Even though I chose a weekend to travel that the Giants were away, and therefore there was no home game for me at 10 I could not resist the urge to see how JJ McCarthy's first start was going to go. Fortunately, the technology in this age is required about 30 seconds or less of investigation to find that this place likely to have a TV that would play my game. I thought going to the bar was a safe that they have a lot of TVs at the bar however it felt like they were playing every game except for my game. The bartender kindly recommended that we ask the host to see us somewhere where my game was playing, and it turns out there was a TV with my game in the very front corner of the room (kinda nasty). They literally had the jets on two TVs. The JETS. I'm trying not to hold a grudge. They shot us right underneath the TV so we were able to see it, but it required a lot of craning of the neck so I will be sending any medical bills I accrue back to this place for compensation This place I would say doesn't have a impressively thorough draft menu but they have a decent draft menu and I was able to find something that was actually very good. Within a couple hours, I started getting a little bit hungry so we ordered the nachos which I've not had in a minute and I was pleased buy the quantity of topping. This place doesn't do that annoying thing where they give you like a pile of chips but only put toppings on the top. I could tell they kind of layer that shit which made it so much better I really appreciated that. They were also so much to eat for two people basically was like a meal. Service was also really really good. Our server was awesome. Very nice and she kept coming over to make sure that we were doing ok we didn't have to wait for anything. It was a very nailbiting close game, but the Giants ended up winning so I may need to come back here for all games in the future. American Airlines would probably like that. read more

Actually they breathe their own stuff here and I had a couple of IPAs the hazy IPA I guess was my favorite fruit Ford 6.5% ABV about a 45 IBU and they have TVs everywhere I was able to watch the Carolina Tar Heels. Play Clemson today. They've got pool tables. They've got all kind of games so you have a lot of TVs and it's breezy. They have a big fan on and the fan feels really good. Plenty of tables. Food, beer and service are all still good here, but still not rising to the 5 level. They have added some new menu items, including a quite good chicken tandoori gyro/wrap and a chipotle chicken Philly. The sauces for both (especially the tandoori) could be a little bolder, but overall they're nice additions to the menu. The meh: - personally, the food was nothing to write home about. Every year my wife and I visit her. e on Championship night of the SoCon Basketball Tournament and this year it was no different . The atmosphere is great the food was great and the local beer selection is amazing. I get the fish and chips with onion rings and it is always good and my wife ate the burger and she said it was one of the best that she has had in the Asheville area. We have also had the French dip and the wings and they are all great. This is our 5th year in a row and next year will be our 6th so we will be back. Also the service is really great ! read more

How could anyone give this place a bad review??? It's severely underrated! We were in the area of downtown Asheville visiting. The main drag was packed with 2 plus hour waits. We kept exploring and stumbled upon the Bier Garden. Several people arrived at the same time we did. The service was not bothered. They attended to us quickly and with a smile. Our server Fran was super friendly and helpful. We ordered the pork belly bites as an app, the Reuben and the bratwurst sandwiches. The fries and onion rings were really good too! The restaurant was very authentic and I don't normally include the restrooms on my reviews but they were clean and smelled good. I highly recommend you move off the beaten path and give them a try. These folks are amazing. We arrived at our hotel in Asheville, NC around 9:30pm. We were hungry, tired from driving, and we're told by hotel staff their restaurant would still be opened and serving until 10pm. Unfortunately the chef and staff decided to close the hotel restaurant right as we got there. So our restaurant quest began for the evening. Being a week day, most local restaurants were closing early as well. We we're told to check out the Bier Garden to see if they were still serving. We walked down the street to it, and when we got there the bartender told us their kitchen had just closed as well. As we began to head back to our hotel, one of their employees, Nathan grabbed us and said, "Don't leave just yet, let me take your order, check with my manager in the back, and we'll take care of you. Meanwhile, go up to the bar and let them know I'll start your tab. You can sit wherever you want" ... and sure enough they took care of us. I'm not sure Nathan's position at the restaurant, but he's definitely managerial quality, and his quality of customer service is rare today. I do highly recommend this place. The food is great and the staff is thoughtful and accommodating. We give a shout out to Katie behind the bar as well. Good food and good service. Highly recommend. read more

It's a solid experience. The food was decent and the inside was just like a sports bar. The burger was perfectly cooked to order (though my sweet potato fries were a bit soggy - almost like they were microwaved) but my husband and son enjoyed their meal. MY sister and I ate here and we both ordered their fish & chips and a local Asheville Brewing Perfect Day IPA ($3.00 pints, can't be beat!). The fish was beer battered and not overly deep fried like some places where it is too crispy. The fries were nice and golden fried too. We asked for malt vinegar because that is the way to go with fish and chips. Definitely a good place to visit in Asheville after a visit to the Biltmore. We walked in and waited 6+ minutes to be acknowledged, hostess' told my wife to talk to the bartender to be seated, bartender told me to talk to the hostesses' to get serviced, it felt as if they didn't want our money which was crazy since the place was dead. ( 2 other tables / bar guests). Once we finally got settled the waitress took care of us and the guy servicing the pool table was awesome. They really salvaged the experience but a terrible first impression. We had a great time and the restaurant itself presented very well. I loved all of the TV's so no matter where you sat you could see the game. The food was ok and the drinks were good. A few people on the waitstaff were SO unprofessional. I understand a restaurant is not a "professional" setting but they need to dress better. I personally don't care what you wear, however one person on waitstaff was wearing spaghetti straps. They waited on the table next to us and I was so glad it wasn't our server. Every time this person reached in with a plate of food it was such a turn off. If you work around food, you need at the very least, short sleeves. I don't need someone's exposed armpit near my food. Our server was very sweet, and I was thankful we had her. I'm not someone that leaves reviews, but this restaurant has potential and improvements with dress for hygiene is needed. read more
