The stacks of dishes piled up on the CHILDREN's buffet, were blistering hot (also dripping wet from the dishwasher). The tongs left in the chafing dishes of the children's buffet were too hot to touch. Many of the dishes were completely unlabeled making it hard to know what things were or what was in them. The beverage station that's usually there was walled off, and instead the only options available were water, canned coke, Diet Coke, sprite, milk, or hot tea/coffee. No lemonade. No iced tea. No juice. My kids don't like soda and can't consume dairy. All they could drink there was water. And for the first time since EVER we went through a dinner service without an appearance by a minifig character. We will not be back here this trip, and not sure we ever will be again.

The wings are pretty good, pizza is alright. I really struggled with the customer service though. We ordered delivery and the est. Time was 45 mins. After about an hour I called to politly check in (i know business' are short staffed). The lady that answered the phone asked me if I could be placed on hold, I said that was fine, I waited on hold it on hold for 7 minutes until until I hung up and called back. She answered the phone and took my call but she sounded extremely annoyed that I was calling. She said that he was delivering our order now . When the food showed up we noticed that we were missing a salad and all the extra dressings we had ordered, So I called the restaurant back and the same lady answered.. She sounded almost angry that I was calling in said they would send a salad shortly. This place is awesome!!! The staff is amazing! I love Mountain Mike's, so we chose this one to enjoy a family gathering for my grandson after his birthday party because we were all starving. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. They greeted us with smiles and took great care of us, helping us order our pizza's just the way we wanted it. Tucked between "Recon Tattoos and Skate Shop" and "BZ Income Tax and Immigration Services", its dining room had 10 tables and booths, and numerous posters and blackboards with hundreds of menu items. We ordered 3 things, which were brought to our table in a few minutes. There was a sparse selection of bottled and canned beverages behind the counter, and there was a well-stocked serve-yourself "salsa bar" in a cooler along one wall. The order taker was helpful, a good communicator, and absolutely bilingual. He wanted our meal to be a success and took the time to make sure we were ordering what we wanted. They have a modern payment terminal that let me pay with my phone. The food we were served was tasty and well prepared with fresh ingredients. It was Baja style, which is not my favorite but which is so common around here that I am slowly learning to appreciate it (I prefer Michoacán or Jalisco style). I tried all of the salsa varieties, and they were all wonderful. My plastic fork and knife both broke while I was cutting food. They instantly provided replacements and some extra napkins, but I didn't enjoy such puny tableware or ridiculously tiny napkins. Mexican food can be messy, especially Baja style, and it seems to me that restaurants should provide the largest and most absorbent napkins they can offer and not something that resembles half-size Kleenex. If I should find myself in Fallbrook again I will eat here again, but it's not exactly on the way to anyplace I'm likely to be soon. The east gate of Camp Pendleton is a mile or two down Ammunition Road.

They were so sweet and welcoming - place was packed with regulars and they kindly made room for us upon arrival, asking a group of 3 to swap seats so that we could have the bigger booth. Already impressed. Their regulars were so kind as did not mind at all! Menu offered a variety of goodies for this bunch! Was tough to choose and then chips & salsa came and we inhaled them! Chips were fresh, crispy and perfectly salted! Salsa had a nice, roasted flavor - not spicy but so nice! It was a hot day and ended up ordering the OMG mango margarita and WOW! It was huge and perfect refresher smoothie feel with the tasty tangy-ness of the chamoy and tajin on the glass rim! Mmmm Food was given in abundance and so delicious! All of it! My parents loved their food and I was just glad I don't have to cook or clean. After looking at the pictures I took (and posted), I realized the plates look so similar which I found humorous. We order enchiladas, tacos, salad and a chili relleno. The chips and salsa were my favorite part while my family enjoyed their food. Service was good and fast. We arrived just as they opened (11am) and we ordered and our food came out pretty quickly and the food was super fresh. The rice and beans were good but don't really need all the extra cheese on it, I'd order again but ask for no extra cheese on top (personal preference). While my parents liked it that way, myself and my kids just took it off. Taste overall was good. I'm definitely going back to try other items on the menu and not driving so I can order an adult beverage.
