I didn't get to check it out, but there's also a downstairs lounge with a full liquor bar where you can also view the show. I appreciate the security when you walk in, metal detectors and staff members who very politely made sure everyone was safe. Scanning our tickets and entering was a breeze. Bartenders were very friendly and welcoming! We were standing at the barricade, so we chatted with the security guards and they were some of the nicest workers I've met at a show! They had lots of water bottles on hand to pass out to anyone who needed it, which is always great to see. The bands sounded great and we had an awesome time. We're already looking forward to the next show we can catch here!

There's a garage next door to the hotel though if you need close parking. Before the show we attended a bourbon/whiskey tasting in the speak easy below the main floor. Super cool experience. Got to watch the sound check for the opening band on a tv screen while in the speak easy. Also we met Arson, the guitarist, who joined us to talk about the booze. When it was over we were able to go to the main floor before anyone else was let into the venue. We got right on the rail! Worth every penny! Sound quality was fantastic and clear. They have massive fans blowing air and this is possibly the only concert I've attended where I was cold and not sweating in the pit. Nice touch Orange Peel. I would come back to this venue in a heartbeat. Long live The Hives!

It might have just been the holiday rush, but I always figure "busy means good," so my expectations were high--and The Local didn't disappoint. We started with the nachos; they were delicious, though I do wish they came with a bit more meat. For mains, the burger was outstanding--probably one of the best we've had in the entire area. We also ordered the Brazilian steak, which was cooked perfectly and came with great plantains. The quinoa with tofu was good, too, though it was a little dry and would have been perfect with a sauce. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and refilled my water at least four times without me asking. Great ambiance and an all-around good experience. Definitely worth the wait!

Bar tender provided menus, and checked back on us after a few minutes to take order. They've got a good menu with pizza, sandwiches, burgers, and a good variety of entrees (seafood, steak, chicken, pasta), basically, they've got something for everyone. Not being too hungry, but knowing we needed something, we decided to just split an order of the pulled pork nachos. The food came out fairly quickly, looked and tasted great. They did not skimp on toppings. Staff was friendly, food was good, only complaint is it was very dark inside, and surprisingly loud in the restaurant, I can't imagine being there with live music, I assume it would be impossible to have a conversation.

It was the perfect day weather wise to tour through the estate inside and out. The place is massive! The closer you get the more small you feel and walking through from room to room you just can't believe how big and spacious it is. This was my first tour where they give you this phone that looks vintage or from the 80's and you click on each number and an audio guides you through each room and gives you the back story. It was quite amusing watching so many people walking around with these phones up to their ears while trying to take photos. Some of the rooms were so beautiful, the fireplaces and how well they preserved a lot of these super old things. It was a fairly busy afternoon but the pace was quite steady for a weekday so I'm glad we chose that over a weekend. After the tour inside we grab a bite and drink at the two places offered outside. Then we made our way through the gardens and just endless rows of tulips. Make sure you go through and down to go to the botanical gardens. Holy cow, this was place was insane and the plants and flowers were gorgeous. I gotta give it up for these landscapers and people that keep up with all of it. There were plants and flowers I've never seen before and then you get to one room where there's a violinist and that was such a nice touch. After that we hopped back into our car and strolled over to the wine tasting room and gift shop. They were very quick and efficient with how it was set up and with all these groups coming in at once. We got to taste 5 wines and ended up taking 2 bottles home. I would say be prepared to spend some money visiting the Biltmore Estate but it was totally worth it! We got some beautiful views and photos!

Inside, the decorations are absolutely stunning, with poinsettias and flowers everywhere and breathtaking Christmas trees in every room. Carolers and a harp player add to the festive atmosphere, making the experience even more special. The tour is very informative, and we loved learning about the history of the estate. There's also so much to enjoy around the property, including the gardens, winery, hotel, and restaurants. The gift shops are filled with wonderful keepsakes, too. This is one of my favorite places to visit and, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful examples of ornamental architecture--especially during the magic of Christmas.

It was about 23 degrees the evening of and unfortunately, they did not board us until 8:10 so we all spent a good bit of time out in the cold. We came with a 13 year old and quickly realized that the show was much more appropriate for younger children. The train was nicely decorated and they gave us hot chocolate and a cookie. The hot chocolate was not hot, but the kids all seemed to like it. The reading of the story/"show" was overall pretty corny, but we also recognize the target age range. We would have liked to have been able to purchase other drinks or snacks while onboard, but the told us that was only for the 5 hour long morning train. My advice if doing this train ride: 1) come with younger children 2) go during the day so you can see more 3) bring whatever snacks or drinks you may want for the ride (though it's only 1 hour 15)

I would never have paid this much but they were already finished by the time I paid and realized) The show was absolute great and involved the crowd. Our boys absolutely loved it and were engaged the entire show. The seals were amazing! The food was excellent!! The soup was so tasty and they sale it in the gift shop , chicken was tender and juicy, ham was so good, corn on the cob, Mac n cheese, and the cheddar biscuit was delicious! The acrobatics, dancing, and swashbuckling was captivating and impressive and well exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the birds and dancing sea lion. Service was great and the staff did a great job of taking care of you while you enjoyed the entertainment. The food was well-portioned, but a bit dry and lacking in flavor. You got fried chicken, a slide of ham, soup, corn, and macaroni and cheese. Overall, expect to pay for an entertaining show and get a meal that the kids will enjoy.
