I had a really disappointing experience here. As I was going to show the bouncer my ID, I briefly…read moretripped. I had been drinking, but I was completely coherent, able to communicate normally, and was not slurring my words, falling over, or behaving disorderly. Despite this, the bouncer immediately assumed I was too intoxicated to enter and refused me entry. What really bothered me was the way the situation was handled. The bouncer grabbed my arm and physically escorted me away from the entrance in a way that felt unnecessarily aggressive and humiliating. I understand that bouncers have a responsibility to make judgment calls about intoxication and safety and I have no issue with being denied entry if they genuinely believe someone is too intoxicated. There is, however, a respectful way to handle these situations. What made the experience even more upsetting was what he said to my friend afterward. He told him that they "don't allow people like her in here." I understand he may have been referring to my level of intoxication, but that wording was extremely inappropriate. As someone who is half Asian, I found the comment particularly concerning and it honestly felt discriminatory regardless of what his intent was. I left feeling extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed by the way I was treated. Being denied entry is one thing, being treated disrespectfully and spoken about in that way is another. Unfortunately based on this experience I would not feel comfortable returning.

OK, this is the Asheville beer garden ... but I gotta see. I didn't see anything relating to a…read moregarden whatsoever. There was no grass no trees no bushes no wildlife running around so in strictest form it wasn't really a garden. What are the nicest things about the place for serving Christian? Serve me tonight and she was such a sweetheart. She just smiled and she was just a wonderful soul. I could tell the beer was pretty good. Actually they breathe their own stuff here and I had a couple of IPAs the hazy IPA I guess was my favorite fruit Ford 6.5% ABV about a 45 IBU and they have TVs everywhere I was able to watch the Carolina Tar Heels. Play Clemson today. They've got pool tables. They've got all kind of games so you have a lot of TVs and it's breezy. They have a big fan on and the fan feels really good. Plenty of tables. It's a cool place if you're in Asheville and if you like bruise, you gotta stop by ask for Christian as your waitress

Food, beer and service are all still good here, but still not rising to the 5 level. They have…read moreadded some new menu items, including a quite good chicken tandoori gyro/wrap and a chipotle chicken Philly. The sauces for both (especially the tandoori) could be a little bolder, but overall they're nice additions to the menu. Their regular fries were good before, but if anything they've gotten even better.
