Cute park with a restroom and a city view. It is most famous for a beautiful tall gazebo. However, it also offers a small walking loop and some city views. It is a small park, but really pretty to see foliage. Not many benches here, but I usually have some camping chairs in the trunk to take with me. I would recommend this park for a quick picnic or just a walk. read more

Mount Storm Park is beautiful. I had never been here until the Yelp Festival of Fall Scavenger Hunt. I was shocked at what a beautiful park was right under my nose in Cincinnati. It rivals even parks in more remote areas. The entrance is marked with a beautiful stone sign and the park is located at the top of a long hill. There is a play set for kids and an enclosed area with tables to enjoy a snack. The Temple of Love Gazebo is beautiful and very romantic. There are restrooms available as well which is a big plus! There is a large amount of green area around so you can get some space to yourself if you enjoy a more quiet park trip. I can't believe what a gem we have right in the Clifton area. read more

I used to love going for a long run/walk when I lived in Clifton to Mount Storm Park. It's probably easiest to drive here, but if you're in the gaslight district on a nice day, it's a beautiful spot to walk (and you can admire the beautiful historic homes in the area along the way). Mount Storm Park is relatively small, but there's a walking path and some green space as well as a playground. I've never seen the park crowded, but there's usually walkers and people with their dogs strolling about. There is a restroom at the park in case nature calls (but I'm not sure if that's open year round). Overall, Mt Storm Park is a great spot for a quick stroll, to bring a picnic, or throw a frisbee. I definitely need to find an excuse to come visit again once it gets a bit warmer! read more

This has become a new go-to for us. It's close to my mom's house and has a great look-out over the neighborhood. My 19 month old loves the playground and seeing other people with their dogs. It's never been that geeky crowded, which is extra nice! read more

Mount Storm was definitely a surprise. We were looking for a nice park to take our dog for a walk and ended up finding a jewel of a place to go on a beautiful day. When we first pulled in on the long entrance road we realized that we were going up a hill but didn't know how far up we were until we reached the peak. And the peak is where the park is located. The location of this park delivers wonderful scenic views of the surround Cincinnati area. Being as this park is in the Gaslight District it is very safe and very maintained. There is a pavilion area where you can hold parties and cookouts and there sufficient trees around to layout or take a nap. The park also boasts a great play set so you can take the little ones along with you, or if you just wanna go back to your school days and climb on the monkey bars, I know I did. The only downfall of this park was that there weren't any water fountains, that I could see at least. But you can always use the bathroom. To sum up, if you are in the Clifton area and are looking for a great park this is your for sure bet to go to. read more

What a beautiful Cincinnati gem! Mt. Storm Park is only 10 minutes from my house so it's a convenient place to escape to. Although the park is located in the city (Clifton), once you get up there it actually feels like you've left the city. I love this place because less is more. You won't find trails or lots of frills but that's what I love about it. It's quiet and peaceful! They have a pavilion that's covered, benches that overlook the city, plenty of green space and a play area with swings, etc. for kids. If you're looking for a quiet place to escape to but need to stay in the city, Mt. Storm Park is the place! read more

Mt. Storm is a nice park with a small playground area, pavilion with bathrooms and a neat gazebo called the Temple of Love. There are no trails but there is a field for sports. The park has rolling hills and a wide view of the surrounding area. Great for large gatherings and picnics, or quiet time by yourself. The drive to the park is through a residential area on a side street that gets narrow-ish the closer you get to the park's entrance. read more

Wonderful park in the heart of Clifton! Located off Clifton Avenue down a winding road, Mt. Storm Park is a beautiful green space in the city. The park includes a sheltered picnic area with restrooms, a playground, a fantastic overlook with views of Clifton and the Mill Creek Valley, and an interesting piece of architecture called the Temple of Love gazebo. There is also a hill that I imagine would be awesome for sledding. The park itself is small, so don't expect too much. I recommend Mt. Storm Park for enjoying nature and the scenery, but not if you're looking for lots of activity. read more

We had our Potluck in the Park here last night and I've got to say this is one of the most beautiful and undiscovered parks in the city. I knew about it only after driving around and looking for apartments while in college at UC. What I found was a lush, beautiful garden almost. The landscaping of this park is very well kept. There is a play set for children, a huge shelter with a decent view of the city, and plenty of places for a summer picnic. What a lot of people don't know: The Temple of Love gazebo-pavilion is all that remains of Bowler's once grand homestead; it was designed in 1850 by Adolph Strauch, former supervisor of the Imperial Gardens in Vienna and designer of Spring Grove cemetery. In his magnificent home (razed in 1917) Bowler entertained the Prince of Wales, Charles Dickens and other 19th-century celebrities. (Taken from their website) How cool is that?! And they just refurbished it. It took them almost the entire summer last year, but now it's restored to it's natural beauty and is any photographer's dream! I once stood at the top of Mt. Storm Park after getting news a dear friend had passed away. I sobbed so hard and loud as I watched the sun set, I scared away at least three hand-holding couples. Gorgeous view from the top of the hill. Lots of dead/dying trees in the park right now. Not sure what that is about. I am a fan because I like to photograph dead trees. Probably because I am weird or something. The Temple of Love gazebo is a lovely place to sit and contemplate whatever. There is enough green space to safely fly a kite without getting it all tangled up in branches, as long as you don't fly too high. There is a fairly nice covered shelter at the top of the hill, and also restroom facilities. The garden area around the shelter is well maintained and contains a fair amount of lovely bright-colored flowers. There is a playground area with swings, which is one of my favorite things to do when going to the park. Gotta love that freeing feeling of being a kid again, even if it is somewhat fleeting. Nestled on top of the hill in Clifton, this park has beautiful views. I loved running to the top of the park when I lived in Clifton and now journey back for picnics with friends. Some amenities to keep in mind: -There are grills to use so bring something to cook and plenty of charcoal. -Bathrooms are in the building at the top and soccer fields are down the hill a bit. -If it rains, there are some covered picnic tables under the pavilion so if the weather seems sketchy, you will have a place to take cover, but do go when the weather is nice to get the full effect! I've seen deer grazing, plenty of birds and plenty of people taking their puppy dogs for a walk. Go at sunset (but keep in mind the park officially closes at 10pm) read more

Mt Storm Park will well impress with its vistas, its Temple of Love, and CCC stone pavilion. I lived in the Clifton area for years and cherish the times spent here. Its rather bizarre gazebo, the Temple of Love (see photo), its 1930s pavillion and views are all terrific. It's especially popular as a sledding site on snow days. I never knew this existed - it's very private and quiet. There really isn't much to this park. There's an area for sports and a little lookout area. There aren't any trails. There are bathrooms. It's a nice place to get some peace and quiet and there is a big tree that's kind of mesmerizing in the lookout area. read more

This has to be one of my favorite places to watch the sunset in Cincinnati in the stone pavilion. It's breath taking views of Cinci's rolling hills to west are the perfect spot for a romantic picnic, or just a relaxing evening of solitude. They were refinishing the love gazebo this summer, not sure if it is done yet, but it makes a great place to take a date for a low key afternoon. And if you like to sled this is definitely the spot for fun on snow days with it steep landscapes. read more

Mt. Storm Park is fairly small, with a soccer field and a few benches on top of a hill. In the summer, there are always a few deer hanging out all over the park. The main attraction here is the beautiful view of Cincinnati. This is my "turnaround point" on my jogs around Clifton, and I usually get here in time to see the sun setting. They also have bathrooms that are always open in the summer but for some reason they're closed after sunset now -- not sure what's up with that. Oh well, you can always go in the bushes next to a deer. Wooo! read more
