Please don't use them. They are a company that just wants you to spend more money. The tech that came out said our AC that was installed 4 years ago might not have been charged enough. It wasn't running at full capacity, he couldn't find a leak after looking, but the company wanted to charge us for a leak test. I gave push back that it shouldn't be on us to pay for the leak test because they didn't have any photos or notes to prove it was fully charged with refrigerant when installed. They wouldn't budge. We sent him home, also after paying him to "clean" our unit, we paid $250 for him to spray it off with our hose water. I thought he would be cleaning it with soap and water and taking it apart for the amount of money we paid for the cleaning. After a day they called and said they would do the leak test for free, but couldn't come out for a couple of days. I already had another company coming. This other company confirmed there was no leak and it was not fully charged when installed. So it was the fault of Mountain Home Services from the beginning. Even if we would have used the free leak test from Mountain Home Services they eventually offered, I cannot say for certain I would have trusted their "findings" and we wouldn't have been scammed to pay for something else. A few years ago we had them also come look at something electrical and they wanted to replace a whole electrical switch board for several grand. We had second opinions that told us we didn't need to get those done, there was just a little piece they needed to replace. Again quoted us for something because they thought they could get more money from us. read more

My AC went out Wednesday last week, I called mountain home services since we have a membership for maintenance. They came out on Thursday, they told me that they had to do a small simple repair. The repair seemed to work for the rest of the day. The next day in office the AC was not working again. I called them back out to figure out what was going on. Long story short they came out and wrote an expense quote for a repair. My company asked me to get a second opinion. The people who came out showed me extensive evidence that the previous technician from mountain home services had made a mistake which caused damage to the AC system. I brought this to mountain home services attention hoping they could make it right and they sent out another technician to look at the equipment. That technician did finally admit that the last tech had made a mistake, but still said they had to charge $900 to fix the damage the last technician had caused. I have photo proof that the technician had made a mistake as well as statements from other technicians, yet they refuse to do the repair for free. read more

We have had two major replacements / installs in the past year from Mountain Home Services. Both projects were amazing from the initial call, scheduling, quoting process, installs, and support. Their customer service and support exceeds expectations and is the best I have seen in this industry in over 20 years and three states we lived in and replaced similar systems. Last spring they relaced our heater / AC with new high efficiency Lennox units and today they replaced our two water heaters with Rheem units. Both installs were done professionally and their install staff are the best, brightest, respectful, and honest. Kudos to Nate who did our install today! Everyone is amazing to work with and the work they do is not the minimum of what is needed, but what will last the life of the systems. I know I can trust them and they have our back. Just had a new air conditioner and heater installed. Mine of 23 years gave out just before the hot months started. Total installation took about 5 hours. The two young men who installed the new units were hard workers and very pleasant to deal with. Too early to tell how the heater is working but I can say the air conditioner is working just fine. Mountain Home gives good service and it's nice to know that if anything goes wrong they are but a phone call away. I am a happy customer! read more

We contacted Mountain Home Services on Monday afternoon and were able to get an electrician the next morning. We have used Mountain Home Services (previously Master Electrical) for many years. We asked that they send Zach out for our service, which they did. Zach is the best electrician we have ever had. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. He installed three lights over our island and fixed two light switches that stopped working. Zach cleaned up everything behind him and left our home in the same condition he found it. Mountain Home Services installed our backup generator a few years ago. They did an expert job with a "clean" installation. One never thinks about it until it comes on as the power blinks out. We have run on this generator seven (7) times since its installation. We opted for the service plan which is a minor charge per month. It is well worth it. The respond quickly and have very knowledgeable technicians who always coordinate visits and are courteous during their visits. We just had our annual checkout where the oil and filter (among other things) are changed. During a test run, we noticed a light flicker with the RPM of the generator - not seen before. The technicians were attentive and took some on-site diagnostic data to take back to the office and contact the manufacturer. I am sure this will be quickly resolved. These have been folks to work with. read more

I've been a MHS customer and the previous company for about 6-7 years. They've always been a solid 5 and 100% recommend. My recent experience and the complete lack of communication over their canceling my appointment changes things. I was scheduled for an appt on Friday, 11/21/25, between 12 and 5. I received a phone call at 9:09 AM which I didn't know about until 12:30 PM. I checked my phone for a "We're coming" message as they usually do and noticed the missed call. MHS did not leave a message telling me the appointment was cancelled, nor did they try to call me again. Had I not checked, I would've been waiting them to show up as promised. I called and asked why they called me. That's when I was told they canceled my appointment. I was fairly peeved because I took off work. I asked for a supervisor to call me. By 4PM, still no call from MHS. I called again and requested a return call from a supervisor. MHS failed to called me. Now I'm here, venting, hoping MHS will see this and do something positive. This is completely antithetical to my past experiences with MHS. I'm now rescheduled for 12/5 between 12-2. They offered an appointment Friday after Thanksgiving, but who wants to do that on a day off? Depending on MHS's response, either to this review or a hoped-for phone call I may rewrite this a bit less harshly or go full nuke on them. read more

After I quit them for a fabulous alternative, who closed his business last year, I tried MHS again and today they did not show up and had not even registered the appointment we set up on Jan 31.
