All because of the owners of this venue. Even though we visited the venue twice and thought we knew Chum and Sally, it blew up in our faces. Please, please please. Please, learn from our experience--these people took advantage of us and even mentioned that the contract was a "milk and candle" (milk the customers, torch the contract) to several of our guests. Chum was creepily controlling and kept calling our B and B asking "where the bride was". They watched us say our vows from their windows and doors. Set up was actually where everything fell apart. It was so heartbreakingly bad we can't even look at our wedding photos. Plus, I'm sure many think that Chum especially seems so "Montanan" with his fun little stories (and the fact he owns a ranch and calls himself Chum)? Well, we found out that Chum comes directly from massive family money from out east--his family is Bank of Boston. And Sally? Not authentic either. Her family owns a fortune from catalogues. These two are wildly rich phonies taking massive sums of money just to let people walk on their grass. They do no clean up and provide nothing. Your money directly goes into their already fully lined pockets. Bottom line: our contract may as well not have existed. They broke everything about the contract and we were helpless to do a thing about it. All we are left with is a ruined wedding and complete heartbreak. My husband had a nervous breakdown after dealing with these people. Our one special day never happened. It was the worst day of our lives. And it's all because of the venue owners. One thing that was very disconcerting was that they seemed not to even remember they showed us around once before--if you do use this venue, get everything EVERYTHING written down in emails or recorded on your phone. I was half afraid Chum was getting dementia for all the things he promised and then recanted on. Sally too. This goes as deeply as the very day we chose for our wedding--they recommended a certain day and I booked it and later they claimed not to remember doing so and that it never happened. For they not only fulfilled all which was required, and yes, the silly changes, but seemed to have a unique gift for anticipating what we might need. Heather always had most positive ideas to our suggestions which could have only come from the years of experience in running such a venue. The true West setting was almost beyond description setting forth a wonderful atmosphere for our gathering. The staff was wonderful. We had over 60 people showing up and all had only good things to say to me about the entire day and into the evening. So a very large thank you for going all out to make our party a huge success.

We had been playing this trip by ear and had been in Yellowstone the day prior with no cell or WiFi to get a guide lined up for the next day (our last day) in the area . I found Trout Chasers and called at 8pm on our way to Bozeman. Julie the owner answered and even though she was fully booked, she worked to find us a guide and had it all lined out an hour later we were thrilled! We will be back and ask for Brandon who spent the time to teach this Texas black bass girl how to Montana flyfish!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner with appetizers ready for you when you get off the river and a full 3 course dinner each night. The lodge is also an outfitter so they can arrange guided fishing trips for you. The location can't be beat - 20 minutes from the Bozeman airport, a huge property complete with river front footage of the Gallatin river. We are for sure future repeat customers.

Doug even went above and beyond by taking my 90 year old grandmother into the house while she waited for the ceremony so she didn't get too hot and then drove her down to the ceremony area. Having the venue available to us from Friday evening through Sunday morning was very helpful so we didn't have to feel super rushed to get everything done in a single day. The cabins that the bridal party get ready in are so cute and worked out great for us. The ponds and fountains were so pretty and perfect for pictures. I highly recommend the Ponds at Dry Creek in Belgrade!

The outdoor ceremony with the mountain views was absolutely stunning and made our day feel so special. The bridesmaids' cabin was perfect for getting ready--beyond spacious and decorated so cute. The groomsmen's cabin is smaller, but it has a basketball hoop and other activities for the guys, which was perfect while the girls (of course) took a little longer getting ready. The DJ they provided was super friendly and helpful, and everything flowed so smoothly throughout the day. Communication was easy from start to finish, and the team really went above and beyond for us. The food was also delicious--we did a buffet-style setup, and it worked perfectly. I never leave reviews, but this was so disappointing it felt necessary to warn others considering this venue. From the moment we arrived, the staff were rude and controlling. We were told that even one drop of spilled beer would result in a $1,000 cleaning fee--an absurd threat that set an aggressive tone right away. The makeup studio situation was even worse. Although we were told we had until 8:00 PM to clean up, by 7:30 all of our belongings--thousands of dollars worth--had already been packed up without our knowledge and thrown haphazardly onto the curb. Personal items, including purses and expensive makeup kits, were scattered with no care or organization. It was a nightmare trying to sort through everything, especially knowing we had early flights to catch the next morning. We weren't even given a warning or a grace period. To top it off, the staff continuously policed guests' behavior. They made condescending comments like, "Wow, another drink already?" and told guests to "pace themselves," even though everyone was respectful and under control. They confiscated the bride's personal beer bong, saying it wasn't allowed--fair enough if that's the policy--but when I politely asked for it back to put in our car, they refused and said I couldn't have it until after the wedding. Again, it was our personal property, and we weren't causing any disruption with it. This wedding was meant to be a joyful celebration, but the staff's attitude and behavior made it feel tense and hostile. If you're considering this venue, think twice. The location may be beautiful, but the experience left a terrible taste in our mouths. Adding on to my review: One of the most upsetting parts I forgot to mention was how the owner spoke to the bride's grandmother about the makeup room. She was so rude that she actually made the grandmother cry--which is absolutely unacceptable. The checkout time was 8:00 PM, yet all of her belongings were already thrown out on the curb by 7:30, with no warning or grace period. She was understandably distressed, worried about thousands of dollars in personal items that had been carelessly tossed around. To treat anyone like that is unacceptable--but to reduce someone's grandmother to tears on her granddaughter's wedding day? That's beyond disappointing.
