The balcony was handy for wet things and the room had a boot / glove dryer too. My son used the spa tub in the bathroom, while I did not -- I appreciated the very hot water. We liked the variety of trail rides customized to each family members riding ability, and enjoyed the private river float with truly exceptional guides. We do recommend a car to explore hikes or sights around the area and venture into Yellowstone. And yes, the weather can be somewhat unpredictable - we got rained, hailed and snowed on in July... - and mosquitoes are plentiful. Just remember you are in the natural habitat of all sorts of wildlife.

Our vacation in Wyoming was fabulous, made even more so by our stay at The Wildflower Lodge. It is…read morea spacious, comfortable, and well-cared for home in a lovely natural setting. On our first full day at the lodge we saw a moose with her two calves. Later, two juvenile red-tailed hawks frequently rested on the rocks by the creek that runs next to the house. A fox and deer visited as well. The manager of the property, Meg, was very accessible, and tended to all our needs. She is a warm, friendly person, as is Chef Renee. Breakfasts were quite a treat, and the evening meals were akin to fine dining. We planned our vacation for over a year, as this was our first extended family trip in quite a while. We came from Washington, Oregon, Georgia, and North Carolina. Wyoming and The Wildflower Lodge did not disappoint. None of us were ready to leave when our week was up. An epic vacation!

Wow - we booked this on a last-minute whim, and what a delightful surprise! This ended up being a…read morehighlight of our 5-nights of hotels, while we were traveling around South Dakota and Wyoming. Charming lakeside cabin, that was perfectly apportioned with lots of room to roam! Clean as can be, modern cabin with only one neighbor on one side - rustic, with simply stunning views of the lake. Outdoor seating areas were lovely, too: We enjoyed them all from the deck to the fireside chairs. Parking was easy right above the unit that we stayed in (which was number 13). Staff was friendly and just overall kind & fun - from the gal who checked us in, to the two lovely ladies who cleaned the rooms. Check-in was super easy and they have a cute little gift shop with novelty and necessity items. They even have a lakeside restaurant and bar which, much to our may, we failed to check out before they closed at 8 PM - but it looked pretty darn special, and there was a huge deck of the main dining room/bar area for Lakeside viewing. Great places to walk and we even noticed they have an event center - we could imagine the weddings there would be fabulous! We can't wait to come back!! 5-star experience! GO!!
