Shortly after our first game, it got insanely busy. Tyler was literally running around- from addressing guests concerns, to running the front desk/getting people set up on lanes to running out food. We did end up having problems with our Lane but Tyler and the mechanic did what they could to get the problem fixed. When it still wasn't working, Ashley helped to get our situation fixed, apologized and gave us passes to try again another day. Even through the mechanical issues and food wait weren't fun and kind of frustrating, Tyler and Ashley left us with a great experience! We will definitely be back!

We visited the South Milwaukee Arcade for the first time on a Saturday evening. The bar was not…read moreoverly crowded (it looked like mostly regulars), and there were plenty of bowling lanes open, which is why our group chose to visit. It is often hard to find bowling open on a Saturday evening, so we were pleasantly surprised. The drinks are inexpensive, however do know this is a CASH ONLY bar for everything - bowling shoes, games, drinks, and food. There is an ATM, but who wants to pay a $2.50 fee if they have to? Come prepared and bring cash with you. We had some pizza while we were there; the menu is all bar food, but the pizza was good and the prices for food were inexpensive as well. We had an enjoyable evening bowling and played two games with 8 people. By 10PM, we were the only people bowling on the 8-ish or so lanes available. The ball selection isn't as good as larger places, but with a bit of looking one should be able to find something that works for them. I would recommend the South Milwaukee Arcade for bowling, especially if you're looking for more of a relaxed and casual night in a place that isn't overcrowded.

We were at group of 4 and they let us use two lanes so we could get more games in during the hour rental period. There is an area with some arcade games, as well as several dart boards and a pool table. The business has a small town feel and does not seem like anything has changed since the 70s or 80s. They have a full bar and also have a food menu. If you are in the area and looking for a quick game of bowling, especially at an odd time, check out Lucky Lanes!

Location is a little sketchy, and this is definitely a dive bar at its finest, but the real star of the show is the duck pin bowling located in the back. For those not familiar, it's a much shorter, elevated lane than regular bowling. Select from different weighted, softball size balls and roll it down the lane. It's much easier than regular bowling and scores tend to be high, so it's a nice ego boost and tons of fun! And instead of a machine re-racking the pins, there are teenagers that sit back there to set them up. Tips: Cash only for the bowling which is $5 dollars a person. Make sure to tip your pin setters! Its best to call in advance to reserve a lane, but walk ins welcome. There are four lanes and you can rent one or more for an hour and a half each. They bowl super late, and is an awesome spot to hang out with a group and play a few rounds! Come knock some pins down at this legendary spot!

I hosted my daughter's birthday party here on 9/21/25 and it was the worst experience I've ever…read morehad. When I booked the party, the staff didn't know how to take my deposit and assured me it was fine. On the day of the party, staff seemed confused, had me down incorrectly, and made me pay the full bill before I could even order food or drinks. (In my previous experience I was able to pay everything at the end as I usually add on extra food and drinks.) I had to keep asking for basic things like tablecloths, cups, and soda that should have been included in the birthday package. The lane setup was also messed up and wasn't fixed until almost an hour into the party. Last year I had a great experience here with the same package (which included a host and a keepsake pin), but this time none of that was provided. I was told the package had changed and did not include this, but when I called to book the party, the website reflected the old package which should have been honored or communicated ahead of time. Instead, I spent the entire party running around trying to get staff to do things that should have been done already. Completely unorganized, misleading, and not worth the money. I will never book another party here again. I even emailed management directly with all of these details and never received a response, which shows how little they value their customers.
