenty of space and privacy. A fully-equipped kitchen, basement billiard table, and TLC decorating touches all make for a cozy place to spend time. You could rent the lodge separately if you wanted to stay there and enjoy outdoor recreation or winter sports. You will NOT be disappointed.
