Great view of Cincinnati!
Ava W.

Was pleasantly surprised by this park. Walked here one afternoon and enjoyed the view of the city! There is a small basketball court, picnic tables, benches, and even a restroom I believe. A lot of people had hammocks hung from the building at this park. The park was pretty clean, could have been better. Overall, this park was very peaceful, but of course that could change with whatever crowd is there at the time.

On Sunday I went for a walk around the neighborhood and visited Bellevue Hill Park and Fairview Park. I visited Bellevue Hill Park several years ago when I got family pictures taken with my family over the Cincinnati skyline. The park has not changed much (at all?) since then. During my visit a couple groups of people came and went. One man was trying to describe to his young son how freeze-thaw works. I don't think he really understood, but he successfully said freeze-thaw. The park features a basketball hoop and a lot of open grass on the North end. The middle has a small building with restrooms and an interesting canopy structure that is very photogenic. The main attraction of the park is the view of downtown and Over-the-Rhine. The view is breathtaking. When I arrived I saw two people sitting on benches reading books in the dead of Winter just for the view. An older man stopped by in his car and listened to his radio while looking out at Cincinnati. The view can't be beat this side of the river in my opinion. You are so close to the city, you can see straight down Race Street in Over-the-Rhine. You can see Music Hall, Washington Park, skyscrapers, Union Terminal, and much more. The park is tucked away on Ohio Avenue after a "no outlet" sign, so some people may never know it is there without exploring or looking at a map. Great place to think, and it is usually not very crowded.

This park has a pretty interesting view of OTR and downtown Cincinnati. It's a small park that offers a swing set, playground area, basketball court, a walking path and benches to sit and relax on. If you come here, make sure you take in the view and the neat architecture of the park's pavilion and canopy.

Bellevue Hill Park offers a scenic views of OTR and downtown Cincinnati. I was intrigued to visit this park after 3 Doors down filmed part of their music video "Its Not My Time" in this location. The shelter in the park plays homage to architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. There is also a small playground for children. The park is located at the end of Ohio street. It's definitely a destination park. The day I visited, there was a lone couple eating lunch at one the benches overlooking the city. So, for a relatively quiet location with beautiful views of the city I recommend you checkout Bellevue Hill Park

Beautiful view above the city.

such a fun and gorgeous little secret! Bellevue park has one of the prettiest views of downtown that you'll find, and it never seems to get very busy because it's so hidden away! There's a beautiful little covered area, though you'll sometimes find rowdy teens on top of it, and some lovely landscaping to really set the scene. There's a big open area for dogs or kids to run around, along with a jungle gym and swing set along with a basketball court to keep everyone entertained. A few benches offer seating and a historical plaque explains the view and the city to curious onlookers. (Also, if you're into geocaching, there are a few cool ones here!)

A wonderful location to view the bustling activity along The Ohio River Trail, and a place to gather and celebrate as a community. The park boasts multiple water play features, giant swings, an interactive foot piano, an imaginative play area for kids, expansive pollinator gardens, and Carol Ann's Carousel. Several historical monuments can be found like the Black Brigade Monument and the recently dedicated Marian Spencer Statue. I was on a roadtrip and my family dropped me off in downtown Cincinnati and I gravitated to Smale Riverfront Park because I wanted a place to explore nature and see river views. I explored the scenic walkways along the Ohio, flower gardens, fountains, public art, picnic spots, and plenty of space to just chill. One of my favorite features were the riverfront swings, big, bench-style swings tucked along the water that are perfect for kicking back and enjoying the view. They're surprisingly comfortable and such a great spot to unwind and reconnect with your inner child. The park has amazing views of the Roebling Suspension Bridge and Ohio River are worth the visit on their own, the paths are wide and great for families, and there's lots to explore without feeling overcrowded. There are splash zones for kids, places to sit and picnic, and tons of photo ops.

The riverfront was very peaceful. The park was clean. I couldnt find how to access the ferry.read more
