A scarce few cotton pieces with dyeing errors are on the racks, but even those must be lined dried. The mark-up looks about 500%. Can't we do better? Must we drive two hours for well-made clothes that don't need line-drying and will last beyond four washings? And for any of us who are ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE CONSUMERS, these are exactly the clothing choices we should avoid, in favor of durable natural materials. We would like better options.

Every time I walk into this shop (which is fairly often) I'm always blown away by the custom work they have going on and how excited the guys are about what they're working on. What makes me different from most folks that go to this shop is I'm a Harley guy. I can say without question that Chris and Josh are comfortable and confident working on any make of motorcycle. I trusted them to work on my Sportster and I trust them now to work on my Road King. When you drop your bike off for work you'll always have a good idea on what it's going to cost. These guys are great at quoting an estimate and follow through with great communication should they discover something else that might need attention. They'll never do any work without finding out if you actually want it done. These are stand up honest guys doing something that they love to do. Just stop by the shop sometime and have a conversation with these guys. If their genuine enthusiasm, passion and positive attitudes don't win you over....you should probably find another shop.

Our experience was disappointing. We had to have the patience of saints to get the owner to be…read morehelpful about making any effort to fix the mistake the shop made. When we asked that the loose slip of information on the back of the poster be attached to the back of it after being mounted in the frame, the owner said they do that routinely, so not to worry. We even heard her instruct the employee putting the measurements in the computer to include that the slip should be attached to the finished back of the frame. We saw him enter that request, so we were confident they would follow the instructions. Except they didn't include our item, and didn't return it to us, and they still can't find that slip of information, which must have been discarded. Instead, they attached a colorful sticker identifying the shop, and also a sticker about the special glass. We stopped by last week to inquire the status, because we hadn't heard back in over a month. The owner was ever so breezy about how she'd just have a look in the workshop to find the item, as if it was a trivial matter, but after 10 minutes she still hadn't returned, so we left after providing our phone number yet again to an employee. Finally, someone called today to say that the owner found some information for us online and will mail it to us. It's a small printout about the image. It's a nice gesture. It would have been nicer if the owner had expressed her regret for what happened, and if she had given us her assurance that this wouldn't happen again, and if she had explained how it is they included their own material on the back of the poster, but not ours. The employees in the front of the store are particularly pleasant and helpful, so I am surprised the owner wasn't more solicitous. Please think twice about handing this shop any provenance about your artwork. If the owner simply had apologized for the mistake, we might have been inclined to give the shop the benefit of the doubt in the future. But without having received an acknowledgement that they are sorry this happened, we will take our framing elsewhere. We will miss the shop's great selection of unique greeting cards, but feel we should shift our shopping elsewhere.

Dear Dollar Store,…read more As far as Dollar Stores go, you are one of the best. You have a nice, quality selection of kitchen stuff - including plastic storage containers. You also have a good selection of holiday decorations and party favors. There is always something of a questionable nature that can be given as a gag gift and you manage to suck me in with your brand-name candies as well. You could have warned me that the NY Knicks plastic cup I bought was cracked at the register...but I suppose that it's in your favor to leave me out-of-the-loop so that I get stuck with a leaky cup and you don't have to let me exhange per your "all sales final" policy. I want my $1.05 back! Also, please note that we did figure out that trash bags were only a dollar because there are only 4 per package. That's lame. At least make it somewhat worth the dollar by putting like, 10 in there. I think it would boost sales of trash bags. I'll forgive those transgressions as I have to come back to buy my holiday wrap and get my 2 for 1 giant gift bags. And grab some travel size shampoos and body washes. So, for now, we remain friends. But remember, I'm watching you. Best always, Mindy L.

I visited this shop early on a Saturday morning. I had gotten a tune-up at a bicycle shop in the Greater Boston area in preparation of cycling Vermont Route 100, and picked up my bike on Friday night (the night before I planned to leave). When I brought it home (and after the shop had closed) I found that my bike's chain was making noise in certain gears. I tinkered around with the derailleur to try to fix the problem, but to no avail. I feared that my Vermont trip would have to be cancelled. I decided to try to find a shop in Brattleboro, my planned starting point, and selected this one because it opened the earliest. I visited there early on Saturday, explained the issue, and immediately was introduced to a mechanic (I asked for his name but have since forgotten it, unfortunately). He kindly and patiently explained what he was doing as he went through his evaluation to diagnose the issue, and invited me to stand alongside him to watch and learn. Within minutes, he deduced that the height of the derailleur was incorrectly adjusted by the previous mechanic, causing the chain to rub in high gear. He made the correct adjustment and it worked perfectly. Amazingly, he didn't even want to charge me more than $10, although I insisted on giving him that and then some for his help (and for basically saving my trip). I love cycling, but I know that visiting bicycle shops can be a frustrating process. Many bicycle mechanics seem to delight in making the customer feel ignorant. Here, the mechanic was not only skilled and instructive, but he was completely without pretension. It is a shame that I live more than two hours away from this shop, or it would be my default for repairs. As it turned out, the mechanic's adjustment on a Saturday morning ended up saving my cycling trip, and the bicycle has functioned perfectly since.
