The interior is a bit vast and there's plenty of seating and there's a bunch of wooden benches and tables everywhere. This service was good and they were very helpful when we had questions on what to order. Our pizza itself was good and delicious, but I do blame our friend for ordering too much garlic on the pizza. I walked into the restaurant and the skinny guy with the mustache and the cap doesn't acknowledge me or say hello even after I said hello three times to him. We enjoyed our recent visit to this location. Peter the store manager helped to provide a friendly service and kind experience. He helped me to carry the plates/pans to the table when the order was ready. When our children were done, they went to sit on the bar stools to watch them make pizza. I have fond memories of PMH from childhood growing up in Santa Cruz and frequenting the location on Pacific Ave. I was very pleased that the pizza from this location tasted exactly like what I remember. My husband and I split cheese and pepperoni and we were both happy. We also tried their mushroom with Italian sausage pizza which is seasonal for the winter. This restaurant gives me sooo much nostalgia. Used to go to the location in Santa Cruz when I was in college. My boyfriend never had it so I had to make sure we grabbed a few slices. The guy helping us at the front was very nice and personable! We picked the Big Sur and a pepperoni with sausage. The slices are still hugeeeee and the ranch is free. I totally forgot about that. Wednesday night and we were in a pizza mood! I was picking up an online ordered that was placed. When I arrived, I provided the employee my name. He said there was no order under my name. He then proceed to list the names of those who ordered. Unfortunately, I did not have the confirmation number. I found out the credit card used to make the purchase had a pending transaction through the bank. I checked in again with the employee and he found my order. I was going to pay for a can of diet Coke, but the employee said not to worry about it since he inconvienced me. When I arrived home, we opened the pizza carton and are shocked it's the wrong order - or least who ever prepared it wasn't paying attention. There was no meats we ordered - pepperoni and sausage, but they added artichoke hearts. A call was made to the store and they just offered a refund. We really wanted our pizza we ordered but it was 9:30 so they were probbaly finishing up the night cleaning because they didn't offer to make a new one. Highly disappointed :'( read more

Pizza my heart satisfies my pizza cravings each time and is convenient since there are many locations. This time I got a large split pizza to go with half Big Sur and half Fort Point, and both were really good. The Big Sur is their most popular specialty pizza and is similar to a combo pizza that you can get at other pizza places. The Fort Point has a pesto sauce base and comes with chicken, sausage, ricotta, tomatoes, and artichokes. The staff was nice and got the pizza ready sooner than the expected time. On July 4th, most of the restaurants in the area were closed, but we checked earlier in the day that this place was going to be open past 9 PM. We enjoyed the Santa Clara Independence fireworks and arrived at Pizza My Heart at almost closing time. There were hot pizza's already on display but Ian wanted Cheese only. We inquired and a very polite employee proceeded to prepare a pie fresh for us even though we only wanted 2 slices! We stepped outside, enjoyed the surroundings and within no time our order was ready!!! Ian was a happy camper! He loved his pizza. During this Covid times, this has been my go to Pizza place. I love their flavors, the thin crust, and big filling slices. It's nice to have an option to buy pizza in slices, especially when other members of the household is craving for something else. My favorites are the Pesto and Manresa. Today I went there to grab a couple of slices. They also have salad choices. I got a Greek Salad today and it's pretty decent and more fresh than the ones I get from the grocery. Every time I go there, the crew is friendly and warm. Whether it's lunchtime or evening, they are pretty welcoming. Truly Pizza from the Heart My dad is currently going through the last stages of cancer. One of the most meaningful times for him (and for us) is sharing family meals but due to his advanced condition he is unable to eat most of the time. What a wonderful surprise that he IS able to eat your plant-based pizza (it's literally one of the only foods he is able to eat without discomfort). Yesterday, he said he was craving your pizza for dinner with a special request of lots of extra sauce (he's a sauce person). As we walked into your Sunnyvale restaurant we were met with a kind smile and greeting from Angel. We then explained dad's situation along with our odd request for a good amount of extra sauce. HUGE gratitude to both Angel and LJ for going above and beyond, for being so gracious and generous, and for making sure we had everything for a delicious memorable family meal. I have been a long time customer due to the allergy friendly nature of the restaurant and one vegan member of the family. However, the quality of the pizza seems to have gone downhill. Whatever vegan cheese they are using now is not nearly as good as what they used in the past. Also, the pizza with it on it still had raw uncooked vegan cheese, which was not appetizing (coming from someone who likes vegan cheese). Separately, I got a one topping cheese pizza for my kids and only about half of the surface area of the pizza had cheese on it and that was light even where it was present. There was a ton of sauce on the other hand and my kids just totally refused to eat it. They normally love cheese pizza, but lately have not been excited about it from this location. I'll probably just make it at home or look for another option. Disappointed too many times lately. read more

This isn't my normal Pizza My Heart but "mine" is being remodeled so I tried this one out. Good news: same quality, same pleasant service. Hands down, my favorite pizza is Maverick's: pepperoni, sausage, salami, & canadian bacon. But Cowell's Combo with pepperoni, sausage, olives, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers is a close second. If you're in an experimental mood, I can also recommend Pleasure Point (garlic, tomatoes, spinach & chicken) and The Lane (pesto, sausage, & tomatoes). One of the things that stands out at PMH is the dough. Outer crust is thick and chewy but the inside is fairly thin. The gluten free is made from rice flour and quite good as well. If I'm nitpicking, they sometimes overcook the gf crust and it can be a little burned. Check before you leave. PMH is not inexpensive. A large can set you back $30 for one of the combos. But it's pretty large -- 3 hungry men didn't finish it. read more

So for the longest time, I thought that Mountain Mike's and Pizza My Heart were virtually indistinguishable, being similar in price point and general vibes. But after having them a week apart from each other, I realize they are pretty different and I much prefer the dough, crust, toppings, and style of Pizza My Heart! My favorite so far has been the Virgin Creek -- basically a margherita with the addition of ricotta. I love how the soft dollops of cheese complement the basil and fresh tomato flavors. My insider tip is to do take out (which is the way we tend to go during COVID anyway :)) and then heat it up for about 10 more minutes in an oven at home at 350F. It makes the crust nice and crispy, just the way I like it! Pizza My Heart, I will never cheat on you again. Can't wait to try all the other varieties! read more
