I have been wanting a refillable store in Eugene since I moved here in 2016. I am SO EXCITED to…read morehave Bhumi here. It's everything I ever wanted. They have hair care products, laundry products, bath products, skin care products, you name it. And the owner is so sweet and very informative. You can purchase a container to use over and over or there is a selection of miscellaneous glass containers that you can use for free. I JUST used up the last bit of conditioner that I filled up back in September. So I am looking forward to stopping by the weekend and getting my refills.

We're so lucky to have this place! A great local business. The main draw is the awesome selection…read moreof reusable and/or low-waste cleaning supplies and toiletries, including a great variety of refills--bring in your own containers or use the ones the store has on hand. They also have a nice selection of plants, crystals, jewelry, candles, and other gifts. The place is clean and bright and well-organized. In the back is a Terracycle location with drop-off bins for a variety of hard-to-recycle items, including for coffee pods, toothcare items, disposable razors, etc. I love that they have this option! Finally, they have by-donation tarot card readings on most Weds - Sat from 3pm - 6pm. The woman who does the readings is wonderful and funny and wise, and has been doing tarot readings and other witchy things for at least 40 years, so she's very experienced. Order some Cafe Yumm next door. While you wait for your order, get a tarot reading. Grab a favorite reusable product, or try a new one (last time I got a bamboo toothbrush and I'm in love!)

My two year old did this one herself, put the soil in, the seed in, and some more soil on top. She was happy to see her "baby" had sprouted today! Not much effort was put into starting this seed, given she's two, so I was honestly surprised by its viability lol. I definitely recommend getting seeds from here :) the staff was also very nice, and the prices on the starts and seeds were fair for the quality.

Super bummer about the review I'm writing here. We shop at this place for all sorts of gardening…read moresupplies, and our Christmas trees. My wife and son were meeting her parents at Beer Garden, and that side of the parking lot was full as always. She parked in one of the empty Grays spots (most of their side was completely empty) to unload our four year old so she could go park somewhere else. Before she was able to move the car, an angry male employee came out and started yelling at her about it. This isn't a place we choose to support anymore, and I'll make sure to tell our friends these people aren't welcoming to their customers. I'd never looked at their yelp profile before, and had no idea how many other issues people have had with them. Do better Grays, get a handle on your attack dogs. We need to feel safe at the businesses we frequent. *Edit* - to add information for other customers After my wife got home, she called the store to complain to the manager, and the person she talked to said they were the owner. They backed up the employee, and didn't make any attempt to apologize or smooth things over. They said they witnessed the exchange and saw nothing wrong with it. We won't be returning anymore.

Let me take you back because this right here might've been one of the coolest, most unexpected…read morenights of my life. So I roll up to Onsen Hourly Hot Tub & Sauna Rentals like a man who's got it all figured out swimsuit on, towel in hand, probably standing there like I'm about to give a safety briefing. I open that door... and instantly realize I am wildly overdressed for the occasion. Steam hanging in the air, candles flickering like we're in some low-budget romance film, and not a single person concerned with formalities. Just laughter, music, and that free-spirited, slightly janky charm of 30 years ago when nobody cared if things matched they just cared if it felt right. And those girls? Oh, they clocked me immediately. You could see it in their faces half amusement, half "we're about to fix this situation." There's some playful teasing, a little splashing, and next thing you know, I'm being coaxed into the tub like it's some kind of initiation ritual. I'm pretending to resist, holding onto what little dignity I had left, but let's be honest that ship had already sailed the second I walked in dressed like a lifeguard at a party that clearly didn't need one. Before long, it turns into full-blown chaos in the best way. People laughing, trying to pull me into the water, glow sticks getting tossed in like we accidentally invented a neon hot tub rave, candles lining the edges, and yeah someone passes around a little herb like it's part of the ceremony. It wasn't fancy, it wasn't polished heck, it was a little rough around the edges but that's what made it perfect. It felt real. Like one of those nights you couldn't plan if you tried. And somewhere in all that between the laughter, the steam, and me finally giving in and joining the madness I remember thinking, this right here is something I'm never gonna forget. Not because it was wild, but because it was genuine. Pure, unfiltered fun with zero pretense. What blows my mind is coming back all these years later... and realizing you can still tap into that same energy. Maybe you're a little older, maybe a little wiser (debatable), but the spirit of the place is still there. The hot water, the open air, the freedom to unwind your own way responsibly, of course but still with that same spark that made it special in the first place. Some places change. Some places lose their magic. This one? Still got it.

Dirty and Loud It was extremely loud. I asked staff multiple…read moretimes to turn down their 1980s rock music but they kept saying I wouldn't hear it in the room, wouldn't hear it over the water jets, and they said they couldn't turn it down. Even in a private room with the door closed, it doesn't help because of the open-air ceiling. Even with water jets on and earplugs, I could still hear their music. It was a busy evening. I suspect they played music this loud to mask the people having sex in their hot tub next to us. A clear health violation. It would have been better to address that problem to prevent that rather than try to cover it up. Because the person I originally went with wanted to go back to an onsen, I wanted to see if there was a way to avoid this experience if I returned. I called staff, left messages, asked questions about this experience and asked to speak with the manager. Because I left messages and emailed and never was contacted by the owner/manager, I can see they have bad customer experience. I was really disgusted by the experience. I will never go back. I reported them to the Oregon Health authority for pools. Oregon Health Authority (OHA): You can contact them at pool.safety@oha.oregon.gov or 971-673-0440.
