I would give "zero" stars if I could but I have to choose 1 to write a review. This pizza parlor is a joke! Never ever again will I order take out from them. My mother found 1 blonde hair in between the cheese or dough not sure which one, all I know is that she pulled it out of her mouth practically puking. She then insisted we should go back to show the manager at Mountain Mikes in Prunedale, CA but I told her I wouldn't go for 1 hair. But after trying to put pizza away in the refrigerator, a second blonde hair appeared!! Disgusting!!!! It was again in between the cheese or the dough. This time I was totally willing to go back to make them aware and to check if any employee was wearing hair nets. When we first got there, I showed the cashier and she insisted it was cheese and not hair, so I found the hair for her in between 2 slices of pizza and made her feel for it and she agreed it was one. She then took the pizza to the kitchen to make the manager aware. After a moment the manger came out and denied the whole thing even when her own employee agreed it was a blonde hair. The manager instead said that none of her employees were blonde and that it must have been a cheese. She also said that all her employees had black hair. She said she couldn't do anything about it because she didn't see the hair and that I should have taken a picture of it. Pretty pathetic when there was 1 still in the box when I first got there but after the leftover pizza was taken to the back for her to see, it somehow disappeared and couldn't find it anymore. I told the manger that I wasn't there for a reimbursement and wasn't expecting anything out of this but only to make them aware. Also, that they should be more careful and make all their employees wear head nets because none of them were wearing any, not even herself and yes they all had black hair. Tried to order a pizza today and there was a miscommunication between 2 employees which the second employee made it into my fault. They were supposed to deliver a pizza I ordered which never showed up. When we called to find out what happened a new girl answered the phone and said it was on its way. Then the girl called back to say no the pizza is here for you to pick up. We explained to her it was for delivery and that we could not pick it up. I also said why would we have given her our address for the order if it wasn't for delivery. She refused to have the pizza delivered because she said they were too busy and she was new to working there. I asked to speak with the owner or manager and the she refused to have me speak with anyone because she said they were busy. I told her to have my credit card refunded. She said my credit card was never charged. I just checked my credit card statement and it has been charged for a pizza that we never got!! Now I am trying to get a hold of my credit card company to file a dispute. This was just over a pizza to be delivered. I like to support local businesses but this is completely ridiculous. I have NEVER been treated like this by a local business in the Prunedale area. Hope the owner realizes he can loose business fast if customers are treated like this. read more

I'm so sad to leave this review . My husband and I came in and spent about $60 on pizza and sides for take out . We got a small mount veggiemore and a medium Tuscan pizza as well as poppers , wings , and a drink . The cashier asked us if we would like ranch or blue cheese with our wings. My husband asked for ranch .After we made our order I asked the cashier if we could also have ranch and marinara on the side . She said "of coarse !" . Then we waited...and waited... my husband facing the front so he wouldn't miss them calling our name , an hour and 6 minuets later we had enough and he stepped up front to see what the hold up was. She acted confused and asked him what the order name was (there was only 3 other groups in the place btw and they had their food or just ordered ) he gave them the name and She ran to the back. She returned with our cold food. Seeing that my husband was upset she said "we called your name a long time ago " (a lie bc we were sitting two booths away from the register waiting the whole time) then she tried to not give him the receipt she did nothing to try to amend the situation after either . We took our cold food home to nuke it and realized there was no ranch for the wings and no ranch or sauce on the side either .I'm so upset . I want to suggest everyone go to round table instead . Very delicious pizza. They also made me a crustless pizza because I eat low carb. They put sauce and toppings in a pie pan and baked it for me. PERFECT low carb pizza!!! The worst service ever! My wife ordered a pizza on line and picked it up. When she got home she found that she was given the wrong pie. We called them and after about ten minutes of explaining (I didn't think it was that complicated) they agreed to deliver one to our home. Fair enough... Or not. Would not recommend this place at all. I love mountain mikes but this location has bad service and the manager does not speak English ,supposedly, to communicate with customers at all. Our pizzas where cold and not cooked right. We where offered a 30% discount instead of remaking our order and making it right. We spent almost $90 on 2 mountain pizzas only to be treated wrongly and also hung up on. We never asked for a discount ever. We never took the discount at all cause we just wanted management to understand our concerns and make it right which they never did to show that they care about there customers. We ended up loosing all our money and tossing the pizzas away being that they where raw and not cooked right at all. We lost $90 dollars and We will never recommend this location ever to anyone. Note Also we have ordered from this location many times before in the past and have always had problems but always try to support our local Businesses. we only ordered this time being that we where told that this location is under new management and again wanted to support local Buisness but the service obviously never changed nor has it improved at all unfortunately. I am house sitting and it's a gated community so I called back and added the house number just in case. We are new to the area and just want to watch Giants games. The reviews were mixed but service on delivery seemed to be the reason for the low stars. Where we moved from Round Table is our favorite and we got pizza to go from the local one since we moved but thought we would give MM a try. When we walked in we were impressed at how nice the place is and clean. The game was on so we were happy. Now the bad part. The only TV in the place with volume was blaring the news in Spanish and I found it very distracting to conversation and watching the game. We ordered two medium pizzas and one showed up and the second took forever to come out. By then the first pizza was not hot. This is the biggest reason for low stars. This is a big no no. Also if I had to compare the actual taste compared to RT I would pick RT. The staff was very nice though. read more

Never ever ever use the online ordering. We are locals to this establishment an every time we order online we get hosed. The wait time is twice that of the folks who come in and order off the street, and the online order is ALWAYS wrong. Tonight my wife waited an extra 30 minutes past the time of the online estimate. People who came in off the street and ordered got their order first. When we got our order, finally, the pizza was cold. This isn't the first time, but will be the last time. Round Table, which is just as close practically, runs circles around Mountain Mikes. We gave them several chances, and they have failed every time. Sticking to Round Table unless a miracle happens. If you're Prunedale local, I'm probably preaching to the choir. Mountain Mikes falls flat compared to Round Table. If Mountain Mike's was my franchise, I'd be alarmed. Great pizza, awesome location (as we live just down the street and it's great to see the Prunetree shopping center have a little more positive activity), friendly staff, and again, delicious pizza. We've been there twice so far. The first time was the opening weekend and it was packed with 49ers fans watching the game, which was great! We're so happy to see another place where the community can get together, have a few beers, pizza, and watch the game. BUT, I'd like to include a little positive and, hopefully, constructive criticism to help them out. I understand this is a brand new location (only been open less than a month, I believe) and so they are still perhaps on somewhat of a trial run. Both times we've gone, we waited probably around 45 minutes for our pizza. The first time was understandable (new staff, relatively busy). The second time was tonight at 8:00pm with only one other couple in the place. We didn't get out of there until about 9:30 and they were trying to close the place up. SO, all that said, we really want to see this place improve and stick around for a while because, one, they have a solid pizza that definitely rivals Roundtable down the street, and two, it just seems like a great place to hang out! In order for that to happen though, you guys need to speed it up a bit. When people go out for pizza, they are expecting greasy, cheesy goodness in their belly... now. Standard pizza here, nothing outrageous. Service, although friendly could hardly be called service at all. Yes, they took the order and my credit card but that's about all they were able to do. We sat waiting for over 45 minutes in an almost empty restaurant for our food. 2 customers who came in well after us were served before us. On a Tuesday at six thirty we were four of nine total customers. There appeared to be six young dudes "working" though I can't imagine what they were doing. I'm pretty sure I could save the franchise owner some serious money by running the place by myself. Six employees and nine customers (5 whole pizzas) and it took almost an hour to get our food which when it did come wasn't even hot anymore. I'm fairly certain I watched them pull the pizza out of the oven, cut it, box it and then put it on top of the oven only to be forgotten until they realized we were STILL sitting at the table right in front of the counter just looking at them. "Oh, you still want pizza?" I could have walked over to Safeway across the parking lot, purchased a frozen pizza, asked them to cook it and eaten it before they served us. I could have gotten fed up and called another pizza place to deliver to us sitting at that table before they served us. The pizza was alright I guess but not worth the wait. read more

There was hardly anyone there when we made an approximately $200 order. After 45 minutes later and seeing other customers who ordered after us receive their pizza, I inquired about our order which consisted of 5 pizzas & chicken wings and was told by management our order "never printed out" for them to start making our pizzas! Tell this to 8-10 year old boys who are super hungry!! The manager apologized and offered A free large pizza! We had a horrible experience with a home delivery. I paid online - the delivery person arrived and asked for payment. I showed the receipt that we'd paid. He asked to see the credit card information - he was very demanding, saying we did not pay and he needs payment - we contacted the branch and they too were very confused. They asked me to log onto my bank to see if the exchange had processed, which it had. All this, and the delivery person sped away down our narrow rural driveway. I've been buying Pizza from Mountain Mikes in Prunedale for years. I've always tipped around 7 or 8 dollars. Last week I ordered a Robbers Roost Pizza and it came messed up, the toppings had mostly moved to one side like the box was turned on it's side, plus it had some red peppers that we didn't ask for. We put the toppings back all over the pizza, and removed those awful peppers, then ate the pizza. I called the pizza place and told them how unhappy we were. The lady said she would have the manager give me a call. I still have not heard from him. I've always complimented them on their pizzas in the past, and this guy can't return my call. Maybe these guys only work good when everything is good. You can tell how good a company is by how they react to a problem. I made the mistake of giving him the benefit of the doubt when I should have not repaired the pizza and just asked for my money back. Had ordered online through the yelp app to try it out and was amazed at their amazingly friendly and fast response time. They even made sure to call me to let me know one of my items was out of stock and if I wanted a replacement item. I agreed and they adjusted the price of my order for the item. The delivery was within the expected window promised and was very no hassle. The driver came dropped off the order and left without needing the signature or anything. More convenient for me plus with ample plates, peppers, and cheese. Definitely would order from this place again. read more

Probably the sparkliest cleanest pizza joint in Monterey County. There are quite a few Mountain Mike's Pizzas in the area and I've probably been to all of them at least twice and the pizza is always consistently very good, every time. Tables are large, seating is comfortable and doesn't feel cramped and spaced reasonably well apart. TVs line all the walls, every which way, so you can watch local news with captions or the football game wherever you sit, if you are into that sort of thing. One thing that'd be nice to have here is free internet access like the Marina one. read more

Regarding delivery: Since pizza is the most popular food on the planet, please don't lose your mind if sometimes it takes a while on delivery. There are two places for pizza here in Prunedale, and traffic is horrible in Prunedale tween 4-7 most days. I find that on average when I order delivery it's hot and at my door in 20-25 minutes.
