I'm glad the &pizza is here now, and always have liked Total Wine and More. Just as many do, sometimes it's good to have a beer and cigar. They both are sold at Total Wine. Staples and GameStop serve a purpose. AAA is good for people whom enjoy them, and Chuckie Cheese could be hell on earth. Einstein can be a pleasant treat, and the Trader Joe's will always be mobbed. There are 20 shops in the strip mall section.  Einstein Bros Bagels (#21) is off by itself in the corner of Pickett Road & Main Street, to the SW, opposite AAA. Staples is either setting up to open or already closed.  It's next to Total Wine.  There's only office furniture in there now. Stores, from the west, off Pickett Rd: 1. Cheese's 20. AAA Car Care During fall, my favorite time of the year, Pickett Shopping Center has a Pumpkin Patch set up in the large parking area across from AAA, facing Main Street. There are lots of large, medium, small, & mini orange and white pumpkins to choose from.  There are a plethora of squash & corn husks in various shapes, sizes & colors to adorn your home or office in colorful autumn fashion.  Cute scarecrows, scary witches, as well as other fall and Halloween decorations, are also displayed around the Pumpkin Patch station where you pay for your items.  The Patch isn't set up yet, as of 3 Oct, probably due to Hurricane Joaquin's and the Nor'easter's unpleasant dreary, heavy rains & flooding this weekend.  I can't wait for them to set it up so Oct, my favorite month in my favorite season, will have some added fun & pizazz! This is your basic strip mall located in Bailey's Crossroads aka Falls Church, VA. There is also an Amazon Fresh as well as a few other smaller miscellaneous stores. Easy to get in and out of from either Route 7/Leesburg Pike or from Columbia Pike. Parking is ample and easy to navigate as well but could be better lit at night. All in all a decent little strip mall.

Do be careful when on foot, as for whatever reason a lot of aggressive drivers. That's in a lot of places though. For the basics this shopping center works.

There's only two stores worthy of putting my vehicle in park at this location. That would be Music and Arts, and also the Russian gourmet. The light store and others aren't anything spectacular. I wish they'd update the look. Also some good retailers would help. The markings of the parking lot aren't sufficient. In many ways this reminds me of the former Soviet Union. To each their own, but be wary of the fast drivers that Mclean is famous for. I rarely go here, and am happy other spots have better choices.

Leaving here with the light on Rolling Road, by all means buckle up and pay attention. There are a lot of traffic accidents here. Too many busy side streets. And sometimes we'll eat at one of the restaurants. Then we head over to PetSmart to look at cute animals and purchase goodies for our cat and dog. Then we head into Target for household supplies and some groceries. And then go to Shoppers and get all the rest of our groceries. In short, we literally can spend an entire day at this shopping center. So yeah, that's the kind of convenience you just can't find often.

"Making Shoppers Into Criminals to Make Profits"…read more Have shopped there regularly for 20 years, however, just had a very terrible experience: after patronizing stores in the mall one morning (and I had the receipts to prove it), I walked to a neighboring business adjoining the mall and came back mere minutes later to find my car towed. The impound lot was on the other side of the city, very far away, and I was left stranded, with shopping items in my hands and no way to get home. The selection here is pedestrian. The value is like everywhere else in the U.S., over priced. (The last two sentences are presented to meet Yelp review criteria. And now on with our story.) I returned later in the day to look for signage indicating anyone leaving the mall's premises to frequent adjacent businesses would be towed. I had parked in a large expanse of the mall in which no signs with that warning were visible. And obviously, they have vulture tow truck drivers, sitting, watching. Any buzzard grabbing my vehicle would have seen from the groceries in the car that no one had wandered away to take a tour of D.C. or to board an airplane at Reagan Airport. When you get to the impound lot, they then fleece you, admonishing you that you knowingly left the parking lot in violation of the rules. You didn't encounter any signs? You must have not looked hard enough. There were no signs where you parked? They can't afford to put the signs all over the place. Etc. They rehearsed all of their comebacks. They've heard it all before. Scum, and I will shop in the same stores located on Richmond Highway outside the Beltway from now on. The selection and value offered at Potomac Yard is no greater or less than what is offered at the Richmond Highway location I have just mentioned, and you won't risk being put through such an ordeal. I don't consider it to be a value to get raked over the coals. These are just opportunists, preying on innocent shoppers. And to what extent the shopping center is complicit in this robbery of patrons is anyone's guess.
