Went during regular business hours and door was locked. Lights appeared to be off as well.

Toys and stuff, yay!…read more This place was a joy to browse in, and definitely worth a look if you're in the area. The cabinets on all the walls are full of toys, oddities, and apparel from all over the world. There's a room for coats and clothes, a small but nice selection of furry slippers and shoes, and there's a lovely table right in the middle with all kinds of jewelry, rings, bracelets, etc. There's a whole room in the back dedicated to South American stuff as well. My favorite part? The toys of course! Right when you enter the store, you're greeted by a cheery standing rack full of cuddly, furry animal hand puppets of all kinds, that just call out to be tried on and played with. Further in the back there are racks of respective finger puppets, and shelves full of pretty little beaded and wooden figures - both doll house types and these awesome string-controlled wooden puppets (not quite marionettes, since they're controlled from underneath). There was this awesome pair of scissors shaped like a bird, with the blades in the shape of a beak. I wish I had taken a picture of it, but oh well. Overall, the prices are very reasonable, especially some of the coats and clothing. Some of the small toys were a little too high in my opinion though. I mean, who in their right mind wants to pay five bucks for a tiny wooden flowerpot smaller than a pinky joint? Come on. The jewelry was very affordable though, and I bought myself a pretty silver ring as a souvenir for five bucks. Five bucks, you say? Aw shucks, I coulda gotten that flowerpot.

Still i think that the value of purchasing items that are from this location out weight the prices. Set in downtown Peterborough next to the Sharon Art center this location couldn't be better for this store. I equate this location to a 10,000 villages which I have come to love over the years. I would say best for there selection in jewelry, i don't see a ton of people paying their prices for clothing.

I called the day before as the only web listing to this business was through Facebook. The answering machine gave me a fast idea of hours. I finaly came across a web site though Facebook. Well the answering machine and website had different hours. I ended up messaging them through Facebook to clairify the hours. Following morning I got there some twenty minutes after they were suppose to open. CLOSED. No note on the door about running late just CLOSED. I messaged them again... here some 6hours later no reply back. Not impressed. The only reason I can see for not opening when listed, is they must have really high prices to afford not to open one advertised. Parking is not the easiest. It is at a busy intersection with on street parking. I highly recommend making the drive to some big name store where you know they will be open and not hold hours of convenience.

I was very very uncomfortable to find what I believe is the owners adolescent grandSON lurking in the store with his mother. There was NO WAY I was going to have a fitting with a teen boy in the room. I thought to make an appt and perhaps have privacy but the owner has no clue how uncomfortable the situation is. A reality check is in order. I realize it is summer but that young man's presence was an absolute deal breaker. Why isn't he out goofing with his friends instead of hanging with mom at the bra store? Really really weird. The lack of insight may keep me away in perpetuity.

Every day, as I sat at my desk, the wires dug into my rib cage. And so I walked into town and found Underneath It All, which is a lingerie shop of the same quality and scope as my favorite, The Towne Shoppe, in NY! The owner worked with me for over an hour, helping me figure out my new size, and figure out a selection of gorgeous, comfortable bras for different uses (two t-shirt, two lower cut lace bras, etc.). I'm a weird, difficult size--30F--but she was able to pull tons of stuff that fit me perfectly. I loved this shop so much, I would travel here from Boston for bras! Honestly!

I saw that Surell sells similar earmuffs - so I wrote them asking if they could look at my earmuffs and see if they could be repaired. They were able to repair them! They were concerned that I would be unhappy with the result since they had to put a new band on them and use different size rings, and emailed me for permission before altering anything. They mailed them back to me very quickly and they're good as new! I am so glad that I can keep my earmuffs since they match my coat and are very warm. I would definitely shop here for any new winter accessories or gifts that I need in the future. True attention to quality and detail and awesome customer service!

They are so comfortable, and I just didn't expect to find SHOES here. Also I noticed Princess Kate was wearing a fur hat recently that looks just like a black fur beret at this store. Though the staff is of course what makes any visit a good one. I didn't spend a LOT, but I love what I got and I will be BACK. I bought a lovely vintage Keene Cracker box (I like local history), and also a stoneware container I plan to use for my paint brushes. The owner knew all the history of what I was purchasing, and was more than glad to talk about anything in the store. Or just where you are from and what you like to collect. NOT a store for tiny hands, but for adults, a store full of things you won't find elsewhere. Also, small budget, unlike many fancy antique shops, you'll find a welcome here no matter if you are buying something inexpensive or pricy. The owner WELCOMES you into the store, not "Do you really KNOW ANTIQUES?" (he's glad to help educate you). I've never spent so little, and been treated SO WELL, in an antique shop. Also incredible vintage art in frames to die for, at incredible prices. The frames alone were worth more than being asked. (Have you framed something new lately?) Plan to go BACK and get myself a painting in a beautiful vintage frame for my birthday!
