I've had a birthday party here, gotten delivery, and most recently enjoyed their lunch buffet. The food I order is always hot and fresh. The lunch buffet was so yummy to indulge in. While I feel like the slices are smaller I am always able to go back and get more. The salad bar has a variety of different things that are fresh. I enjoyed the pizza, cheese sticks, salad bar, and even a slice of the dessert pizza. I definitely would return for the lunch buffet alone. Spacious enough booths to enjoy a larger group if needed. For a casual pizza spot next to Dunkin' Donuts, this place is pretty convenient and good. You can sit inside or outside with plenty of spots to choose from. I came here hungry specifically for the Mountain Mike's Pizza lunch buffet which I really missed over the years. It is $15.99 per person and yes, you can access the salad bar/pizza bar/beverage machines as desired. I was thinking that they would offer discounts on the lunch, but it's still $15.99 and not bad for lunch option. Some locations have the buffets, but not all pizza places these days. Cashier was helpful and they are always busy with online app pizza orders. Customers seem to enjoy the buffet lunch here, I was sitting in front of a huge TV screen too. Comfortable place to dine inside. These pizza spots are great for busy working class folks in the area. My salad items were fresh and I did get to try a few slices of pizza. Satisfying. In the morning I went to the buffet. On these days. The customers service was horrible. The staff has a bad attitude and he looked dirty. And he was rude to me! And I tried to talk to other staff and the current staffed denied it and they didn't let me talk to the other staff or someone in charged. I don't recommend eating the buffet. Don't go here or order from this place I ordered a pizza thru uber eats when it arrived my coworker grabbed the box and sat down to eat I noticed he was choking on the pizza when I went to go look it was from the pizza thankfully he was able to spit it out when I looked at the pizza the pizza was all burnt and the crust was hard as a rock that's what he was chocking on. This is a small Mountain Mike's location that caters more to take out orders than dine-in. Online ordering is easy. There are 5 booth seats along the long wall, plus a few high/low tables. There is also some seating outside in the tiny back patio which faces the parking lot. There are a few big TVs, mounted on the wall, tuned into sports. I love how the people working here are cleanliness aware. I saw the guy behind the counter handle cash with his hands. Then he turned around to wash his hands at the mini sink behind the register. We usually choose one of their Specialty pizzas. Lately we have been ordering the ones with their creamy garlic sauce because the kiddo has decided that she prefers white sauce over red/tomato sauce in her pizzas. Chicken Club ("Better than a BLT. Loaded with grilled chicken, crisp bacon, diced tomatoes and green onions on our creamy garlic sauce.") I was very surprised when the kiddo chose the Chicken Club in our most recent order. She doesn't like onions and this pizza had lots of green onions. She read the menu, saw it had green onions and still chose the Chicken Club. And she happily ate her pizza, green onions and all. Snowy Alps ("Garlic Combo. Piled high with pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, Italian sausage, green onions and diced tomatoes on our creamy garlic sauce.") We also liked this combo. Large pizzas are 30% off on Tuesdays. There is a parking lot! Just turn into the driveway after you pass Mountain Mike's store front. Parking is never a problem here. This is my local Mountain Mike's. I go here a few times a month, usually dine-in. As far as Mountain Mike's pizza joints go, this is probably the best one, and I have been to quite a few all over California. Food is consistently good at this location. Prices are getting expensive, so I usually get the smaller pizzas or the "Half Dome" pizza sandwich with chips, which seems to be the best value. I like that their coupons are sent in the mail, and available on the App. when I get full size pies. Service has always been excellent here, fast and friendly. Wait time is usually about the time it takes to cook it unless it's Super Bowl Sunday. They have plenty of big screen TV's that always have sports on. Ambiance is good, usually not loud with screaming children- which is a deal breaker for me. As far as semi-large chain pizza joints go, I think this is the best one. If you are like me and enjoy a decent amount of sauce, you need to request extra sauce. read more

Came here a few weeks ago for the lunch buffet. When I asked in the Questions part on their Yelp page, the manager/owner said it was back, but when I came in, the worker told me they did not have it and there was a tiny sign behind the counter that said it would be back on 1/23. Go figure Wasn't a huge deal. They still had the salad bar and we ordered a few minis and a small pizza. I do love how all or most MM locations are remodeled or have a new look, very welcoming. The restaurant was super clean and the pizza came out really quick from the time we ordered so we didn't have to wait long for the food to come. They do have a few TV's if you're looking to catch a game while eating, but I wouldn't recommend if you're coming with a group of people to watch a playoff game. Will for sure be back to this location as it is only a few minutes from my house, but here's hoping they add the dinner buffet one or two days a week! read more

It was easy to order online. I applied some coupons for 2 pizzas and received confirmation of my order. I left work and arrived within 15 min of my confirmation. First time we went, we had the Everest and pepperoni and both were GREAT. From the dough, crust, to the crunchy pepperoni. The pizza sauce is light and not overpowering. This time we got the family deal which included drinks and garlic sticks. My fave is the Everest (see pic). They put the perfect portion and size of everything. My Mom goes in to order and when she's about to pay she notices the 30% off deal wasn't applied. When she pointed it out to the worker, he nonchalantly replied "I don't know. I am a huge fan of Mountain Mike's Roobers Roost. I usually order from the San Jose location on Aborn Drive but was in Santa Clara today so decided to go with this Sunnyvale Location. One star: they honor 30 percent off coupon on Tuesday (other MM is actually 40 percent off) The crust was old and hard-Not once did I have this issue at the San Jose location. There were multiple toppings missing such as green onion/bell peppers. (the picture also clearly shows this on their website) I understand that these locations are franchises but they should keep the quality and prep the same so customers like me are not disspointed. going to stick with the Aborn location. read more

Mountain Mike's Pizza in Sunnyvale has some good points and some not so good points. The positive things: 1) The Everest pizza had lots of good toppings; 2) The taste was good; 3) They offer thin crust pizza as an option; 4) There was plenty of seating both outdoors and indoors. The not so good things: 1) The interior is too dark and put me in a somber mood and I could not read while waiting for the pizza (my vision is not so hot); 2) The restaurant had FOUR large screen TVs and different sounds emitting from 2 or more of them. I really do NOT understand why Mountain Mike's has even one TV. Nobody was watching it. Four huge TV's cost a lot of money plus paying to subscribe to a TV service is not cheap. All that costs money and gets passed on to customers who are paying extra for it. That is a silly business practice and does not encourage me to return. read more

Ordered some pizza for pick up. It was ready by the expected time, so looking good already. The pizza was better than most chains. It was loaded with toppings but didn't feel heavy. I had MM years ago in a different location and remember it being greasy. That was good in its own way. My only feedback is the tomato sauce being a little too tangy for my own liking.
