Some of the best views of the city! If looking for a panoramic view from the Museum Center all the way to Mt. Adams, this is it. Frank Lloyd Wright's work was the inspiration for the pavilion behind the overlook. To the side, shaded by trees are a few picnic tables. A grassy slope infront of the Ransohoff Overlook is a nice place for a picnic. Though maybe a little steep to play. That being said, there are still plenty of places to play. Playground is newer. Great for kids who are into climbing. It is a little harder for smaller children. There is a swing set with two standard swings, one toddler swing, and a handicap swing. A paved path circles the park. There is a green space large enough to run around and play. Watch for dog poop. read more

The view of this park is AMAZING! I wish it had more benches so that more people could enjoy it sitting down. The upside, it's never too crowded. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a quick picnic for any takeouts around the area. Check it out! read more

Bellevue Park is a little park tucked off the main roads in Clifton. It used to be where the famous Bellevue House stood at the top of one of Cincinnati's historic inclines. The view of Cincinnati is amazing! It's not a very large park. There is the overlook on one side, a small parking lot, and a small field with a playset. The main attraction is definitely the view. If you like hilltop views of the city there are a handful of parks around the city that offer them, but you really see more of the city from this central location. It's a must see! read more

Was pleasantly surprised by this park. Walked here one afternoon and enjoyed the view of the city! There is a small basketball court, picnic tables, benches, and even a restroom I believe. A lot of people had hammocks hung from the building at this park. The park was pretty clean, could have been better. On Sunday I went for a walk around the neighborhood and visited Bellevue Hill Park and Fairview Park. I visited Bellevue Hill Park several years ago when I got family pictures taken with my family over the Cincinnati skyline. The park has not changed much (at all?) since then. During my visit a couple groups of people came and went. One man was trying to describe to his young son how freeze-thaw works. I don't think he really understood, but he successfully said freeze-thaw. The park features a basketball hoop and a lot of open grass on the North end. The middle has a small building with restrooms and an interesting canopy structure that is very photogenic. The main attraction of the park is the view of downtown and Over-the-Rhine. The view is breathtaking. When I arrived I saw two people sitting on benches reading books in the dead of Winter just for the view. An older man stopped by in his car and listened to his radio while looking out at Cincinnati. The view can't be beat this side of the river in my opinion. You are so close to the city, you can see straight down Race Street in Over-the-Rhine. You can see Music Hall, Washington Park, skyscrapers, Union Terminal, and much more. The park is tucked away on Ohio Avenue after a "no outlet" sign, so some people may never know it is there without exploring or looking at a map. Great place to think, and it is usually not very crowded. read more

Bellevue Hill Park offers a scenic views of OTR and downtown Cincinnati. I was intrigued to visit this park after 3 Doors down filmed part of their music video "Its Not My Time" in this location. The shelter in the park plays homage to architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. There is also a small playground for children. The park is located at the end of Ohio street. It's definitely a destination park. The day I visited, there was a lone couple eating lunch at one the benches overlooking the city. A simple park with a lovely view facing south towards downtown Cincinnati. It is also the spot for a few music videos and photoshoots. There is a small but adequate playground including some swings. and whatnot. Overall this park feels a little forgotten which can be nice since it is not as crowded as other park in the area. The info plaques are a nice touch so people can learn about the history of the area. This park was built during the mid 50's when outdoor dancing was the rage. The mushroom shaped pergolas were intended to have vines planted with it. This overlook is an ok spot for watching the downtown fireworks but not as great as other spots in the city, but it would be far removed from the traffic insanity. such a fun and gorgeous little secret! Bellevue park has one of the prettiest views of downtown that you'll find, and it never seems to get very busy because it's so hidden away! There's a beautiful little covered area, though you'll sometimes find rowdy teens on top of it, and some lovely landscaping to really set the scene. There's a big open area for dogs or kids to run around, along with a jungle gym and swing set along with a basketball court to keep everyone entertained. A few benches offer seating and a historical plaque explains the view and the city to curious onlookers. (Also, if you're into geocaching, there are a few cool ones here!) read more

Come here for the view. This park has one of the best views of Cincinnati. It's just a small park with an interesting pavilion design but it has a few benches facing towards downtown and the river. You can see all the rooftops in Over-the-Rhine, as well as Music Hall, and Union Terminal. I have sat here and enjoyed lunch with friends on a nice day multiple times. This is also usually a quick stop when I have out-of-town guests with me. It has a small parking area so it's a quick and easy great view. Sometimes I just pull up in the circle that goes right up to the edge and just step out for a quick viewing and a couple of pictures. There is usually a couple other people at the park when I have been there but it's never crowded.. read more

PARKING: -Small parking lot. You will see it immediately once you come up the hill to your right. Awesome little park near UC campus where you can see a good portion of downtown Cinci. It's absolutely wonderful during or after sunset. If you're on the bench and looking straight down into the city you will see OTR and the business district a little beyond that. To the left you will see the riverfront, the ballpark, football stadium, and Newport. To your right the Cincinnati Museum will be standing proudly. Holy crap!!! I went to the University of Cincinnati for four years and never even visited the park. Now, 3 years later, I finally visited. The view of the city is absolutely amazing and I don't even know that you can get a view of this side of the city from anywhere else. It's great place to just chill. We went there to watch the eclipse, but we didn't' plan very well because it was behind the trees. You could see the sun if you looked through the right trees, but it didn't matter since the eclipse was covered by fog anyways. Anyways, the point of that is to say that the best time to go is sunset. It's still light out, but the trees shade you from the heat and massive amounts of light. It's also kid friendly. I went with my friend and her son was occupied for a while by the playground and the other kids around! Overall - great place!!! read more

definitely a gym hidden in clifton. Its maybe .25 miles from the USquare area at the very end of Ohio St (pass the no outlet sign). Unlike most strolls in Clifton, walking here from campus doesn't require hiking up/down a big hill..more an extremely steady incline you hardly notice. The view is great- spanning from mt adams to union terminal. You can clearly see Washington Park and Findlay Market as well. I would say this view is the alternative side to the amazing cityscape you see driving in 71/75 from Kentuckky The park itself is small though there is decent sized patch of nice, flat grass perfect for a pick up football game or picnic. the overlook itself has a few benches. There is also what looked to be a new playground for children shaded by a big tree. read more

Love this park! The scenery is beautiful all year round. Its also a great place to play ball with friends or you may be asked to be included in a game. This is also a great place to visit at dusk or dawn to catch the sunrise or set. Please remember like anywhere you go be aware of your surroundings however this park is known to be frequent by Cincinnati finest :) read more

Awesome view! I came to Bellevue Hill Park in search of a skyline view of my favorite city on earth. This little outlook did not disappoint! It's a super small park at the end of a dead-end street that doesn't have too many amenities, just a few benches, a small playground and this shaded canopy structure. It's definitely a different vantage point of downtown Cincinnati - I think I've been to more spots to view the skyline from the other side of the river. We had fun pointing out our favorite spots in OTR and finding my office building downtown. read more

In addition to the magnificent view noted in Ryan L and Alexandra K's reviews, Belleview Hill Park also has a very nice playground area, with swings, 'spinners', and climber/slides in two sizes. There is also a fantastic climbing tree often filled with children. The grassy knoll in the south east corner of the park features picnic tables and built-in grills, and is popular with family groups celebrating birthdays and holidays. An adult football team practices on the field, as do Fairview-Clifton soccer teams, but most of the time, it's open to regular park visitors. One thing I love about this park is the diversity of people who come here to enjoy the view, toss a frisbee, grill out, walk a dog, jog, play, etc. read more
