Six adults on a Sunday afternoon…read more We were seated promptly even though two of our party were running late. Service was fantastic. Food arrived hot and our drinks stayed full. We ordered the giant pretzel, potato skins and Reuben rolls. All very good. The Reuben rolls were really yummy. My daughter had a sandwich, I think it was a BLT. Her boyfriend had wings and fries. My other daughter had French onion soup; it was delicious. My husband had the French dip. I took a bite and was wishing I could take a few more bites. Someone had the Gyro flatbread. I think of all the things ordered that day, the gyro flatbread was the only miss. Super fun place to catch a game or catch up with friends or family.

While we could have waited in the car, we elected to outside. Service and ambience were on par. My biggest problem and main reason for the 3 stars is the complete sham mockery of the vegetable side. Beautifully cooked rotisserie chicken, delicious fries. The mixed vegetable side is the worst attempt at vegetables I've ever seen. Think vegetables you get in an institution, only 10x worse. My recommendation would be to invest some energy in improving side. I can come up with any number of vegetables that would turn this into a knockout dish. Go and enjoy the food. Just stay away from the veg.

We came early on a week night so it wasn't busy and we were seated right away. During sports on TV this place can fill up and be a bit noisy so if you're looking for quiet, prob not during a Packer game or other big sporting events. First off, they had Sprite Zero!! Not many places have sugarfree caffeine free soda so I was over the moon. We started with some cheese curds which were very good. They were batter dipped not breaded (I prefer batter dipped). I had the biria tacos. I did find them greasy (as biria tacos can be) but also didn't find a lot of flavor in the dipping consommé. For me these were just ok. Not sure I would get them again. There are plenty of other choices in the menu - you won't run out of things to try. My friend got the half sandwich and soup combo. It was a lot of food. She took quite a bit home. Over all it's a great place to go whether it's a planned night out or spur of the moment stop. Never had bad service here!

I tried their tavern pizza, and it was the best pizza I've had in a long time. It had a paper thin crust, was cooked perfectly, and was filling. My s'mores pizookie was great too, but in my opinion, it could've used less marshmallow.

The first thing that put us off was the seating. The restaurant wasn't busy, as it was around 4 pm, and there was plenty of seating. I am temporarily and obviously handicapped, yet the host took us way to the back of the restaurant, up some stairs, and to an elevated booth - why, when seating was available at the front and others were seated there? Our booth's table hadn't been cleaned and the banquette on my husband's side had crumbs all over and a glop of wet ketchup. Our sodas came very promptly, and we ordered and it took perhaps 15 minutes for our food. My husband did like his burger, and it was cooked to order. The French fries, though, were dry and not hot, just barely warm. He also got a cup of coleslaw, which he took home. I had a house side salad, which was good, accompanied by a bowl of soup. The soup was tepid at best and had a skin already formed on the surface; it was also the wrong flavor. I had ordered chicken tortilla and got clam chowder. I asked for the right soup, and for it to be hot; after waiting for 7 minutes, it was delivered, but I once again received clam chowder! I like clam chowder, and as I didn't see the server, I just ate it, and it was good - and hot. But still. What struck us as being very unprofessional was a cluster of between 5 and 7 servers, all hanging around a table playing with their phones and talking and laughing loudly amongst themselves. That just didn't leave a good impression with us. And the coleslaw my husband took home? He decided to eat it after having it in the fridge at home a couple hours, and it had a rancid, sour, spoiled taste. Not going back to BJ's, for sure!!

How are local people not talking more about this spot?! What a hidden gem! 1st and Bowl is unique "sports bar" with so many fun things to do for people of all ages. The gaming areas included separate spaces for kids and adults, like the football bowling & connect-4 basketball. There were also pickleball courts, cornhole boards, billiards tables, golf simulators, lots of screens with different live games on, and in my opinion, the creme de la creme: the Nerf Wars arena. Lights off, black lights on, all out fun! I haven't had that much excitement playing with Nerf guns in years! Some other things observed but didn't get to experience were the full bar and a full kitchen --both looked clean, well stocked, and ready for orders. Lots of comfortable seating, tables, and little private "rooms" around the courts to chill in while playing/eating. All of the separate areas looked very clean and organized, with clearly written game instructions for the various games visible by each court. From what I saw and experienced on the day I went, I'm pleasantly impressed with this place. If you're looking for a new place to have a kid's or adult's birthday celebration, a place for a first date (or 2nd or 3rd!), something to do on the weekend with your kids, a place to hang out casually with friends, family, coworkers, literally whatever the occasion -- than look no further than 1st and Bowl. This venue is top notch!

There is a full service bar and kitchen which offers a variety of pizzas, nachos, and other odds and ends. There's also pull tabs and an ATM. The space is available for both kids and adult parties, as well as corporate events and fundraisers. Adult parties, depending on size, run from $250-$760. Kids parties from $195-$500. Food and drinks were basic but good. The space is rather rudimentary, and on really cold winter days gets a bit chilly. Still, the open spaces are well organized and set up. A nice place for friends and families to spend time being active inside when being outside is not an option.
