Upon entering your establishment last night, I immediately noticed a staff member, later identified as Ms. Anne, demonstrating remarkable customer service. She was attentively engaged with another patron, exhibiting profound empathy and clear communication. Her approach was not merely efficient but deeply caring, leaving a visibly positive impression. As I navigated the store, I continued to observe Ms. Anne interacting with various customers. Her unwavering positivity and evident passion for her work were palpable, confirming her status as a cherished presence among shoppers. Later, while I paused, momentarily contemplating my next move, Ms. Anne approached me. With a welcoming smile and an open heart, she inquired if I needed assistance, showing genuine concern. Our subsequent brief, delightful conversation, which included a light-hearted exchange about future aspirations, revealed her identity. I learned that Ms. Anne is a front-line manager who has dedicated an impressive 30 years of her career to Walmart, and she anticipates retiring from the company. Ms. Anne embodies the pinnacle of customer service. Her ability to forge meaningful connections, her steadfast dedication, and her consistently cheerful demeanor are truly inspiring. Employees of Ms. Anne's caliber are invaluable assets, cultivating customer loyalty and elevating the overall shopping experience. It is my earnest hope that Walmart will acknowledge Ms. Anne's profound contributions. After three decades of exemplary service, she merits recognition that extends beyond the ordinary. I strongly advocate for a retirement package, perhaps a comprehensive pension, that ensures her comfort and reflects the immense value she has brought to your organization. Her enduring commitment speaks volumes, demonstrating that her choice to build a career with Walmart has been a source of deep pride, and she should be honored accordingly. I am profoundly grateful for my encounter with Ms. Anne, whose perfect personality left an indelible mark.

Well I have been shopping at this Costco for awhile now and I never had an issue until today. I am…read morea disabled veteran and I have a service dog due to my military injuries. I bring her everywhere I go she's very intuitive and aware of how I'm feeling and is always protective. Well I brought her in Costco with me because I have been able to do so BUT NOT TODAY. I met a manager there named Shantel and she denied my service dog entry because she determined with her expertise that my service dog "was not acting like a service dog" according to her. But she failed to realize my service dog was backing up to me and having to account for each person coming and going and with Shantel approaching me she was having to focus on a lot of things going on. I think all entrances of Costco have well over 100 people per hour come through and it's fair to say a dog that is trained to protect and to be aware of its surroundings and having an owner with disabilities it might be a very active moment for the dog regardless of their age or how well they are trained. Onyxx is not the best service dog on the world or like a military or police dog but she helps and does a good job. But to be denied entry due to what someone who has no real experience or is legally able to determine what is or isn't a service dog is unreal. No I do not put my dog in a "service dog vest" or have a "service dog" little patch on her but my disabled veteran military ID should suffice enough. I did call Costco corporate and submitted a formal complaint because there is no real signage posted or anything anywhere to set a standard of what is required for entry for a service dog. I don't know if I need to carry around my military VA paperwork to prove I need a service dog.... It really shouldn't be an issue. Onyxx was not lunging at anyone or barking. She was just accounting for anyone approaching or around to determine a threat or made me uncomfortable. She immediately saw no one is a threat or poses as a threat and can instantly make that determination. If anything she just sniffed someone like any dog does. She is almost 2 years old so there will be lapses. Shes a giant schnauzer it's a very intelligent breed known to be service dogs. Anyways, I am attaching Google AI search of Alexandria, VA laws about service dogs for others to know their rights for your ADA dog. So that hopefully Shantel and other employees of Costco can know. Hope things improve I'll be back next week with Onyxx to see if anything has changed. Shantel clearly doesn't know she's not legally allowed to deny a service dog due to her own opinion that my service dog "is not acting like a service dog" nor is Onyxx required to wear a "service dog vest" nor am I legally required to provide any documentation. In essence she called a military veteran a liar even after I told her I'm a disabled veteran and this is my service dog.
