We requested and scheduled a 6 night horse, spot camp trip with Diamond_4 outfitters for a…read morewilderness fly fishing trip in early July to the Pogo Agie wilderness south of Lander. A month before departure we had a medical upset, and gratefully, with a whole summers worth of time flexibility on both sides, Diamond_4 was able to reschedule the trip for end of the season in early September. Then a couple of weeks before departure Diamond_4 had a business upset and unilaterally rescheduled the trip dates. Given the short notice at the season's end, there was no time flexibility due to other obligations and approaching seasonal snow storms. The short notice, rescheduled trip window was only 5 days. With no accommodations, reconciliation, or reparations forth coming from Diamond_4 for the mandatory change in schedule, we could not meet our daily trip itinerary. Thus a trip of a lifetime was canceled. From the discussions we felt Diamond_4 had 1) no vested interest in the success of the client's trip. And 2), no interest in client satisfaction levels. We also learned they have 3) no internal processes to manage business upsets beyond passing it on to the client. And 4) no capabilities for acting to mitigate wildness emergencies of clients or wranglers out of cell phone range, of which there are numerous satellite options. They do get one star for refunding our deposit. But still, the trip of a lifetime was lost. The whole experience with Diamond_4 for a client specified spot trip was very disappointing. I would not recommend their services as client safety in the wilderness and trip satisfaction is at high risk due to upsets from weather, internal business failures, or medical factors compared to other outfitters I have used

Booking with Equitours was truly one of the worst experiences of my life. 19 days before our…read moreintended trip, my spouse had a horrible riding accident that required immediate surgery and crippled her for a year and a half. The day after her accident, we contacted Equitours and asked if there was SOME dispensation that could be made given this turn of events. While we understood we could not recoup much of our costs (to be clear and fair - we were under the 30 day window, and understand trip guides need to be paid and horses managed for rider spots) we thought perhaps Equitours would work with us and extend some recompense for SOME part of our trip - a credit, a transfer, someone to take our place - we suggested a seriously discounted rate of 40 or 50% off on their website or social media- any rate to get a little back! Equitours simply posted the trip at a 10% discount once on their Facebook page and then our agent immediately went on vacation, kicked off her OOO, and dropped us since our trip was paid for and that was that. No communication, nor was a a single dime of our trip was refunded, transferred, or credited. Equitours pretty much said "oh well." We will NEVER do an Equitours ride again nor would we recommend this company for their terrible customer service.

Don't think that because you flew in to the Jackson hole airport that you got the full view. In my opinion, the greatest views are from the west side just above table mountain. The great thing about fly Jackson hole, is their aircraft. They are impeccably maintained, and the instructors are top notch. I especially recommend Jeff, if you can get in the plane with him, you are going to have the experience of a lifetime-I guarantee it.
