I enjoyed browsing here and even tried in some tops and dresses but was surprised that a lot of the styles were very oversized. I normally wear a L or XL in tops but everything here that was L or XL was too big on me. The Ms were nowhere to be found and I tried on a sweatshirt in a small that surprisingly fit but looked awkward from the side. So, it was a miss for me this time but I'll definitely come back here. Just one person was working in the store which was inconvenient in that she could not both cash people out and check folks into the locked dressing rooms. Still, since the store wasn't super busy it was not a major issue.

In addition, the Staff were not welcoming or even helpful. They seem preoccupied. As a consignor: I consigned a nice designer girl's size 6 dress that had a lovely sash that was an integral part of the dress design. Later, I was told the dress did not sell because the "sash was lost." It would have been nice to have heard, "Sorry, but we can't control theft." No, the dress was briskly handed back to me, and the owner (?) quickly walked away.

First, the store is large, handsomely laid out, and conveys the (correct) impression of high quality. I was approached by two salespeople who were very nice and very helpful. It pretty much screams high quality by your shopping experience. The items I selected were full price, and not inexpensive, but were clearly well made. At check out they were carefully wrapped and placed in a shopping bag (kudos for not appearing to charge for the bag and for not using plastic.) I would go back here in a moment. Factoring the dirth of high quality options in the Albany area it's nice to have this here.

Not the right store for dress shirts. Then we stopped by Banana Republic, and I was excited to see that I had options. I ended up getting the darker blue shirt. From the moment we walked in, we received excellent service. The salesperson recommended several shirts, unwrapped them for me, waited patiently while we thought about it, and then the cashier rang us up, and nicely folded the shirt. They have frequent sales and participate in the same rewards program as Athleta, so as long as you're not paying retail, the prices are very fair for what you get.
