Where can you find golden milk! We will be back. Since we were in the Marketplace in Northampton, we discovered the Olive Oil vendor across from the cafe, and decided to do a tasting. We were treated with such hospitality, that what started as a whim, became a purchase. We actually loved the tastings of both the oils and balsamic vinegars, and decided to take advantage of the special so we got a bargain. I opted for the fig balsamic--my fav, and for the tasting, was delighted. It isn't as sweet as the ones I've had before, but it is acceptable. I do think I should try some others. We really enjoyed the shopping, tasting, and European feel of the whole Marketplace environment. It is a treat.

What service? I…read morewalked in and no one was there. And I looked through the racks for over 20 minutes! For a $$$ consignment store, the clothes weren't really organized by size. There were sections for S,M,L,XL & plus size, but the majority of the labels were faded or not on the clothes; this is normal. But the sizes weren't written on the price tags anywhere. I understand if the store is busy and there are sizes mixed in a good amount. I understand if Ms are mixed in with Ls because that's the way they fit, because that benefits the customer. I'm a true medium and there was nothing I could wear that I would even consider trying on. It's May, and the majority of the inventory is for winter. Who wears a nice pair of leather pants when it's 70+ degrees out except a rock star? I don't know anyone who would wear a gorgeous heavy sheepskin coat now. Maybe if they were in a posh frozen vodka and caviar bar in NYC? Yes, they have bathing suits. But I don't shop for resale bathing suits or underwear. If you're petite don't even think about walking through the door. A good majority of the nicest clothes are long gowns. I was so miffed that I'm in my car writing this review now. Fortunately it's Sunday, so I didn't have to feed the meter. Btw, parking tickets in Northampton are expensive. In conclusion, I'd rather drop a month's salary at a full price boutique with a nice sales person who helps me find something that fits and flatters me. The only plus side is they have a lot of plus size clothing.

Go! go.  Pricing was fairly high for...well, everything in the store. Yes, most transactions at this store require a 50 dollar bill or larger. (But not all things, Harriet. For instance; one Mitchell & Ness MLB Los Angeles Dodgers Logo Dad Hat is only $35, before taxation.) The staff was staffing and such. Like, I saw them around -- but idk if they were in the mood to chat + mix n mingle. The store also sells kewl things that are kewl n retro -- like a Dr. Dre record. Because I'm job hunting and…read moreneeded to find some interview clothing that fits since I've lost some weight, I decided to look at a few spots in fashionable downtown Northampton after attending an appointment I had there. I was parked near King and Pleasant Streets, and so I ducked into Talbots and Eileen Fisher. I know Talbots isn't cheap, but I did get a bit of sticker shock when I checked the price on a cute jacket at Eileen Fisher. It was just under $400 - way out of my budget. I think of Roz's Place as carrying fun clothing, but I looked in, anyway. Wouldn't you know, I found a pair of very versatile checked pants by Eileen Fisher that I nearly stole at a price of just $15. I had a nice chat with the woman who was on staff. I complimented the buyer/buyers on curating an interesting range of items, and she had favorable things to say about them, too. All in all, it was a very pleasant visit, and I'll keep stopping back when I find that next great job and can work on my wardrobe.

I once bought a 1980's dress that I found buried in the $5 suitcase they keep outside. Washed it, tailored it a bit and got so many compliments on it. I also got this retro style skirt that is so unique, and I also get complimented on when I wear it. You can find things here that are distinctly unique and you wont find anywhere else.

They get seconds from local retailers and discount name brand clothing from mall stores...Oh deals and steals. A foodie-girlie-dreamland. They recently opened a second location down the street from their original place. The original store now functions as a clothes and shoes only location, and there is even more space for the deals in the new store. If you're visiting the town, its worth going - when do you NOT need organic toaster pastries? Tons of Terra and Kettle Chips? Road Food!

It is so much easier to navigate through things when the inventory is limited and well placed. This place took me back in time to the 80s and 90s. There was so much great denim from that time. I found this great denim jacket, with embellishments, but I do wish it was a bit longer. There are formal dresses, casual things, cashmere sweaters, shoes, jewelry, accessories. Everything is appropriately priced. It is clean, non smelly, organized, frequently updated, inviting, with friendly staff. I'd for sure visit this store again.
